If you're going to Sado Island, try to find a pension or resort close to the coast. This is in the center of the island but served the purpose I needed.

Very clean and modern room”
I stayed for one night, and it was a comfortable experience. The staff were very friendly and ready to help you with any information (eg food recommendations) you need. It is also a stone’s throw away from the Kanai bus stop, which is 20 minutes away from Ryotsu Port and/or Aikawa (Sado Gold Mine) via the Honsen Line (1). Very convenient, with many food options around as well. Highly recommended!

A very new, modern and conveniently located hotel.”
Very conveniently located in central Sado, the whole island can be easily explored from this very new hotel. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel itself and locally there are good cafes, restaurants, a convenience store and supermarket just a very short walk away. The main out-of-town shopping road is just a short drive away too. So, what this hotel lacks in charm, character and lack of an ocean view, it makes us for in being a modern and super-convenient place to explore from.

Sado island has deep history so that is why we have a lot of traditional such as Noh , Ondenko, beautiful shrine and temple. Just what we needed”
The room was inexpensive, and while small, it was more than big enough for our needs. It felt like it had just been built. The air con was invaluable, as was the free parking. It is located in the centre of the island and so was convenient. The restaurant was incredibily accommodating and reasonably priced. We would stay there again and recommend to anyone.

It is new and nice. You can find it easily beside the big hospital. There is a mart opposite to keep you fed if needed. Good food around the hotel too.

車（レンタカー）が有れば立地は問題なし”
新潟市から上越市（航路を含め）を結ぶ珍しい佐渡市唯一？の国道350号線付近にあります。 両津港から15分の場所にあり、島自体は大きいわけではないので、このホテルを拠点にすると30分〜40分くらいで、佐渡金山、宿根木集落、たらい舟（宿根木、矢島・経島）、西三川ゴールドパーク（砂金掘り体験など）に行ける範囲です。 近くには、トキの森公園で国の特別天然記念物『とき』を間近で見られますし、意外に知られていない温泉の宝庫？なので、日帰り温泉もあるので楽しめるのではないでしょうか。 ホテル近くには、徒歩圏内でスーパーや食事処などがありますが、ホテル1階にはレストランがあり、『佐渡天然ブリかつ丼』の公認3店舗のうちの１つなので、食べてみるのも面白いかもしれません。 ホテルは新しく、設備も最新のものが多く取り入れられていて、大浴場やコインランドリーなどの混雑状況を部屋のテレビから確認できるので、どのタイミングで行けば良いのかが一目瞭然でした。 大浴場は海洋深層水を使った天然の沸かし風呂で、これまたポイントアップの１つだと言えます。 ホテルの方も親切丁寧な対応で感じは良かったので、気持ち良く過ごせました。 唯一の弱点をあげるとしたら、内陸部にあるので海の景色は望めないことでしょうか。

3周年の日に宿泊、佐渡自体がトライアスロンやロードレースに理解がありこの宿もロードバイクで伺うと別場所ではあるがバイクラックの置かれていり駐輪場所(屋内)が用意されていた。立ち入りは必ずスタッフの方と一緒なので開閉はスタッフも方が行う。とても安心できた。アメニティーも十分。お風呂も静かでChilloutが流れていてとてもリラックスできた。洗濯できるが台数が少なく取り合いになりがち。部屋番号をホワイトボードに記入して予約できるが、時間になって向かうと知らない人が横入りしそうになってて油断できなかった。レース当日はどうなのか気になるところ。宿の方が外食の場所を紹介してくれるしとても親身。
