Recently updated hotel met our expectations ”

Nice, upscale and quaint hotel located near the center of downtown Lakeland. Valet parking (optional), friendly front desk and clean premises overall. Nice front porch to relax in the evening and enjoy the views of Lake Mirror directly across the street. The hotel restaurant is good for casual dining, appetizers or a cocktail with an attentive wait staff but there are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity that are top notch and worth trying, such as Harry’s.

The hotel was beautiful. In an awesome location. Walking distance to everything downtown Lakeland. One complaint was there was no hot water the entire stay. When I asked the front desk about it, all they said was “it’s an old building”. I feel like that’s not the best response to give someone especially when it’s not a cheap hotel.

We were woke up at 5:30 AM to a fire alarm and we were evacuated from the hotel. We never got an explanation or a note from front desk. Not a sorry for the inconvenience. Nothing!!! The lobby smells like if there is a gas leak . We stayed 4 nights and it always smelled like Gas. The only great person there was our server from their restaurant, Can’t remember his name. He mentioned that he was from La Perla Puerto Rico. He was great!!!
