Best value for money, location, cleanliness and food”
It has free shuttle bus to/from hotel - Biei/Asahikawa Station. And also to/from Blue Pond. Shiregano Waterfall just nearby the hotel, only about 1-2 minutes walking distance. We booked a room package with Kaiseki Dinner and Breakfast. And it's so delicious. Perfect dinner and breakfast! Friendly staff and it has Onsen and Japanesse style room. The Japanesse style room is perfect! We can see the Shiregano Waterfall's Bridge from our room. Definetely will stay here again if we visit Biei next time.

Great place for onsen (hot spring) but with a little old facility”
Great place for onsen (hot spring) but with a little old facility, the hot spring is very nice and relaxing. Went here in early Feb and the snow is really beautiful. Good breakfast and if you want to have dinner, remember to call and inform them before 3pm, otherwise they WILL not accept your request. ￥4000++ for one person, but we did not tried it for ourselves. Aoi pond nearby is closed until March 2019, so BUMP.

Awesome meal and onsen”
Superb indoor and outdoor onsen and good meal (dinner set is comes in satisfactory portion and buffet breakfast with choices of western style and local delicacies). Cons: Visible wear off of furniture, and heater-in-room can be auto-off at 4am. Side note: I wasn't sure if the tap water is consumable, so I get the refill from the water dispenser in the onsen changing room.

Traditional hotel but great location ”
Hotel is a bit dated but we wanted to see the blue pond and the fall, so this hotel offers a great location. It’s about a 5 minute drive to the blue pond and 5 minute walk to the fall. Room was big and clean, bathroom is tiny airplane size, as they expect you to take shower at the onsen facility. The onsen facility is simple but clean. Outdoor onsen is lovely. We feel very comfortable with our stay. We didn’t have dinner but had the breakfast. It’s also traditional jap style which I like but hubby finds the selection limiting as he likes western. With these hotels I find that staffs are very welcoming and friendly, as long as you stick to their policies. The are usually not flexible and have rigid policies, so if you plan ahead and don’t ask them to change things last minute, the stay is usually very pleasant.

Relaxing place ”
Our room is basically traditional Japanese tatami style room. I'm like it so much. We are simply enjoyed the winter time with slide off the window in the room & seeing the white snowing outside. Hotel staff is helpful to brought our luggage to room. There is a shuttle service to pick us to see the night view of the lake nearby by hotel with FOC. Own vehicle park with free as well. So enjoyed to stay in this hotel. You may try out the home make food especially Ramen in the restaurant just cross the road beside this hotel.

Highly recommend for those who want to visit Shirahige Waterfall”
Pros: 2-3min to Shirahige Waterfall by walk. You can go to Blue Pond by walk for about 35-40min as well. They have a hot spring facility inside&outside, although you have to pay extra charge 150yen(regardless you use it or not, but it’s worth to use it. So go get it..!) Breakfast was quite good. There is a lounge bar and they sell some dinner menu. We tried ramen and it tastes good. Staffs are nice. They made a bed for us. Cons: The room was quite cold and no hitting system at all, so we had to use extra blanket at night. The hotel is quite old, but actually it didn’t matter for us as it felt cozy. It’s quite far from Biei station and there is not much transportation to use. However, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus from biei station. And there is also a few local buses a day. At the last day of staying, we missed the local bus so we asked the front desk staff to book a taxi for us. Thank you very much for the help..!

Location is a bit far, but is worth it as the outdoor Onsen is fantastic. You need to pre-book dinner. Otherwise, you might have to drive to the nearest town for dinner as there is no restaurant open after 7pm nearby.

Nice dinner and breakfast! Worth the money”
Pleasant stay with nice breakfast and dinner. U need to inform them what time (few timings to choose, 6pm, 6:30pm or 7pm) u want to have dinner. It has indoor and outdoor onsen, but i think the water was abit hot.. Rooms are spacious and this hotel has a mini entertainment area with those claw-toy machine where my hb managed to grab one cute hamster soft toy! Location wise: it’s near blue pond and the waterfall.. overall i think this hotel is good compare those hotel at Lake toya..

Facilities, staff and service was great, would definitely stay again! Remember to book your dinner cause they don't serve you anything if you don't book in advance. There's no extra/ additional dinner sets that you can buy. Luckily there was a homely ramen shop opposite that serve some food so we manage to have a very simple dinner. But would definitely recommend to order dinner at the onsen place. Oh, and car park is free.

Old building at remote area”
Hotel located at a kinda remote area (we traveled during winter time, solely rely on public transport only) but the hotel provide shuttle service, so going to the hotel wasn't too big of an issue. There are indoor and outdoor Onsen available, but the facility is kinda old (there is leaking from the ceiling and the tile looks kinda... moldy?). But the staff was very friendly, and they provide free shuttle service to Blue Pond (definitely a big plus!)

Everything was excellent, except for...”
Everything was brilliant about my stay - the Japanese styled room, the onsen, the Kaiseki meals!! And really appreciate the night trip to 清池 the blue pond that was included in the payment... but unfortunately the bathroom in my bedroom stank really badly (I stayed on the annex side). Apart from this, everything else was perfect.
