Hot spring good but it's charged. Dinner & Breakfast were excellent. As the hotel is located next to the dock, the boat often makes a sound until mid-night.

Good for couple and getaway for a day or two”
I really max. out my time and make every cent I paid to good worth. Drove up from Shirahama and this area has pretty much nothing, so it was a good time staying at the lounge enjoying the sea view with coffee and teas, and then make my way to the open-air sea-facing onsen for a restful dip. Ask for dinner at 6pm, and you will witness and be acccompanied by the sun setting around the coast, priceless view.

Amazing view, amazing baths ”
This accommodation felt very traditional; when we were there, the guests were mostly Japanese and the staff only spoke Japanese. That being said, I would recommend this accommodation if you have a car. As this accommodation is located on a hilltop, you will wake up to a beautiful sight of the sea and the port. The public bath in this accommodation is also beautiful, with both an indoor and outdoor bath, and the outdoor bath overlooks the sea and the port as well. Though this place is about 20 - 25 minutes away from the town, if you have a car, it is not that far away and there are many convenience stores and restaurants / fast food outlets which open late. The accommodation makes one feel relaxed, in a very traditional setting, and it is also value for money.

Hot Spring can only serves small group of people. However, the not pleasant experience came from the addition of chlorine to the water which affected the feeling of using the Hot spring.

Heartfelt gratitude to the staff”
I stayed in Kancho Hot Spring Hotel for 6 nights on my own, which is very unusual. It’s quite challenging for the hotel, especially the catering staff, as I would surely get bored with the food and facilities. However, they didn’t disappoint me, instead they provided superb hospitality to me, a loner. The environment was quiet and accessible. I was taken care well with the least disturbance. The staff were friendly and tried hard to communicate with me to make me feel at home. What impressed me most was the fact that they prepared different meals for me every day, lest I would be bored. I was touched when I saw my name on the dinner food list starting from the third day of my stay. They made dishes just for me every day! They even prepared a western breakfast with bread and jam and a best ever corn soup for me! I have to thank everyone at Kancho for giving me such a wonderful vacation during the worst time of my life. You did make a different! I highly recommend Kancho to you!

Nice Onsen hotel on the slope facing a Harbour village, beautiful view and very relaxing, recommend for those who drive. Need taxi to go to town and nearby attraction. They also offer shuttle bus.

Nice place but hidden ”
We booked an open bath room. It was cosy and spacious. The staff are very nice and help with the luggages. It’s very hard to find the hotel but it’s worth it! There are some parking space and one slot for ev-quick charge for free ^^

Nice view and food”
We chose the package including breakfast and dinner, the food was very good. As we went fishing in the afternoon, hotel chef help us to prepare 2 lovely dish with our fish! The hot spring wasn't big but very cozy and with a nice sea view. Staff was friendly and helpful!

Beautiful view”
Select the largest room and enjoy the view of the harbor and bay. The ryokan was empty, warm and relaxing. The staff was all smiles. We had the balcony and tub outside to enjoy the view. Mosquitos were a bit on the attack but overall it was very positive and memorable.
