The accommodations are very clean and new, the bar is very nice with an exceptional view of the bay. The staff are very welcoming and always at your service. We were in an apartment with two bedrooms as a family it's really ideal.

Room was very clean as might be expected from 2 year old hotel. Biggest complaint was the poor wifi but John, the owner was responsive in trying to fix the issue but not much could be done about it. Room lacked certain basics that you would expect from a good hotel. No blackout curtains meant that sleeping later than the rising sun was problematic. As others mentioned, property is still under construction but no construction work was underway while I was there. But lots of barking dogs if noise bothers you. Food at the restaurant was average at best although I didn't try the German cuisine which since the owner is German, might be better. I had the spaghetti which was very watery and VERY SALTY. My wife had Filipino dish and she also said that hers was overly salty as well. Might just be the chef's issue. This is not a tourist hotel though as it is not close to White Beach. Good for divers since close to Sabang beach. Trikes will eat you alive going to tourist beaches.

Brand new and fine overall with a few shortcomings”

Was welcomed by a welcome drink (some kind of "orange" juice) and was authorised to check-in early (at noon when the check-in time is actually 1pm). A good start. Then reality started to settle in: Property not yet finished but it was NOT under construction during my stay (construction seems to be halted); Sea is easily accessible (less than a 5 minute walk) but you cannot swim (not clean and jellyfish) so you have to go to Sabang (Lalaguna) and it is more than a 20-minute walk; I also did not like the fact is minibar is overstuffed with minibar drinks (becomes useless): COIN OPERATED VENDING MACHINES WHICH ALSO CAN DISPENSE DRINKING WATER AND ICE would have been sufficient. I did not find the idea of a split-level swimming pool "brillant", I wish for a bigger pool on ONE level. Restaurant is fine and reasonably priced, I recommend the veggie pizza (but not necessarily the burgers). Included breakfast is also fine (veggie omelette was best for me including good brewed coffee).

Nice resort with good value ”

The resort is located between white beach and Sabang beach, perfect for travelers who are looking for a quiet place with good view from the rooms and the dining place. Our room was always kept very clean and the staff were always friendly to us. Although we didn't have a chance to use their scuba diving service, but if you are looking for direct assistance, they also got it covered. We also enjoyed the food a lot! Since the owner is from Germany, don't forget to try some of the German dishes! Motorcycle rental is also cheaper the shops, recommend to get the bikes from them too. Overall, very pleasant stay at Jalyns Resort with their prices. Thank you guys again!

Nice hotel that can be developed”

Big rooms and modern standard. The hotel is only two years old and construction of new rooms is still ongoing. Unfortunately it is partly still a construction area. Best advantages is the very nice pool area. Rooms are big and nice, but no extras, for example no decorations on walls, no kitchen furniture. No kitchen utensilies when we arrived. Had to underline that full kitchen was included in the room rent. First information we got was that no kitchen equipment should be included, which was wrong. We had to explain for the staff that it was included in price according to room description on Agoda. Overall the hotel needs development, especially when it comes to overall service feeling. Most of staff is very "green" and not experienced in the way you expect. When booking a four star hotel you have more expectations then average and when delivery is just average you become a bit disappointed. Overall still a nice, price worth hotel whit potential that can be developed.

Pros: Near sabang beach and townproper, quiet, clean, near lagoon,pool. Cons: Far from white beach, more food options. Over all it s well and nice stay.

Top value”

Great location, friendly staff, very clean. The apartments are very modern with a large bathroom which are equipped with a drench walk in shower with hot water. The bed was very comfy and the fridge came in handy too which was stocked with beer, juice, water and snacks. All in all the stay was perfect.

I suggest that the staff of Jalyn's Resort need more training although they are very polite and friendly. The Manager needs to be more interact to the guests not only the foreigners but also the wive's even if its a Filipina. They need to learn how to follow up emails or calls for the guests who is trying to book in the resort. Some food was salty and I think the cook needs to do more training as wells. The room was really clean and nice, the pool were clean, I would recommend it to my friends,

One of the nicest places I've stayed in Philippines”

I stayed at this resort for a total of 6 nights after only planning on staying for 3. I have been traveling to and around the Philippines for the last 6 years and this new resort is definitely the nicest and best value you could find anywhere. John and Horger, 2 German cousins have designed and built this place to the highest European standards. Nice finishing touches in all 3 types of rooms show the attention to detail. The restaurant was excellent and they even prepared fresh seafood that I purchased at the wet market and cooked it exactly how I asked with just a minimum surcharge. Plans to expand are in the works and they do have a dive shop coming online. It's not beachfront, but it's a quick trike to Sabang or 15 minute drive to White Beach. Plus, they rent scooters by the day at a very reasonable rate and I enjoyed riding myself all around Puerta Galera. I actually enjoy the quiet & beautiful sunset views from the restaurant. Great swimming pool as well. I plan to stay again.

Outstanding Customer Service at Its Finest”

The staff to its owner made our stay here absolutely perfect. The front desk staff at arrival was friendly, helpful, and kind. The staff at the bar, breakfast, and other common areas were helpful and friendly each time I saw them. They offered suggestions about where to eat, shop, and avoid, if necessary. And they'll bent over backwards to make everything better than perfect. This place is new, their rooms are well maintained. And they have the initiative to clean your room everyday, without you telling them. Love! Will surely comeback, thank you Holger and the rest of the staff! Commendable!

Very accommodating staff. The location and view is Phenomenal. The food was great. My family and I spent 5 days and we tried everything on the menu. I recommend the day island hopping. Very close to town.

Almost perfect”

Rooms are simple, clean, and modern. Property is built on a steep incline so bring your hiking legs. So much potential here and a very kind staff to support the growth. The owner has little interest in customer relations so they may want to hire a manager to avoid awkward interactions.
