Incredible location, incredible rooms and incredible service! ”
We stayed for 3 nights before moving onto another igloo for a night and to be honest I wish we had stayed at the star artic for all 4 nights. The staff were incredibly helpful. The room was beautiful but unfortunately we did have a hiccup( an issue that could’ve happened at any hotel). The manager handled our complaint with such professionalism and provided generous compensation so much so that I highly recommend the star artic to anyone considering travelling to the area. Thank you to the staff at star artic and we can’t wait to visit again.

The best hotel in my trip in Finland ”
Stylish, cosy and clean room, and food is also marvelous. Just next to the longest toboggan in Saariselkä.

A night at Star Arctic”
Pros: nice view from atop , specially during sunset, clean and comfortable bed. Cons: we got the aurora cabin,, the reflection of the lights from another hotel and the chairlift is disturbing, wasn’t able to sleep well... some staffs are not hospitable and still needs a bit of PR training .

An Exceptional Experience”
This is the first time we're staying in a hotel with transparent roof. Although we didn't get to see the Aurora on the night we stayed, but it's still a nice experience in this hotel. Like it and the staff are friendly.

Nice but needs a lot of improvement ”
Pros: 1. Located at hill- view is great. and near to ski park. But also the cons, you have not much choice for foods but their restaurant if you doesnt have own transport. 2. Some staff are nice and helpful , but some of them needs training. 3. Clean. 4. Breakfast is nice and taste good but with limited choice. And everyday is the same. Cons:- 1. There is flood after shower. 2. Room 310 - Light pollution, light reflection from main restaurant. Not a prefect room for aurora. 3. No proper room for luggage storage. Basically you can just dump your luggages anywhere. 4. Messages sent and confirmed there is dinner served. Re-confirm around 3pm to reserve the table for dinner but receptionist said there is no necessary. Reach restaurant around 6pm, initially they said no dinner serve for the day, but fortunately one of the staff said they have only one dish leave for us, which is reindeer stew. But customer come in later have a fish dishes serve without booking in advance.

Pros: location on top of hill away from the town making it easier to view the Aurora Borealis. Also very close to chairlift for easy access if skiing. Toboggan run literally next to the hotel. Clean spacious suite rooms Lovely view of Saariselka from the balcony of the Scenic Suite rooms and of the sky from the Aurora Cabin Some staff very helpful & accommodating with requests Buffet breakfast whilst not extensive was more than adequate and provides a good start to the day Cons Steep staircase in the Scenic suite rooms. Tiny bathroom in Aurora Cabin, poorly designed - toilet gets wet when having shower.

Aurora cabin”
Great stay with excellent service. Unlike most hotels which do not cater for kettle, this one does! The place will look nice in winter when snow covers the gravel/sandy ground. The room is beautiful especially for indoor photoshoot and location (Main lobby/outdoor/ Suite with view) provides you an awesome views of national park ahead and Saariselka town. Just a lack of privacy to forgo for the Aurora cabin. Be careful while driving on a foggy night.. the signs along the "road" to the hotel can be improved on...

Nice hotel”
Nice hotel with polite staff. The hotel is still new and expanding. Location is good if you have a car. Could be better if the gym is neater. The stairs can be improved to make it safer esp. families with young kids.

Fantastiskt”
Beautiful hotel, slightly on the pricy end. Airport transfer by hotel costs a bomb for a relatively short rIde. The cabin was fantastic. Clean and cosy. Great room service. Great wifi. Breakfast is good, but the usual fare, nothing fancy. Great location for Aurora viewing. Came in Sept. Not quite skiing season. Plenty of wild berries just nearby and good trekking trails. The ski slope and lift is literally a minute’s walk, with a souvenir shop and a restaurant. Happy stayer. :)

interesting glass house”
Glass roof is interesting but as other's have noted that privacy can be an issue. I expect other glass roof themed hotel to have similar issue. The bathroom maybe a tight fit for some. Had a great enjoyable stay.

Beautiful warm snowy hideaway with caring staff”
Fantastic place to start our honeymoon, the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. The views from the windows were breath taking, absolutely magical place 10/10 :)

Amazing Stay”
We enjoy the stay in suite even there is no Aurora at night. The room is with high ceiling, beautiful & comfortable. The staff here is helpful. The restaurant food is delicious. And we join the safari tour, it’s fun!

The worst experience ever”
Awfully expensive, paying 6 star price but receiving 2 star service. We arrived at 12. According to agoda booking, we can check in at 3pm. However, they said the room is not yet cleaned becoz of lack staff, we waited for 2 hours until 5pm. Thus we are asking to have a late check out for 2 hours for compensation, and the reply is NO. NOT POSSIBLE. In the meantime waiting, we did not receive any complimentary drinks in such cold weather. we are told to leave our luggages in a corner where no one taking care of. no conceigre, So don't bring expensive ski clothes or equipment. And rooms temperature are awfully cold. it's 14 degree celsius for whole night in our first room. but 21 degree celsius for another room. in our first room. AC only 14 degree. WIFI not working. TV not working. Window is blocked with snow even the windows are self heated. plus u can see reflections on the windows. And the rooms are too close to each other. i can actually see what tv programme is playing next room.

Property less luxuries features ”
Located on top of the mountain which is very good view to spot the aurora in the igloo. But the hotel wasn’t ready and set as high price just not worth to stay for non of the facilities is working well. Inexperienced staff and was not able to fullfill even a 3 stars hotel service. WiFi is not functioning and the hot water generator running noice in the middle of the night can be heard clearly inside your igloo. Overall not value for money.

Super Hotel - viel zu teuer für Leistung”
+ tolles Frühstück + gute Lage - Zimmer haben keine besonders luxuriöse Ausstattung für den Preis - Lüftungssystem ist laut - Ausblick war durch zweite Hausreihe verbaut (mich interessiert nicht das Schlafzimmer anderer Hotelgäste, sondern der Ausblick auf den Berg und das Tal wenn ich 350 € die Nacht bezahle) - Rezeptionistin musste eigentlich bei jedem Anliegen einen Kollegen fragen, sofern sie am Platz anzutreffen war -> immer längere Wartezeiten Fazit: Von der Lage her sehr schln, aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist miserabel

Utmärkt”
Das Hotel hat die beste Lage im Ort und von dem Balkon der Panorama Suite hat man einen Blick auf die ganze Landschaft. Das Frühstück könnte etwas Abwechslungsreicher sein. Das Abendessen war sehr sehr lecker. Die Hotel Angestellten waren super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Unsere Suite war sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Also wir können dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.
