Perfect Location”
texicano hotel is the perfect hotel for backpackers and tourists. its location is strategically located to public transport terminals and shops. you can take a short walk from the hotel to laoag's provincial capitol. upon our arrival in the hotel, the room is not yet ready so we were advised to pass the time in their bahay kubo with free wifi. the hotel staff is very eager to assist us in our tour needs. i will definitely come back and stay in this hotel when i am in laoag.

This is my second time in this hotel. The location is perfect! Bus terminals are just a minute away. If you're on a budget, you can take the jeepney going to the airport, just look for Gabu Jeep Terminal along Balintawak street 3mins away from Texicano hotel. Its very close to the Provincial Capitol, you can just walk yourself to the landmarks of Laoag. WiFi Connection is also excellent. However, don't forget to apply insect repellent, mosquito bites!

Texicano Hotel is a good choice when arriving late at night from the Laoag airport. Since it's centrally located to everything, you will not get lost. For a one-night budget stay, it's very convenient even though the hotel is old and dated. Perfect for backpackers and transients.

Good for the pocket accommodation”
My family and I stayed overnight in Texicano on our way to Pagudpod. All in all, the hotel is ideal for a family because of the spacious rooms, even bigger than my condo unit in Manila! The Sinking Bell Tower, shopping areas, and restaurants are walking distance. It may not be as beautiful or as comfortable as other hotels, but with the low price, less than 1000 pesos for a room, one cannot ask for more. It is good for the budget.

Very Nice Location”
This may not be the best ..It may look old but somehow cozy. They gave us a bigger room. It may need a good refurbish since they have the greatest location. What do you expect form a budget hotel. We will definitely come back.. The hot shower was awesome.. for a budget hotel like Texicano. They service with a smile, easy to find food around. I like this place.

Texicano is located strategically as it is only a walking distance from the spots we picked out in our vacation itinerary. The personnel are very helpful and accommodating. Although the rooms are not that classy or huge, they are more than enough to serve their purpose.

Great Location”
it was quite far from the loaog airport but very near ilocos norte capitol, bus transports if you will decide to go to vigan and pagudpod. very cheap rate with good quality customer service. please don't expect five-star like room, you will just have the basic like tv, air-con, towels, bed and matress. one thing i love in this hotel are the staffs, they were very accommodating with all our needs. nice hotel with a very affordable rates.

Nice Hotel with strategic location”
It was nice and I really enjoyed the place. At first, I was hesitant to pre-book my hotel for the reason that we might have hard time to find the hotel considering that we are arriving very late at night but luckily it is located strategically so we were able to find the hotel with out to much effort and without spending to much time and money. It is remarkable that the toilet is so clean. The room is huge enough for a couple and there’s tourist spots nearby the hotel, so hassle free for travelers.

You Get What You Paid”
I stayed for two nights and while the room is in need of extra attention and maintenance, there's no doubt it's cheap. It's the best place for budget travellers. The location of the hotel to city centre is within few minutes of walking and close to all bus terminals. I made this place my base for my exploration up Ilocos Norte which most towns can be reached within two hours. For USD per night for a double bed room, what more can you ask for.

Perfect location, good price, correct service”
The staff of the hotel was helpful with everything we needed, although the best point of the place in my oppinion was the location, less than 5 minutes walk to the main square and 10 minutes away from the local airport. Whenever I go back to Laoag I'll repeat.

Not so superior”
as far as i know when u say "superior room" its above average..its more than u expect than the usual standard room but we are so disapointed that we dont have a choice to back out because we arrived so late..we took a night flight to laoag and from there a shuttle service dropped us to texicano..even on the first glimpse at their receiving area.. we already have a thought whats the room upstairs look like but were surprised..why? its much worst than we expected.. theres 3 bedroom, the one in the middle is directly towards the air conditioner.. they have this old cabinet with a very old mirror with this black spot around it that u cant see yourself clearly..they have this table which i think made from scrap woods..and they have this ugly trash can and door mat..ther bed sheets has some holes in it..and i found some hairs too.. and we felt some itchiness during our minutes of stay... then the toilet bowl is broken imagine has 2 holes in it.. the mirror above the sink was maybe 6 feet tall as if we will use it..its already blurry..but thanks god the heater is working and tissues are present.. and the worst thing is the noisy air conditioner and the ugly curtains..they are just showing best pictures..yeah maybe on the other side they have the new building but pls..dont let them offer that "superior disgusting rooms"..i was imagining what if some foreign tourist will visit them.. their recieving area was like a baggage counter in an old shop..the only good thing in this hotel is that its clean outside shiny old floors..but i wont recommend this even to those who are looking for cheap ones..the hotel should renovate their interiors..too bad their location is nice..if they will make some changes in there they will make good money.. even they are offering cheap price we are still deserving for good ones..maybe they should categorize that room as.. Good facilities for the price”
You get what you pay for. Understand that this is a budget hotel and you will be satisfied. The rooms are a little weathered, but for the price they are more than acceptable. The A/C and hot shower were both very good, and the location was excellent. The only bad thing was there was a really squeaky swing outside our window, which people would use at any time of night or day, which got irritating!

Deceiving photos”
Pros: Location is definitely a 5.0. It's smack in the center of Laoag. Cons: In their ad, it shows a new building but what they don't tell you is that the cheap rooms are in the old, creepy, haunted-house looking building. We tried to reason with the staff that we booked the place because of the photos online but they only told us that there's no vacant room in the new building so we're stuck with the old building. Good thing we're always exhausted every time we return to the hotel or else it would have been one helluva horror story.

Different from pictures in the web”
Would have been a disaster if not for the Hotel Managers intervention. We booked 5 rooms but were given only 3 rooms upon check-in. The manager instead gave us 2 rooms, 1 suite and 1 superior to accommodate 13 persons of us. Took it as we want the whole group to be in 1 location. The rooms in the extension buildings are okay. The standard rooms are not recommended as they are located in the old building that needs a total renovation.

It was nice and comfortable. Nothing very fancy or uber-luxurious. But for the price they are offering it was more than worth it. The Suite Room, despite initial skepticism a seasoned traveler might take, more than does justice to its name.

It grows on you”
On first impression this hotel seemed old and dilapidated.The Superior room we booked was old and shabby. However we booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 3. We suddenly started to see the charm of past times in it's now worn out grandeaur . If you want upmarket , high quality ,all singing , all dancing shiny ,sparkly accommodation then this is definitely not the place for you. If you can put up with just a clean and functional room then it's fine.The location was fantastic, the hotel had a really relaxed atmosphere, you could grab a drink and sit outside and use wifi( also free wifi in the room ).Despite it's outward appearance we really liked this place and would go there again. One thing a room on the front is better- it's a bit loud in the morning ( cocks crowing and trishaw drivers) but the rooms at the back overlook a small house that seemed to play loud music until all hours at the weekend.

Its relatively fine.Had easy access to the mall, church and other establishments. I stayed at the old building but its ok coz i choose the lowest rate. THe restaurant is good. The hotel manager is accomading and friendly. Overall its a good return of investment.

Disappointing! ”
I didn't expect that my stay in Texicano hotel will be a worst experience. I frequently travel for business trips and was used to book in city hotels such as this but it was really disappointing when I reached the hotel at past 9pm in the evening and saw the hotel facade rustic look. The staff are un attentive when I approached them and since it's quite late the best thing that I want to do is to get a room for me to rest. When I entered the room, the bed is unclean and the room has unpleasant odor. I had sleepless nights because The aircon is super noisy. The bathroom is untidy and you will see the dirt in the toilet rim and floor tiles. I really do not understand why Agoda is still promoting this kind of hotel in their website. So disgusting.
