I stayed at this resort for 7 days and had a happy time. Located at the southernmost tip of the Maldives, Addu Atoll is connected by a bridge to three small islands. On this island you can understand the local culture of the Maldives and it is also suitable for scuba diving. 1. Accommodation This hotel is a small accommodation with only 7 rooms. All 7 rooms have the same shape and view. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough for a couple. Cleaning is done every day and every day, and the sundeck and other places in the garden are always kept in a clean condition. Since it is an island and a very dry area, there may be mosquitoes and ants, but the room is perfectly protected from mosquitoes and ants. 2. Surrounding environment The resort is on the west coast of the island. The scenery here is serene and peaceful. Being able to see the beautiful sunset every day is the biggest advantage of this resort. I've been to Equatorial Village, a larger resort on the east side of the island, a few times, and the east side of the island is always exposed to the wind. However, this place is completely protected from the wind. Just in front of the resort is Robinsons Island within walking distance and on the other side of Robinsons Island you will see the horizon of the Indian Ocean. The only downside to this resort is that the beach right in front is shallow and not suitable for swimming as it is not sandy. 3. Restaurant and food The restaurant at this resort is a local favorite. In the evening, many Maldivians always come to this resort for a meal. The menu is varied, from Western dishes such as pizza and hamburgers to Asian dishes such as nashi goreng and tandoori. The quality of the food is the best on the whole island and the service is excellent. The food comes out a bit late, but if you ever visit another restaurant on the island, you will feel that this restaurant serves the food really quickly. Brilliant stay - cant wait to return!”
We spent 2 weeks at Wave Sound and loved our stay! The hotel is small (7 rooms) but it is far more personal than going to a larger resort. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly - no request was too big! Rooms were spacious and very clean - serviced twice a day. You have your own 2 sun loungers outside you room, as well as a dining area if you dont want to eat in the restaurant. They helped with our trip from start to finish - booked our internal flights for a very good price compared to online (pay via Western Union), helped book our Covid tests (come test at the hotel directly $100pp), airport transfers were efficient and professional and on time! It made travelling very easy which we really appreciated as during Covid times it can get a bit complicated! Would highly recommend staying at Wave Sound! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great place to stay”
Wave Sound has a great location directly on the beach, absolutely clean and nice. It is ideal for independent traveler, it is a optimal base to see the real life of Maldivian people. The hotel manager Mohamed, receptionist Farih and all other staff are very helpful to solve any potential question. There is a nice selection of local tours (snorkeling, fishing, etc.) at very reasonable pricing compared to those organized by tourist resorts. It definitely makes sense to rent bicycles or scooters to see all 5 connected islands. We would absolutely recommend this place to everyone coming to Addu Atol.

the nicest hotel in ADDU in my opinion, small, intimate, sweet. Only a few rooms located above the blue beach and the lagoon, you can hear the open sea from a distance. Fantastic for both lovers and families with young children. It offers many attractions, including bikes, diving and snorkeling trips, as well as a romantic dinner right on the beach. Sitting in a hammock in the water or having breakfast, we watched many stig rays passing by every day. Special greetings for manager Mohamed and staff Farih, Lateef and Shepon of the hotel. 3S owns also a restaurant (good food!) and diving center. Katarzyna

Amaing, incredible place. We had the most relaxing holiday ever. Staff is great too. Also if you wish feel the rhythm of Maldivvian life - this is the place . Here you are not stranded on a couple of yards atoll and you have to relay on the hotel for everything. Here you can go out and explore Addu city, which is the second largest city in the Maldives, though it is far quieter than the capital. Also the place has 7 rooms only, so it is never crowded. it is intimate and cosy

We stayed 5 nights with my wife. The staff is really nice, getting you all you need during yout stay. If high tide you can snorkel i front of the hotel. Rooms very clean, food is ok but often we preferred to eat launch to the 3S Launge.

There are no cons for this property the more I say it's still less. What a service n hospitality. Thanks to Mr shariff the owner n Mr saeed manager n his team as I remember some names like latif n fayshid n seophan.. all of u all are just awesome. Thanks for a 5 star service n a 5 star accommodation. I would highly recommend this property to everyone who read this review.

This hotel is highly recommended for anyone. the key thing about this hotel is the service. The manager Saeed and the staff have a big customer-centered service. you feel like a king when you are in the hotel. their service that good. The cleanliness is superb. The food is brilliant and its quite cheap which will not bother your pocket much. if you are visiting Gan, this is a place not to miss. Great location, overlooking a lagoon and island then the ocean. This is a small bit of heaven on earth.

Quiet paradise where everything is easy”
All the activities, snorkelling, dolphin watching, diving etc are arranged through the resort. You are then picked up from your room, and everything is done for you and the bill is settled before you go. Everything is easy, excellent service and attentive staff. Like a Holiday should be. The location sells itself, absolutely stunning. Walking across to the island from the beach just outside your room door is something I can’t imagine is possible anywhere on the planet

Best hostel, more like a resort”
I stayed in the place for 4 nights after a tiring dive holiday. Happily upgrade to full boarding. I will highly recommend everyone to upgrade, with full boarding, all snorkeling equipment and bike hire will be free. What a deal. The place is clean and quiet, has its own private beach allow bikini, close to everything if you have a bike. When we stay in the place, Addu city mayor came to have dinner. he had the same buffet with us from the full boarding restaurant If I even go back to Gan island, I will definitely stay here again .

Quiet and friendly overlooking the water”
Great location overlooking the water with western sunset views. The shallow reef just in front of the hotel is only good for snorkelling at high tide. Very friendly staff. Onsite restaurant has good food selection and you can walk or cycle to other local cafes (or taxi to the next island). Small but clean, convenient and affordable. We would come back.
