Great experience ”
It is historical hotel and the bed is very big and comfortable can suits 4 people to stay. The hotel location is very good, the nearby parking is not free. However there are 2 safety issue need to get attention by hotel, first is the metal at the room door is sharpe which cut one of my Guest’s finger. Cause the door is heavy, she used one hand hold the handrail, the other hand push the door and happened to touch the sharpe letter M at the door. The other issue is bathtub is slippery even I put the non-slip mat, I was fell over in the bathtub and my left knee is in blue now. But no big injury, just give a reminder to hotel attention to it

Currently under renovation, so entrance and lifts hard to navigate. Room was small but perfectly equiped, some gorgeous high end furnishings. Excellent continental breakfast included served in restaurant. Look forward to seeing the hotel when its renovations completed.

Lovely but small”
Great spot, Great staff, clean and well presented. Room was very small. My husband and I struggled to walk past each other and had to take turns dressing. If you like your cup of Tea or Coffee in a decent sized cup Bring your own. TV was a great size even if you have to sit on the bed to watch it, and the Bathroom was lovely with a great rain shower head. If you have a car with you it is on street parking unless you want to pay $30 for Valet parking. So overall nice place but watch the hidden costs.

Great Location, Tricky to get a park”
Great hotel, very affordable, currently being renovated but beautiful historic building, close to city centre and museum. No free parking, but some limited paid parking around the corner.

My little room was one of the attics and it was charming. However the elevator was so noisy, it’s the original. Half the hotel is being refurbished so only 22 rooms available. It will be great when it’s completed.

Accomodation was all you needed. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Location was perfect. Good value for money.

Stayed here before and liked it small room But comfortable and clean this time we stayed in room 712 which is right next to the motor for the old elevator which keeps You awake all night

The room was very tidy and warm when we arrived. The seating in the small lounge was not comfortable and the tv could be on a lower table to make viewing easier. The lounge area could be set up differently to make it more inviting. The bathroom was tidy but the mould on the sealant and parts of the shower wall was concerning. Overall the room was ok.

Even though we had a special rate we didn’t expect our room to be no bigger than an attic. ”
We were on the top floor right by the lift so every time it was used we heard it rattle. We have stayed here often and this was the worse experience which is really disappointing but maybe that’s what you get with the special room rate we got, however our son and partner had the room beside and it was twice the size for same price??

Our rooms only two windows were so high up, you couldn't see a thing, it really felt like being in a cell! The breakfast room had zero windows and was super hot! The staff were lovely though and the breakfast bacon was delicious!

Very strategic located, it quite near to walk to the tourism spot in the area, the room is nice, the breakfast is okay.

An excellent location for Dunedin central visits. The hotel is a bit quirky but very clean with attentive staff.
