Hotellet var gammalt och slitet och kunde varken nå upp till presenterade bilder eller beskrivningar. Läget var lite ingemansland, men rätt nära busshållsplats.

January sunshine ”
We as a family traveled to Malta for a short stay each in individual rooms. The rooms are adequate size with mini fridge, tv , hairdryer, and a few plug sockets , more would be better. The absence of small welcome water bottles a miss. The bathroom is functionally clean and towels changed daily as indeed the room and the sheets are refreshed daily too. The hotel provides a decent breakfast if not chosen in package it can be added on. We chose not to and mixed and matched according to our needs. Outside breakfast is plenty and prices competitive. The hotel provides a small indoor pool and other services. Staff very friendly , keen to help, the housekeepers are brilliant and worthy of a tip. It’s not too far from the square and or the top of qwara, the short walk a welcome as not much exercise otherwise done haha. Bus links are very near so travel is not a problem. We had car hire and the only problem we had was hotel had no parking facility so we had to hunt for space, in winter not a problem but in summer I think a big problem All in all an enjoyable stay , would I stay again Yes.

We had a pleasant stay”
Great location, staff are friendly, and our room is always cleaned. Breakfast buffet is also good and great value for money. We stayed for 2 weeks, and the only comment I have is that housekeeping shows up at random times (varying from 9:30am to 4:30pm), I have no way of setting a do not disturb (no tag available), so if you're a late starter, you might be awaken by this. Other hotels usually do this around 11am or later. Room is also nowhere soundproof, we were given a room that's in front of the elevator and we can hear every time someone comes in and out of the elevator, we can also hear when the room next to ours has their tv on. These are not a major issues for us, just again, observations. But for the price we paid, we were really happy as the room comes with a lot of storage and dressers, there's also balcony, fridge, hairdryer, tv, and free wifi.

While not the most central , the hotel is located near bus stops , the HoHo bus and the free extras like fridge , safe etc make up for this. Food is plentiful and varied . There are plenty of sunbeds . The hotel and pool area are very clean and well kept .Staff work extremely hard to deliver a high quality service . Thank you and well done . I would choose the Topaz in the future .

It's got everything u need for like ten euro's a night. Without breakfast in my case, lovely chicken pies nearby. Fridge and kettle in every room, outside pool open in November as well, actually was there 3 times already. Love it for that price 👍👍👍

Pros Very Friendly and efficient staff, good buffet breakfast and dinner reasonably priced.. nice large outdoor swimming pool ..small but nice heated indoor pool Cons Bathroom and toilet - dated and often smelly Elevators - inadequate, long wait No air conditioning.. Air conditioning was switched off centrally which was uncomfortable It is a large resort like hotel with lots of facilities and services. Addition of a fitness facility would be great

Thought the hotel would be better as reviews are more positive than not. Food biggest let down. As for covid management they are doing their best despite other guests not complying. In particular large groups. Room ok. Dated and no water pressure so shower takes longer. Location great as we have visited 3 times prior. Bars close by covid testing 200 mtrs up the road which is a drop by system. Weather fab. Hotel is tired but I don't think I'd come again 😕

This was my second stay at Topaz in past few weeks I was a bit apprehensive as on my previous stay the air conditioning had been useless. This time air con was much better. Cleaning of the room was faultless, save to say cleaner letting herself in unannounced at 8am one morning. My 9 year-old loved the hotel and relaxed rules around the pool. Food options were disappointing but main square is only a few minutes away. This time the room was spacious and away from most of the noise. Returning again on 20th and hope to have same room. Better to get the X1 bus from airport. For 2 euros it drops you a few minutes from hotel. X3 drops you a bit closer to the hotel but takes ages to get there.

I am returning next week with my son so i guess that answers would you recommend the Topaz. The good: Very relaxed hotel environment with helpful staff, covid controls, (and excellent Covid test centre in next block for trip to UK £28), room great value, well equipped including air con, free safe, great daily housing, balcony, fridge, extra room fan , comfy bed, strong WiFi and full-size bath. Not so good, room on small side even for one person, air con struggled with heat, noise around pool until early hours, no uk tv stations at all, need window net to keep mosquitoes out if balcony door open.
