W had such fun staying here and learning to dive with the Asia Divers team. I would fully recommend getting one of the sea view rooms, they're so cute and you're just that much closer to the beautiful water. I'd agree the rooms might feel a little dated, but we were really only sleeping in the room so it wasn't a problem for us. The bed was comfortable and the room had AC to combat the heat. If you are spending time in the room, rather than by the pool or on the beach or under the water, then there is a TV with a good selection of channels. There is also Wi-Fi available, which seems rare in the Philippines. The restaurant offers a good range of meals, though the portions are quite large, my one change would be to offer a "diver bites" menu with smaller portions for those who are about to go diving or between dives.

Great personalized experience”
It’s hard to imagine a better GM than Allison. She truly cares about her guests and creates an extremely personalized experience. Her creative, resourceful and efficient problem solving is what made my stay great. It’s not easy juggling divers with disparate skills and interests but she did so beautifully. El Galleon’s poolside economy rooms are simple but private and everything works. The fridge and kettle are a nice touch. The wifi was strong and consistent in the room and the restaurant was extremely accommodating with special requests. The setting is terrific - close enough to walk everywhere but far from the craziness of Sabang. Thanks again for a great stay.

Relaxing place”
A great place to stay, eat and relax. Our room had an excellent view of the sea. Food is great all the time. They have a great bar and great customer service. Value for your money.

If you're a diver or just wanting to try diving for the first time, this is the best place to stay. Excellent services, excellent food, excellent everything. I love the privacy of the beach and all the activities they offer.

Dive Puerta Galera”
El Galleon is a very good choice for scuba divers staying Sabang. The staff is awesome, the food is really good, facility is clean and well equipped and well managed... the owner obviously cares about his property. EG is situated close to the Asia Divers office and dock away for the congested part of Sabang... which is a real convenience. I go to PG for the diving... EG hotel is a really nice facility to launch from.

Fantastic stay”
We really enjoyed our stay at El Galleon. Since the pandemic it's been very hard to plan trips in the Philippines, with the regulations changing constantly. Allison went out of her way to assist us and really went the extra mile to ensure that our trip went as smoothly as possible. The room was immaculately clean and exceeded our expectations and the we enjoyed the resort-style pool, the facilities, and the proximity to all that Sabang has to offer. If you're planning a dive trip or a holiday in Puerto Galera, you can't go wrong with this resort!

A lovely stay in a lovely resort”
My wife and I aren't divers but we've stayed at El Galleon several times before and were not disappointed this time either. Like all resort hotels it's had a hard 2 years but now it's fully up and running again and just as enjoyable as ever. The seafront location in Small LaLaguna is great, the Point bar serves excellent cocktails, and the restaurant is also fine. Allison and Ashley helped a lot with our bookings, especially navigating our way through the various Covid related paperwork and apps that are still required for travelling.

A very pleasant resort”
My wife and I aren't divers but we enjoy the location and ambience of El Galleon. The staff are excellent, the rooms are clean and the food in the restaurant is good. I think it's also good value for money compared with the outrageous ( in my opinion ) prices of nearby dive resorts. We stayed in a room right at the top - 75 steps up but lovely views. We did, though, have to request a wi-fi booster for the room as the signal so far up was non existent - the booster was quickly provided and did its job.

Staff receptionist seriously does not know the departure time for the ferry back to Batangas, as we left early and it was the wrong time. A huge hassle getting to Sabang as the port was closed. Terrible infrastructure. Food...nothing to write home about. Average stay, would stay elsewhere next time.

Very helpful staff from desk to kitchen to dive shop (if needed). These guys and girls have been doing this a long time. The beds are clean and comfy, rooms are not new although the food and atmosphere more than make up for that. Repairs seem to be happening always, naturally

The rooms are a bit dated compared to newer resorts but the staff were wonderful and the restaurant was very, very good. They make a great Long Island Iced Tea also.

Wonderful Christmas get-a-way!”
We had a great stay at El Galleon! The water taxi delivered us straight to Asia Divers dock, so we were pretty much right at our resort. We were given a review talk of the hotel's amenities (and rules like pool hours) while sipping on our welcome drinks. Our room was ready even though we arrived at 11:00am (early). They knew who we were before we got there, and check in literally took like one minute. They helped take the worry out of crossing the water on a crowded ferry and arranged for our passage on a water taxi. Everything was taken care of, with professionalism and courtesy. The room was nice, although at the top of the hill so there was a lot of stairs to climb. Lots of rooms are on lower levels of the hill; perhaps we just got the last room? Staff were very nice, as were the other guests staying there too!

The staff were accommodating and nice. The resort was clean; however, there was a sewer smell in the rooms we occupied. Great diving experience and staff customer service. The food was on a pricey side. The area is more for diving and had some construction just before the hotel.

I wasn’t sure about the place when I booked but it was a great choice. I loved the staff, they were all so helpful and friendly.; a special thanks to Ethelle. I was there for the staff Christmas party and was thrilled to be included, what a blast. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably have stayed longer. Thank you Asia Divers and El Galleon.

Budget room needs work.”
I stayed in a budget room for a couple of nights and it needs work. There are gaps in the floor and walls allowing centipede, bugs, and mosquitoes to come into the room which I hate. Staff are friendly and food was great. Must try the french toast for breakfast.

Seaview room”
The hotel was nice and simple. No phone to call downstairs and on front desk in the room. TV didn't have cable.. So could not watch anything as regular channels didn't have an antenna. The hard part was walking up three flights of stairs to my room with luggage. If I knew that I would of booked a different room.

Good location / Older Hotel”
Centrally located, but older hotel that could use some maintenance. Over all good for Sabang area. I had a bit of an issue with bangka and taxi back and forth to Manila, make sure they understand your needs.

The transport is a little headache during typhoon season and expensive . It is good value for the price. The restaurant is very good for its price.
