Clean, good location, friendly staff”
this hotel is at a good location, you just need to walk 5 mins into the tunnel across the road and you can get to the main central place where all the activities are at. the hotel and room is clean and tidy. the scenery was very pretty on the 3rd floor which i was staying so its good! beds are also comfortable. decoration is old but still pleasant. breakfast also have quite a variety of food but scrambled eggs were cold. would preferred if they have some hot food since its the winter time now and everything is cold. staff are friendly and willing to help. i would wana stay at this hotel again.

The location is better than it looks. Short walk to old town, 5 minutes Thur a well lit tunnel. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Salzburg was a really fun town, take the city tour.

Location is perfect, in summer the room is hot (air con did not cool the air, only flow).

Pro: great great location, attractions all in walkable distance. Staff are friendly and helpful. Spacious room. Cons: Room cleanliness can be improved - saw black stain around curtain and bed sheets No aircon hence room abit stuffy - will not recommend if going during summer Slow wifi

We were 2 adults and 2 children in a family room for 5 nights. I chose this place for its location even though breakfast was chargeable. But what surprised me that the room did not even have an electric kettle and cups or glasses to drink from) Though they were kind to lend us a kettle on request. But we’re not too happy to lend us cups( what use is a kettle if I can’t have a cup to drink water/ coffee from) So every night we used to borrow 2 glasses and 2 cups from the restaurant to our room and carry it to our room. Also no phone in the room either! So u cannot call them if there is an issue. On the second day the shower area got clogged but was sorted only on the 5th night and when I requested a change of room.

The star inn deserves 6 stars! Location is very near the sights to see, room can fit 3 comfortably with many more space to move around and most of all the staff Christina and Daniel went out of their way to help solve my booking disaster. Best staff ever!

Clean comfortable room in good location”
The parking was an issue as they had no car parking spots left when we arrived and we ended up parking in the public car park which was about 150-200m walk to the hotel uphill with our luggage. The attendant was not particularly helpful in regards to this. Apart from that we initially got into the room which terribly smelt of smoke I rung reception and stated that I had requested a non-smoking room and they were able to change us to another room which was much better. Overall the room was clean and comfortable although small. The location of the hotel is good just a short walk to the old town centre. The breakfast was good and quite reasonable priced at 12 euro per person. The wifi Internet was free which was also good.

we chose this hotel due to its proximity to the old town and the fortress and it didn't disappoint. all of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. parking in this area is an issue although the star inn offers secure underground parking for per night. the room was comfortable and fine for a short stay. overall, we thought this hotel offered good value for money given the general cost of things in salzburg.

Modern well kept hotel with minimalist features”
the location of the hotel is through the tunnel just above the old part of salzburg which is within a few minutes easy walking distance. it has a tram stop immediately outside with trams that run to the airport and to the railway station and to the centre of the city. breakfast at the hotel cafe is good and comprehensive but not exactly cheap. the staff are helpful and friendly and d there is complimentary internet access available. the rooms are minimally furnished but very clean and with excellent en-suite bathrooms.

This was a nice hotel with a good location near all the city attractions. It is a good starting area to explore the city. Amenities were provided for, and service staff were friendly. The rooms were good enough to make you feel relaxed in. while providing you the comforts you need after a long day.
