Nice private onsen with sea view, good breakfast.”
It is within walking distance from the Beppu train station, close to convenient/department store. We enjoyed both private (free 1 time/day) and public onsens, which were great experience for us. The breakfast was in a private room and there were many choices. We recommended this hotel to friends who are going to visit Kyushu soon. This is a good choice and reasonable price hotel.

good location and great onsen”
The hotel was located seaside and a minute away from the beach. The staff was also helpful and stored my baggage while i roamed around the city. Room is spacious and of great value (i booked mine with a big discount thanks to agoda). breakfast served which is a traditional japaense breakfast was pretty nice but it would have been better if a western buffet option was offered. Japanese breakfast might be considered too light for those used to big breakfast meals like myself. All night Onsen was also a nice touch too as I was able to use it before going to sleep and before checking out in the morning.

Dinner is nice”
There are small shopping mall and supermarket which is only 5 mins walk from the hotel, very convenient. Our room has a foot onsen at the balcony with ocean view which is highly recommended. Dinner is a big feast with fresh seafood and wagyu. Overall, it’s a pleasant stay there

Artisanal food & nice hot spas”
What's hot: spas are great. Some rooms have private hot spa tubs on the balcony overlooking the sea - simply superb. The staff are generally very polite like they all are in Japan. Limited English is spoken but some staff are better than others at English. All instructions in the hotel are largely in Japanese - no respite for the English speakers - from toilet seat operations to TV controls, there is absolutely no English. The food is great too. The effort in design & pairings, from the Keiseki dinners to the elaborate breakfasts, kudos to the chef. Between the food & spas, it makes it all worth while. Car parking outside the hotel is usually adequate, but can be difficult on weekends when more locals check in for the spas & during the holidays. The rooms are pretty average in layout & design- practical, staid, but meticulously clean & due to recent renovations, well maintained. What's not: English speakers will struggle. Tardy response to emails can leave one rather miffed. The price of rooms during peak periods border on ridiculous so choose the timing of your stay wisely or value proposition is not there, even if you include for the excellent dinner & breakfasts catered in the hotel. Unless you're a die hard repeat visitor that is.

Very good”
Right next to the beach and can get good views of Beppu Bay. Staff were very good and helpful. If you are vegetarian, check what you eat for breakfast. They declined the my vegetarian diner request but my wife had her Japanese dinner at the hotel and she said it was very good. Private onsen was awesome. We booked a deluxe Japanese room. This comes with good view of the Beppu Bay from the balcony and has a good hot water soak when enjoying the view

Good”
We booked a non-smoking room but still we can smell strong smoke in our room and we were informed that the hotel was fully booked so we could not change the room. As this hotel is located near the beach, we expected to have access to the beach for walking to the sea but there was construction both front and back of the hotel so no access to the beach near the hotel. We could not see the beach at all during our stay. The hotel lobby is nice and clean with plenty of parking space. The private onsen costs 1000 yen. Breakfast is good.

Thank you for superb Ryokan experience”
It was my first experience in Ryokan and it's turn out very impressive in Seikaiso. It is better than I expected that other comment are say this hotel is dated but I found myself this hotel clean and look like it has been renovated. What I like the most is rooftop private onsen that you may soaked yourself in a warm water whilst overlook toward ocean, what's a great experience a hotel can offer!. Dinner and breakfast come in a full course more than 10 dished of from Sashimi to A5 beef as well as breakfast. Staff is nice and service mind although little english spoken we'll find a way to communicate and get what you want. Room is very clean and decorated in traditional japan style futon and mattress also comfy though city view can see a Beppu tower from a window, Overall recommended this hotel for people who wish to stay at Beppu.
