Weekend off short holiday”
I just took a short weekend holiday and choose this hotel because of the location that close to our favourite restaurant and also casino. However the casino is very fully occupied on the weekend especially after 4 pm. We couldn't get in because of long queue. Staff are very nice and proceed our check in efficiently. Room is quite big and small balcony for a beer in the afternoon. However the window of the balcony is very dirty like hasn't been cleaned for ages is the down side of this room. Its very busy environments on the weekend so don't expect privacy if you want to book this hotel. We will definitely come back when the casino is back to normal operating procedures, like no more zoning and can fit more people, because at the moment its over crowded.

Amazing....if I can only give more than 5 star”
This is so far the best hotel that I stayed in my life. I can't find the right word how satisfied I was with the service and how I and my friend was treated on our stay. We were pampered. I booked two two rooms and both was upgraded to suites. One of which I found out is one of the luxurious and expensive suite they have. I can't believe it. Great view. The view are magnificent. Spotless and modern. Comfortable bed. Great facilities. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back. Great breakfast too. Thank you Astral and the staff for making our last stay memorable. You definitely deserved more than 5 star. I may miss missed something on this review but everything was really great. I will be back soon and for more stay. I will move my loyalty to this hotel from my loyalty to a chain of hotels for 3 years. You are definitely better than them.

Exceptional night away”
My girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a corner suite with views of Darling Harbour. Everything about this hotel amazes me. The finishing touches are top quality and the room is huge, clean and modern. The staff are also a great asset of this hotel. Compared with 5 other 5 star hotels in Sydney that I have stayed at, this one beats them all hands down. The ONLY negative point I'd like to make is that the only real breakfast option is Harvest Buffet which concludes breakfast at 10am and costs $40 pp. Another restaurant option for breakfast would be ideal (besides room service).

This is the first time I stayed at The Star Grand Hotel. I am a Sydney local. My sister and I decided to have a city stay and do some last minutes Christmas shopping. We bought the accommodation through Agoda because it had a very good deal for the hotel. When we arrived the lady at check in was very friendly. She advised we have been upgraded to The ANZAC suite. We were speechless when we walked into our suite as it was huge, more like an apartment. It is over 100 sqm with lounge, dining room, wine cellar, powder room for guests, 3 TVs etc. It has view of Harbour Bridge from the dining area. The ensuite bathroom was huge with separate shower, bath tub and enclosed toilet. All windows have electric blinds as well as curtains. The suite was so quiet that we had an exceptional night of rest. Will definitely consider staying at The Star Grand next time we plan a city stay.

Luxury and quality”
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, the bed was unbelievably comfortable! All fittings and furnishings were luxurious and well appointed. Bathrooms great, no bath in our room so not sure if they are available in other apartments. Breakfast in the restaurant was amazing! They even had 3 huge chocolate fountains..white, milk and dark chocolate. Everything you could want was there and delicious! The in-house facilities were fantastic and The Star have the cleanest parking station I have seen! Would definitely recommend and will be going back again!

Pleasant stay”
Stayed here for one night, I booked a standard room but got upgraded to a city view suite! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and three TVs are so extra but it’s one of the best experience for me! And the staffs are friendly , it’s a bit difficult to find where to check in but if you ask a casino staff, they’re happy to guide you. The location is close to Darling Harbour so the view in the night is AMAZING! Since there’s a big balcony, you can take your time to enjoy it. The bed is super comfy, I want one in my own house...Breakfast buffet is delicious, especially the salmon and croissant. This hotel worths every penny you pay for and more! You won’t regret to choose it.

Absolutely enjoyed every single second in our entertainer terrace at the star. My second time staying in the same room and it always ticked all the boxes for me... clean sheets, high bed, spacious and a great bath tub for relaxation after putting my son to sleep 😌 thanks for always catering to my needs and ensuring I got this room again. Excellent Room and Location”
The room we stayed was Star Suite. It was huge, clean, filled with excellent amenities and Nespresso Machine. The bed was one of the best I've stayed at And the location is very good too. It's right by the Darling Harbor and if you like Casino, you're right on the spot. You just have to go downstairs.

Lovely hotel ”
I highly recommend The Star Grand, it’s a lovely hotel that I will continue to stay with. It has that “glam factor” with sparkling wine on arrival in the line as you check in, that was very special and the girls at reception were very welcoming and friendly. We had one slight hiccup, my partner proposed and organised rose petals and champagne in the room (but unfortunately it wasn’t done.) These things happen but he was enormously disappointed in that moment. While we can’t get that moment back, the staff have been really lovely about it and did try to fix it for another stay in future. Still highly recommend the hotel, we’ll worth the money.

From the moment we arrived my son and I were blown away. We were greeted at The Star Residence reception check in by Rachel. It was 930 am and did not expect to check in until later that afternoon. Rachel found us a room that was ready and also gave us an upgrade to a two bedroom habour view apartment as a gift for my son's 10th birthday. The room was stunning. Thank you Rachel. We will always remember your exceptional service.

With our little baby, being upgraded so he had his own room was sooo amazing and so appreciated. The apartment was stunning to the point we didn’t want to leave. Offered champagne whilst waiting to check in and the man who bought up our bags was extremely friendly and professional. We do little weekends away in Sydney and haven’t stayed at the Star before. We will only be staying here from now on.

My husband and i decided to have mini city staycation just incase of another covid lockdown. Check in was a breeze, the room was beautiful and the late check out was great for a sleep in. The customer service was great as well - Liberty was the name of the receptionist; it was definitely service with a smile! I hope the hotel will pass on the feedback to her!

Got upgraded to a suite as was on my honeymoon. Stay was great, directly above casino and walking distance to darling harbour. However, calling for housekeeping could have been more fuss free, waited for more than 5 min on the phone just to get through. Other than that, all is good!

Honestly the staff could not have been more helpful. I was away for my partners birthday & wanted to plan a few things. Everything I asked for they were more than happy to help with. I was so pleased & everything was made so easy! I would definitely recommend to stay here to others.

We booked a Queen (on a weeknight) went to check in and were given an upgrade! An apartment on the top floor! Valet parking and concierges were the best. Special mention to Phillip. We honestly could not fault anything. We will be back.

Very Luxurious”
Very impressed by the quality of the facilities and the luxurious feel of the hotel and The Star property in general. Our apartment had beautiful modern styling, furnishings and finishes throughout and amenities were excellent. Also buffet breakfast was the best I’ve ever had.
