I’ve stayed in numerous resorts in the Philippines on multiple visits and this was truly one of the best. Very very clean, the location was absolutely beautiful, but the best part was the staff of the resort. They were all so responsive and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed. If I could have given the staff SIX stars, I definitely would have. You cannot go wrong with this quirky beauty of a resort. I will absolutely go back on a future trip to PH.

Cool and unique”
We stayed for 1 night in the Rockadelic Room and it was super cool! Great Kiss band photos and we thought that the ceiling guitars were a nice touch. Excellent A/C and tons of hot water in the shower. Soap and body wash were provided. Our only complaints were that the room safe didn't work and the wifi was weak. Staff member Kim was helpful and accommodating. Incredible sunset views from the resort beach chairs. We met the owner Kathy on our checkout day and she was very friendly. TIP: buy your beer at the onsite store as they only charge 60 pesos, while neighboring resorts with bars charge at least 80 pesos. Takatuka also accepts Visa credit cards (bonus!)

Great place to lay low if you’re looking for a quiet place that’s not so mainstream but has the best beach. The only thing that could be better is if they had a fully operational resto. They serve snacks and drinks, still. The staff is responsive, too.

The beach and the hotel are tops. Everything is whimsically decorated. The rooms are large. The aircon, hot water and wifi all worked. My american network phone only had reception outside tough. The restaurant was great too, with quality cuisine at reasonable prices. The hotel's only drawback is also its greatest strength. It is cut off by a tidal basin and you need to arrange boat transportation to get in and out (at US$6 per trip) . At night this can be problematic and I lost one prepaid night because my flight got in very very late. The upside, is that the beach is all but private and I never counted more than 4 or 5 other people on this wonderful pristine beach.

our stay was exceptional. restaurant was closed but next door on the beach was an excellent restaurant. The staff were really good and I would stay again, but is pricey for me. The facilities and staff do justify the price.

Fun, whimsical resort!”
The creativity that went into building their rooms is amazing. Beautiful beach, friendly owners, though the restaurant is closed during Covid, there's excellent food just next door. Highly recommended for a fun stay at this treasure of a fine sand beach and quiet, peaceful island!

The area of beach on which the resort is situated was practically deserted. We arrived at 18:00. Nobody answered the door bell. We wandered inside and found reception, empty. We found the owner at a table in front of the beach, there were no facilities for food or drink after 18:00. We walked in low light along a path to a restaurant, where we were the only guest. Choice of food was very limited because they had no guests over the period before our arrival and the restaurant was not stocking up as a result. Perhaps, the problems stemmed from a bad season, where people just were not visiting the resorts there?

We suggest that you stay with us a little longer next time so that you can enjoy our paradisiac beach which you didn't have time to visit during your last stay, as you arrived late and left early the next morning. Our rainy season is from June - November, you therefore might want to schedule your visit during dry months to be sure not to be the only guests at the beach. Furthermore, our walkways are well-lit in the night and the nearest neighobring restaurant is only 2 meters away from us. They have a good choice of local and Italian dishes and are usually well stocked up. Kind regards and stay safe always.

Arrived early. 12.15. Early check in not a problem. All staff very helpful. Had a great 3 hr snorkeling trip. Coral reefs and ship wreck. Sea view room great. Meals on the balcony. Great food. Nice sand beach for swimming. Would be the best place to stay in Sipalay. Best to have your own transport as is out of town then boat ride to hotel. Good safe carpark. Would recommend and am going to go back.
