This hotel was amazing. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. Our room was perfect. Clean. The futons were kind of comfortable. Our onsen inside our room was the highlight of our trip. The view from our balcony was amazing. We cant wait to come back again.

Excellent hot spring, very grand house and private hotspring, with wide and romantic view from the room and private terrance, very big lobby and interior design is perfect. it is locate mid of hillside, self driving access only though it will be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive at night

Quiet and comfortable, with private onsen”
Wasn’t as difficult to find by car because GPS had really clear instructions. It is quiet, atop a hill and has great views, and the kaiseki breakfasts and dinner were good quality. Loved the in-room onsen which was large enough to fit 2 people. The shared onsen is only about 3-4 times bigger it felt. Random perk was that their TV allowed screen mirroring which was great for us to project shows onto the tv from our phones (including for iphones!) Service overall was very good and accommodating. Would recommend this place to those who want some peace and quiet and a nice comfortable and private place to retreat. Wished it had a little corner with warm drinks that people could just veg out at for that little extra touch that costs them next to nothing; like our favourite Hoshinoya resorts, but perhaps I’m asking for too much!

Lovely place with great staff”
Had a great stay here. Room was well designed and the bath was excellent. Included casual kaiseki dinner was good quality and drinks prices were very reasonable. Breakfast very nice. The whole place was spotless and the staff were very friendly, especially Maria-san, who looked after us with her excellent English. Would stay there again.

it is very quiet hotel located up in the mountain. we have rent a car so the transpotation is not a problem for us. Better to get 2nd-floor room as the view is much more better than 1st floor. （the public onsen's roof will block the view of room 101 and 102!! ） Its public onsen is quite small so we just use the one inside our room. the hotel also provide Delicate food, very tasty！

This is my second time staying at terrace garden midoubaru. The staffs were so friendly and we enjoyed the food so much. The portions were the most generous among all onsen ryokan I stayed. Thank you so much and we will definitely come back next time.

Superb view of the city”
As it said, its not the easiest to find as its locate up on the mountain through a narrow road. But its worth it for the view. Room is spacious and onsen are in the room. We pre-order dinner separately and it was good. The only down side is the room is not very sound proofed. Lucky we had good neighbors so it didnt bother us.
