A truly 5 star hotel with great facilities”
Guard Hotel is an amazing property. Great Breakfast, amazing pool, on campus mosque, glittering and welcoming reception, comfortable room. Overall a very nice play to stay and rest after a hectic day touring Cairo. The only small negatives are that the bathroom is small ( due to which the room is spacious), and the security is very tight. You need to get your bags checked everytime you enter the hotel and it feels uncomfortable to be checked everytime. The location is near to airport so kids get to see a lot of aeroplanes. For people who need complete silence, the passing of aeroplanes from very near might create a bit of disturbance. The hotel is atleast 40 mins away from thr city center so travelling takes time but is not too costly in egypt. However, it is very near the airport in case you need to catch a flight.

Lovely hotel / nice swimming pool /good breakfast / best thing about this hotel is very clean ,lovely rooms . you get a brecelet so they no you are a resident at hotel ,but the security guards on the gate are very rude ,even you show your bracelet and ID ,,and becareful with parking ,they tell you to pay at the cabin ,but you only pay for the whole day ,very confusing . Dahlia on reception very pleasant and helpful .

Very good hotel, the room is clean and the amenities and supplies are complete. It’s 10mins away from the airport so good if you need somewhere to stay for a night to catch an early flight

This hotel only gives u 1 room key. And their staff can rudely without permission enter your room if you don’t answer the door even if there’s people inside. Their price on menu for dine in room meal is not transparent.

Arrived early hours of the morning, very unprofessional reception staff. Took 2 bottles i bought from free shop in the airport as the hotel does not allow alcohol to be carried with residents, let alone drinking it. Wanted to extend my stay and i was caught a double price to what i paid online. The toilet was dribbling water through a leak . They have problems with accepting £ pounds, they can only take $ or € . Obviously badly run can obviously be much better. They have a long way to go to be rated 5stars.

For travellers who need to get to the airport, this hotel is only 4km away from it. However, nearby doesn’t have much to walk or shop around, so if you would like to explore Cairo, you likely would need to halt a cab. Facilities wise… I didn’t use much, but there is a large pool and restaurant. I visited during Ramadan period, so after break fast, there seems to party at the pool area till I think, around 10pm? Restaurant despite open, you may not be able to order any food during the fasting hours. Room is big and I find it clean, but there was a heavy smoking residues leftover. I could only air it on the next day, as it was night when I check in, and the party at the pool area has started. Basic amenities were good with toothbrush, shower stuff and hair dryer. Overall, quite a good stay but I would depends on my needs whether is it a short or long stay. If is a short stay which I need to get to the airport on the next day, I will choose this.

Honestly it’s a great and an amazing hotel, Very clean and what’s in the picture exactly in reality which is very rare to find that in Egypt, Also the staff they are very kind and nice and I would like special thanks Mohamed Kamal and Radwa …. If you want to book with this hotel don’t hesitate…. But you have to know that because the hotel very close to the airport you will hear a lot of planes noises.. rather than that everything is great

Prices is reasonable, but communication and service falls short”
I had booked here based on a few reviews and the price. The pictures also make it look quite modern. As a tourist, using this as a base makes for a long commute. On the GPS, it looks reasonably located but it takes more than an hour in typical Cairo traffic in a private transfer to get to Saqqara, Giza, etc. As an anglophone, trying to communicate with the staff is very difficult. Most don't speak much English at all. I spent two days trying to arrange for laundry services and even though they respond "yes" and "no problem" I latter learned, by their own admission, that they don't understand (this followed a 2 minute phone call with responses like the above followed by "I no speak English." I suspect that the service would be very good if you speak Arabic though as they were generally polite and reasonably well staffed.

We stayed only a few nights but they’ve got the best breakfast selection and freshly made falafels! There is a good restaurant and convenience store within walking distance as well. Pleased with their service :)

the hotel is located near by cairo airport and near by surrounding areas are clean and neat. The hotel does not have some facilities as mentioned while booking like club lounges, spa, etc
