Keep in mind this is budget accomodation. But what you get is a very central location, bonus views right on the river, clean rooms and private bathroom PLUS the most friendly staff! Eric and his team go above and beyond, they tell you the best places to go, they help you get fair pricing - they even looked after our laundry. The guesthouse is within walking distance to the Royal Palace, the Night Market, the Morning Market, the Main St and some of the most beautiful Temples in Laos. Thank you for an amazing week Eric, we will be back.

Great Staff”

The staff are very kind and active to help you. I rent the motorcycle and park in front of hostel on the nignt The staff offer me to park in hostel (the reception zone) to protect lost. It make me comfortable to sleep (do not worry about losting) This hostel is near Wat Xiengthong, Haw Pha Bang. You can walk to survey Luang Prabang easily This hostel is cheap but high qulity. I strongly recommend everyone to stay the hotel

Wonderful”

Great location, friendly staff and owner, comfortable bed, nice shower. Room itself might be a bit small for two people, but it was a good size for myself. They have waterfall tour, which is nice, especially for solo travelers. Their restaurant has a nice view and wide range of food options, you can also get discounts. You can't find a comfortable place in this price. I would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay! ”

A very friendly and ideally located guesthouse in front of the Mekong. The rooms are quiet and neat with great-smelling towels! (your clothes will smell the same if you use the laundry service). There is hot water in the shower and aircon+fan in the room. The owner Eric is really nice and outgoing, we had interesting conversations. Breakfast at the restaurant just across the street is not included but customers of the gh do get a discount. There's also a water dispenser you can fill your bottle from if you're sick of the plastic pollution. Overall I've had a great time at View KK!

Great little guesthouse”

Ideal location on the river and good restaurant with a discount for guests. Rooms are a bit small but away from the road and quiet. The place is clean and the internet is very strong. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I'll stay again if I return to Luang Prabang.

Good location with kind staff”

I stayed there for 2 nights , was impressed since arrival. Eric welcomed us and always ask how we are, also recommend us in many things. The location is easy ,just 5 minutes walk to the market and in front with the river. The room is ok too , worth for money. If I come back again I will definite back to stay there.

Amazing ”

Eric was an amazing host. He made our stay in Luang Prabang go from great to amazing. The superior room was stunning and centrally located, Eric was very hospitable, and the food and views of the Mekong in the restaurant were excellent. We hope to return to KhemKhong Guesthouse soon!

Delightful place”

The guesthouse is situated across from the Mekong and their restaurant, where guests receive a 20% discount. The rooms are a little small, but well appointed, with comfy beds, a good shower and efficient air-con. But the nicest thing is Monsieur Eric and his staff (and cats) who were very welcoming and helpful.

We had a great three days in Staying here and eating at the restaurant, Eric is such a great host and really helpful, we hired a scooter and he arranged our Tok Tok back to the airport, I would highly recommend staying here, such a perfect location and a pretty little town on the Mekong

Great Base Camp in Luang Prabang”

Nice location by the Mekong River and a 10+ minute walk to the Night Market. Eric (Manager) is super and a great resource to assist with tours, transportation and restaurant recommendations. I stayed twice and would definitely return.

Good location! walking distance to nearby attractions. bus tickets and tours can also be easily booked thru them. Eric was very friendly and helpful during our stay. definitely a recommended place to stay in LPB.

Lovely hotel on the riverside”

I had the room on the front side with the balcony and the view on the river , luxery double. And it was luxery indeed , great view, middle of town , and a good restaurant on the riverfront.

Coming home ”

This is one of those places where you feel like you’re coming home. Super friendly staff, always helpful with a smile, and a million dollar view over the Mekong River. Can’t ask for more.

Awesome location, clean room”

This guesthouse has an awesome location, right along the Mekong River, close to restaurants and the night market. We enjoyed being so close to many things in town! The owner was very kind, and answered all the questions we had, and was very welcoming and accommodating. The room was small, which I noticed was typical for rooms closer to town. However, for me to feel rested, I’d prefer a bigger room. But other than that, the room was clean, comfortable beds, had great AC, was quiet at night, hot water for showers. One (small) negative experience was when we came back to the guesthouse at 10pm and the staff who was the night guard was getting ready to go to sleep in the lobby...The lights were already turned off when we entered and the staff person didn’t greet us and looked annoyed that we came back that late, as he was getting ready for bed. Maybe my read on the situation was wrong, but it would be nice to not walk into a dark lobby and feel like we were invading his space.

Perfect spot”

Perfect time spent at this quiet establishment. Very helpful and accommodating. Arranged for trip to kuangsi falls with many helpful tips. Great lil restaurant by the river.

Great location, reasonable price”

Great location by the Mekong river & near temples and cultural sites. It is reasonably priced and has a friendly helpful French manager. Small rooms but comfortable enough. Nice, riverside restaurant too. If you want big rooms, luxury and pampering perhaps not for you. For everyone else, highly recommended!

Fantastic”

Eric is fantastic and would suggest booking through him. I was on trip at a fraction of the price when speaking to people from other hotels. Location is fab you can walk 2 minutes to aims giving (don’t have to get up soo early) you come out turn right then first right again it’s a side street so not busy. Near palace museum as well. The restaurant was a great spot to sit and watch the sunset and you also get a discount. The only thing I could say as a negative but really it is personal preference is the mattress was very very hard.
