Big room with excellent breakfast”
The location is excellent, easy drive to Mt.Aso, Kusasenri and Kumamoto city. The big surprise is the wide spread of breakfast and the free coffee machine. Free parking onsite. Mega Don Quijote is 10 minutes drive away, two very good Ramen shops is opposite the hotel. Complimentary facial mask and bath salt free to get at the lobby, my 3 kids doing face mask for the first time, which is so cool. :)

Spacious but abit noisy”
The room was much more spacious than most hotels I've stayed in Japan. Will probably need to drive or take a cab to get to the hotel. Was stuck in quite a bit of traffic getting to the hotel from Kumamoto City on a Friday evening. Buffet breakfast was pretty decent. My main gripe is that there were still wuite a few guests coming in with their luggages late at night and making hell alot of noise along the corridors at even close to midnight disturbing my sleep.

The breakfast is quite good with wide range of variety. Its very good to have welcome drinks and children can make marshmallow and shaved ice by themselves, the arrangement is fastastic.

Excellent customer service from counter manager Ms Onoko”
We lost the car key, and cannot communicate in Japanese with the car rental company. Hotel counter Manager Ms Onoko helped us to contact the car rental to arrange for car key replacement and it’s delivery to the hotel. Later, we found the key back. Ms Onoko helped us again to contact the car rental which finally saved us a lot time and money. Thank you very much again for Ms Onoko.

We stayed at Vessel hotel Kumamoto airport to visit Aso area . Room rate was incredibly cheap with Go to travel campaign and the coupons that you can use local shops and service were issued at the hotel . They offer a free breakfast buffet . They don’t serve dinner . But the hotel is close to restaurants and supermarkets.

The hotel fits into our road itinerary from Fukuoka to Yufuin, so it was convenient as a one night stop. We ate at this superb yakiniku restaurant (all-u-can-eat) just 2 min walk from the hotel. The hotel's breakfast was good too.

Stale cigarette smoke”
I only had one issue with my stay, the hallways and our rooms smelled of stale cigarette smoke. We had to open the windows and let the rooms air out...that let mosquitos into the room. The location was good for what we were doing, the staff was pleasant as expected. The hotel was packed so getting a room change was not possible.

Hotel room is bigger than usual but facilities seemed a bit dated. Breakfast range is very good but overcrowded and staff couldn't replenish the food timely.

Hotel is looking good. A lot of food around. Good for who that have own car. Free parking is a plus
