Very nice clean simple and elegant. Yung rooms malalaki at malinis. Perfect for family with kids. Sakto may acoustic band pa nung nagpunta kami. Perfect din yung place for team building. But the beach if not ideal for swimming daming seaweeds, walang alon. May mga starfish at little fish din. Okay lang naman kasi maganda naman yung pool, I think 3 pools, isang malalim, isang pambata at isang pool na may mababaw pambata at pang adult. Very nice sunset din sa beach. They also have water activities na inooffer. Ang hindi ko lang nagustuhan may time na bawal umorder sa restaurant 10:30 to 11:30am e sakto yan yung time na gutom nako hehe. Pero food is tasty, super sarap nung champorado for breakfast. Price is not overpriced naman, parang restaurant sa Manila. Their staff is very helpful. Overall I recommend this place esp to family with little kids.

Such an amazing experience! The staff are very hospitable and very accomodating, even helped out my husband by letting him use their front desk computer when he had an urgent request from their company CEO. The weather was very cold so my son couldn't stay long in the water but the pools are very clean. The beach had a few trash probably from the current visitors, and there are plenty of starfishes in the shore, kinda hard to find a spot without moving them out of the way. They had some beach activities too which we didn't bother, hehe. Not a fan. The food from the restaurant was great! They were very tasty, though a bit pricey. We had to go out for lunch and dinner the next day. Oh and they had free super fast wifi! Probably because the wifi extender was just outside our room window. Overall, highly recommended and would come again soon! 🙌

The Best Place for Family Vacation!”
We stayed at their Seaview Villa. It was so worth it! My baby enjoyed the place and it was literally just in front of the beach! The food is pricey but the experience is so worth it. The beach sand is nude in color but it still looks magnificent. You can really take good pictures here. Their villas are big enough to accommodate more than 5 people but we were only 5 because of their covid protocols and social distancing. The beds are clean and soft. The living room is wide enough. The restroom is very nice and clean. The view was superb! I would definitely go back.

Exceptional Staycation ”
The place was so great. The 3 hours drive from Metro Manila was worth it. Our rooms was so nice, the food taste so good, the pools and beach was so clean. They have complete amenities. We have an exceptional stay and we will definitely come back. The staff also are very hospitable like Ms. AJ and Sir Grant who give us a tour around. The bar pool was awesome! :) Kudos to Matabungkay Beach Hotel for providing us a very relaxing stay and stress free vacation. :)

The hotel room we stayed was huge! I have 2 kids and they were running around the room like crazy. The rooms and hotel itself need some updating. It coud use some decor and probably more light too. Despite the dated look, the cleanliness, the staff and the environment all in all were very good. My kids had fun and us too (my husband and I). I would love to come back again sometime soon. Kudos to the staff! Everyone was courteous, polite and ready to assist clients. More power!

Staffs are very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent we had a buffet for breakfast. The room was super spacious, its not as modern if you look at the design but why stay in the room when you have so much fresh air outside. The restroom is clean and the water pressure is good. We booked this for our mom's birthday celebration. Little did we know it would be the best beach travel we will have since the pandemic.

Best resort for family travelers”
We've been to Matabungkay Saturday to Sunday. We've experience the peak (Saturday) but the resort managed to control the crowd. You can practice social distancing and still enjoy the hotel amenities. The room was big and spacious. The food was good, bit pricey. The beach is clean and not crowded. All staffs were friendly. Overall, the resort is very kid-friendly and safe. I'll recommend this to friends.

Such a Wonderful Experience in Matabungkay”
It was the first time for our relatives from Mindanao to visit a beach resort in Luzon and Matabungkay Beach Resort was the best choice for them. The staff were very accommodating and very helpful. The room that we used was clean, airy and very spacious. If there is an improvement we can suggest is an elevator. We had 4 senior citizens with us so it was a bit difficult for them to use thr stairs to the third floor.

Traveling with a Person with Disability”
When they gave us the news that the sunset studio we originally booked was unavailable due to drainage issues, I was disappointed, they did offer a family suite (which was way bigger than our original room) but it is located on the 3rd floor in the hotel, but since our group was traveling with a person with orthopaedic difficulties who cannot really traverse the staircase, let alone 3 flights, we were offered 2 deluxe rooms on the first floor, but these rooms proved to be very stuffy and old, and I asked the manager to not put us there because we wanted closer access to the beach since even if the rooms were on the first floor, they would have been all the way down to the end which would still be problematic for our companion who is a PWD. There were no available villas, but I talked to the manager and she hooked us up by providing us one of the beach houses. In the end, our stay was quite pleasant, because of this, the staff were all very friendly, the food was good.

Nice weekend away”
It exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The staff especially Grant, PAtrick and Alma were there to answer any questions. We went kayaking on this they could use help. We were not given any instructions or help pushing the kayak out. Word to the wise. The food is good. They have buffet on the weekends. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Recommended Beach Resort”
The place is so relaxing and private. I appreciated all of the very nice staff of the resort. There are many activities to do. My birthday celebration is a blast. I just want to suggest that they should just give an allotted woods for the bonfire so the guest will be the one to decide how big the fire is as a lot of woods at the same time creates a big fire that stings on our skin and besides we weren't able to melt a marshmallow and cooked the hotdogs because we can get close to the fire for a long time. But all in all our stay was perfect especially the food, the coffee, and the hot chocolate was refillable in the morning breakfast so yummy. Thank you for treating us very well. We'll be back soon.

Great Location & Facilities ”
Staffs are very friendly, parking area is huge, the area is big with 3 pools, beach water is a very gentle slope while you walk further but still water is below waist level, super low tide during night time so you've already walk 100 meters from the sand but still the water is at knee level. Pool hours is very long 7am-11pm which is a lot better than any resort we've visited which is normally closes at 8pm. Pool water are all heated, kid pool is not that warm but sufficient good for anyone who doesn't want that hot. Free Breakfast meal is great and served with fresh fruits. Rice in this region are all semi sticky though..........

The place is so relaxing ,the crew are very accommodating and they are always there whenever you ask for something, this booking is my gift for my sister's wedding and they say that they had really have fun, last year me and my husband are here, and we really like the place and it isa perfect for a couple who wants peace of mind and sweet moments, thats why I chose this as a gift for my sister, Last year we book for a deluxe room however it is too big for me and my husband and there's two bed we only want one that's why we requested for a sunset room which we find it perfect for us we just added 100 pesos, it is near the beach and we find it really nice , relaxing and clean, we really love the break fast, they have a buffet breakfast during that time because it is not yet pandemic and there are many guess, We will never forget this place, simple but relaxing and not so expensive, :) we really love the bulalo in their resto by the way:) 😄

Matabungkay Beach club has retained its standard since the 80's”
Although you can see the signs of age since it opened in the 80's in the structure it was well maintained with courteous and service oriented staff.Rooms were spacious and clean.It has retained its exclusivity as only hotel guests can access even the beach front.Truly felt the privacy even on a weekend with lots of water activities for the whole family.Well recommended!

Matabungkay 2020 with the family”
My family and I enjoyed our stay in Matabungkay resort. The location is perfect, the food was delicious, and they even have water sports activity to try. However, if there's one thing that I would change, I'd love to see the resort pet-friendly. They charge 900 pesos per night per pet and they wouldn't even be allowed to go to your room. As per the staff, they would lock the pet in a cage and put it in a storage room.

Great Destination for families with young children”
The hotel and beach resort is quite old but if you are a nature lover you'd love it's rustic feel (rooms still needs renovation/upgrading, though). The staff are very friendly and accommodating, which makes your stay even more pleasant. The pool is well maintained and the food is great, too! Highly recommend to rent a boat to go island hopping and eat grilled seafood and barbecues by the beach. Hop on the banana boat for a fun ride. Lots of fun-filled water activities available. If you are spending 1 night only, do make sure to enjoy the beach in the afternoon upon your arrival and consider having your laps in the pool the following day, as low tide gets really low in the morning - - beach tends to become really dry. Overall, the pool is clean, beach is nice, food is great, and staff are awesome! Highly recommended!

Water Villa was AMAZING!”
Great place to stay solo, as a couple or a family. Very quiet beach with occasional whoops of joy out on the water ;) Resort was clean and food was good. The best part was our water villa room with breakfast in bed each day. I highly recommend this place.

Very Accommodating Manager and Staffs”
My husband met an accident during our stay. This was a very stressful situation for the both of us but thank God all the hotel's staffs especially the Hotel Manager (Ms Lea) and the Hotel Nurse (Nurse Carol) assisted us with utmost care and concern. From going to the hospital and up to the time we checked out at the hotel. And because of that, despite of what happen to my husband, I still can say that we had a great stay. Good job to all the hotel employees 🥰

We stayed for 3D2N here with my husband and child. Got the Deluxe Room for 11300 for 2 nights, the price is okay for me because nothing special with their rooms but it was clean which is the most important thing for me. All staffs are accommodating. The pools are clean as well as the beach, there are staffs maintaining it. Tv is quite old for me and the ACU too. Overall, happy and relaxing trip for us. Will come back and recommend this place. Short advice: I suggest you bring your own comforter or extra blanket, their room blankets are so thin (like see through type.lol) They do not offer comforters too even you are willing to pay. Buffet breakfast is during weekends only and small variety of foods. On weekdays, they only have Set Menu that you can choose from which are not flexible to interchange to another menu.
