Very convenient and nice hotel ”
We stayed here 3 days with our kids to enjoy ski. Staff are helpful, the location of hotel is 3-5 min. walking distance to cable station, there are ski rental shop and Lawson nearby the hotel. The hotel provided dinner and breakfast in a package with competitive price . The outdoor onsen is very nice with beautiful snow view. There is free parking provided. The hotel is not very new but they keep it tidy. I highly recommend Hotel Lucent if you would like to ski with a very competitive price.

Lovely”
This was a lovely property with an amazing view of the mountain. Breakfast was fantastic as was the onsen! The only negative aspect of my trip was there was no where to eat for dinner, the hotel restaurant was not open and neither were any other local establishments. I imagine that this was 100% due to Covid, it is what it is, Lawson's was stocked and perfectly fine.

location is perfect. Very close to ski lift and convenient store. Staff are very helpful and nice. food at dinner is delicious (esp with beef at one night) breakfast is just ok. The only weakness is that the ski room (dry room) is too small

Great hotel and great location”
If you are going to Zao Onsen for ski or snowboard, you have to know that all the hotels here are not ski-in and ski-out. So book a hotel with a good location is very important. Takamiya Hotel Lucent is just in front of the central ropeway center, very easy to go up to the mountain. Many of my friends they all recommend Takamiya Hotel Lucent, because of its friendly and helpful staffs, also its great and clean environments. And of course, I love their outdoor onsen (hotspring). Next time, I will still stay here :)

Great hotel in a great location. It is directly opposite the Chuo ropeway. But walking to the Zao Sanroku Ropeway to see the Zao Monster is only about 8minutes to the right. Unodai ropeway is 8minutes to your left. Breakfast n dinner at the hotel is at best decent. Public onsen is great though,.

Best location for Skier”
Simply locate across the street of cable car station, and there's a convention store Lawson 1 min walk. Hotel provide pick up/drop off service from bus station. The dinner is delicate and delicious, with traditional Japanese food and seasonal ingredient; breakfast in buffet type, and provide both Japanese and western food. Stuffs are kind and polite, communicate well in English.

Wrong dinner arrangement”
My husband told the hotel to arrange 1 non-beef dinner and beef dinner for the other 3 people. But the hotel staffs' English was not good and arranged all pork dinner for my family. My family loves to eat Japanese beef which was very disappointed.

So dirty. Terrible experience ”
The room was very dirty. The bed sheet stained. The stain colour is close to red wine, or this was blood after drying? And I discovered they did not cleaned up my room and replaced a new towel. The towel still wet when I back to hotel at 6pm!! Hair still on the floor and not everyday to clean toilets. Toilet is so small and with bad smell. This was my worst experience to stay in Japan hotel and I am not recommended If you still decide to stay in this hotel, please don’t use their ski rental. The equipments was old with bad conditions. Go to rental shop near the rope. Just need pay more ¥200 but the conditions are great.
