Sandies was the perfect place to staff for our family vacation. I've stayed in several places in Zanzibar but this topped them all! The full board price was great for value and also included wine and beer which I didn't expect. The view is to die for with beautiful sunsets every day. I highly recommend this accommodation for anyone traveling to Zanzibar!

Amazing holiday ”
We had an amazing holiday at Sandies Baobab Beach. The resort ground is so pretty with cute thatched roof bungalows and flower gardens you just want to walk around and feel the quietness. It's got direct access to the beach and many sunbeds on the beach. We had the all-inclusive option and the food was really delicious. Overall great value for money.

A really wonderful resort - both relaxing and lively entertainments available to join in as you fancy. Stunning location, grounds and accommodation (just like in the photos!), with attentive and welcoming staff where nothing is too much trouble. Beaches with shops and bars on neighbouring beaches to walk to. Definitely recommend for anyone :-)

The staff are amazing and find ways to keep guests entertained all day! The food is amazing and they have a theme each night which we loved. We were a group of women traveling and felt safe throughout. I will be back!

Nice place with perfect food”
You get what you can expect for your money. It's a typical huge hotel, nice, clean rooms, evening shows, perfect food. The garden is amazing. The pool is nice and clean, perfect for children. Beautiful seaside, beautiful white clean sand, busy shore, one of the few places where we could buy icecream :) It is far from real Zanzibar, but perfect for a few relaxing days.

This was my 3rd Hotel on Zanzibar in 10 days stay and by far the best Hotel and most enjoyable staff! At last no disappointments. Well trained, polite and attentive staff from cool towel and welcome drink at reception to the friendliest of pool boys and maintenance man. The restaurant served great buffet with a loads of fresh choices and different themes daily. The bar was well stock with a nice choice of drinks even under the fully inclusive. The pool was warm n sparkling and the beautiful beach area in front was raked clean daily. Security was on the ball too, so a safe location for families. This is well run Hotel resort with high standards for it's star rating. I would defiantly stay here again!

a better than expected hotel at a reasonable price”
We chose this hotel after Qatar Airways changed our flights and we could not stay at our initial choice , The royal zanzibar, next door. The Sandies, being only a 4 star exceeded our expectations. The food was great, the rooms were reasonable, with standard comforts, and the proper african style. The staff was very good. Only minor issue was the unreliability of the free internet, which was accessible only at the reception and sometimes at the bar. There was a standard internet available in the rooms, but it was not free. Overall, a great experience.

Great location with restaurant right on the beach. Staff were unbelievable. They made a 60th birthday celebration very special. Look out for Wales in the restaurant. Rooms are large and very clean. Unfortunately have to arrange for a fridge at an extra cost. The grounds are beautiful and extremely well maintained. They do need to find a way of keeping the food in the restaurant warm without overcooking it. Otherwise probably the best choice for all inclusive on Nungwi beach.

Fabulous holiday destination, great location, 2 hours from Ferry, 1.30 minute from airport, food is good but not great. Fabulous staff, very friendly,. Great beach. Fun fun fun.

Amazing staff, very clean. If you are concerned about Covid, this is NOT the hotel for you. Absolutely no one uses a mask at this hotel. Otherwise, great place, the food is good and the fact that the beach is separated from the hotel by the staircases, you can sunbathe without the harassment from the people trying to sell you things/tours.

When we were at the resort, about 75% of the guests were all-inclusive guests from Eastern Europe. They start drinking before lunch and can be quite present.

Secure, nice staff, and great rooms. Better to go with All Inclusive as that makes sense if you are staying for atleast 3-4 days. Food could be improved especially salad section and desert section.

The location is good. Has an almost private beach and is at a stone's throw to Nungwi souvenir market and restaurants making it quite safe. The restaurant has the best sea view. The breakfast spread could have been better. There is no tea/coffee facility in room. The bathing area in the room is quite small while the WC and the bidet were little far apart than desired. the staff is helpful. Our checkout was at 12pm but since our flight was late at night, they allowed us to take shower before leaving in one of the available rooms.
