Amazing Onsen!!!”
For the price, you really can't beat Sansuiso. It's an older onsen but what separates it from others are the private baths. Some are indoors while others are outdoors. Get the outdoor ones if you can. Incredible feeling and view. The public baths aren't to be missed also with fantastic views of the waterfall. The staff here are so nice and accommodating and the food is incredible. I'm already planning my return.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, but a bit hard for non Japanese spoken because the staff only talk in Japanese. But thankfully they can use the Google translate to talk with us. The room is soo amazing, with very nice view we got the window view for the garden. The room is in Japanese style and looks very nice. This hotel have soo many onsen room, with 3 available for anyone who stays in the hotel and many other privet onsen room. The best onsen room was in the 6th floor with amazing views of the waterfall. Although the waterfall can be seen from the onsen in 3rd floor, but the best view is on the 6th floor. I love it. But the best thing is the dinner foods, it is soo amazing and very delicious. For anyone who want to go here from Fukushima Station, don't forget to reserve the free bus ride offered by the ryokan from there. Oh one thing is, this ryokan is a very good value for money because it offer soo many satisfying benefits.

Great Hotel”
Location a bit far from fukushima station but they provide free shuttle. But need to call for reservation, maybe if can book online would be better. Everything about the room is perfect. They have private onsen but we have to pay 1080 yen to use. Public onsen is free. Staff english language very limited but they prepare voice translation.

Great lengths for hospitality ”
I sent a message a day before on agoda to request for free shuttle from fukushima station. I arrived at fukushima station about 30 minutes early and went about looking for the shuttle at west exit and apparently the driver was already there waiting. He checked my name on his name list and i was the only guest on the list but despite that he told me to wait until the exact time (2:30 pm) before he leaves. That kept me wondering but i was fine as i went to nearby bookstore and 30 mins easily past. After getting on board the shuttle, I realized the driver was not only expecting me but also on the look out for any potential guests that might needed a ride. Thumbs up for the discipline and courtesy of the hotel staff for being sensitive even for the little things.

Best onsen experiece! Dated hotel”
Stayed just for 1 night at Sansuiso. There's a free shuttle bus departing from Fukushima Station at 2:30, which you can identify by the blue logo from Tsuchiyu Onsen. Staff were really nice and even though they didn't speak English that well, they really made an effort to communicate. Best onsen experience I had in my whole trip through Japan. I mean, taking a bath overlooking a waterfall, hearing the birds sing and catching some raindrops with your hand, sound like the perfect story... And it was. It included dinner and breakfast. They were not great, but they were good. What they don't tell you when making the reservation, is that dinner doesn't include bevarages. On the other hand, you can tell the facilities are dated and rather old and cold. Although being an old hotel, it is well taken care of.

Fantastic stay”
Had a great time staying at Sansuiso. Beautiful surroundings, great indoor and outdoor baths, nice traditional style rooms and lovely helpful staff. The multi-course chef curated dinner set menu was well worth the money and a great way to experience Japanese cuisine. Will come back again.

Highly recommend! They have a lot of bath options - open air, private onsen and a variety on the 6th floor. The baths on the first floor were under renovation. If you can, I recommend having their set dinner - lots of delicious food!

Surrounding area is beautiful, as is the hotel itself. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is great!
