THE BEST in BOHOL!!!”
I rarely rave,but I will for this resort! Modala Beach Resort is the probably the BEST hotel/resort in Bohol. I traveled with my mom who is a senior and my sister and they, too love this hotel! Overall luxurious feels when you stay at this hotel! 1st: The Staff - from receptionist, to house keeping, to life guards, are very nice. They are the clear proof of the outstanding hospitality of Boholanons! They make sure you are comfortable, soon after check in, they'll call to check if you are comfortable in the rooms (which I will describe later). They catered to all our needs, even lent us charging adapters as their outlets don't fit ours. When you go out for activities, housekeeping with clean the rooms for you even without request (your belongings are safe!) Lovely! Rooms: Spacious, has everything you'd need! We had 2 queen sized beds, a day bed/lounger, coffee table basically a studio unit minus a mini kitchen. Room has a small fridge with your welcome drinks in it. Shower is amazing! Great water pressure, water heater is amazing especially if you love steam showers. They even have a digital scale in case you are watching your weight during vacation :)) Food: Amazing buffet breakfast options! Fresh fruits, filipino breakfast food staples, bread, coffee, hot choco, fresh juice... everything is here! Amenities: Pool is superb! just the right water temperature to enjoy day or night swim. Beach front: very clean beachfront, the only problem is when it's low tide, the water is very shallow, like shin deep. Still very enjoyable as the use of kayaks and paddle boards are free! Check-in and Check-out: Very easy check-in process. We had a late trip going back to Cebu, so I requested if we could do a late checkout and they allowed us to. **Do take note that late check out is subject to room availability** We will definitely choose Modala Beach Resort again when we come back to Panglao! It's our home away from home.

Great Hotel Stay with Modern Facilities and Excellent Service”
My husband and I wanted to stay at a hotel that was not in Alona Beach since we wanted to have a quiet relaxing stay, and upon seeing the excellent reviews, we decided to book Modala. We availed the hotel’s airport transfer (cost us 800php for 2), and found that it was a 10 minute ride from the new Panglao Airport. Van was new and driver were very welcoming. Upon arriving at the resort, we were in awe of the interiors. Everything was beautifully designed, from the infinity pool, the restaurant, and the rooms. Our room was overlooking the pool, had a very comfortable king bed, and was very very clean. Bathroom was clean, too. All the staff are courteous and always willing to see if they can do anything to assist. They made us feel at home and at ease. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of viands, breads, fruits, and spreads. Their hot chocolate, and bacon were to die for, and the view while having breakfast is excellent. Water sports equipment are also available for use for all guests. The hotel is also located beside a small open-air mall, Moadto Strip, which housed a few restaurants, a pharmacy, and a convenience store. This is definitely a plus. All in all, it was a stay that we will never forget. We are already thinking of going back.

Great resort, value for money!”
We really appreciate that we're able to check in earlier than expected. The room smelled nice, was very clean and big. The beds were really comfortable and we had a lot of pillows! I think the extra-person charge of 750 for our 8-yo child is a bit pricey especially since she doesn't eat much during breakfast but it's worth it (buffet breakfast, extra toiletries, and her own set of towels/robe, etc.). During our visit, there were lots of sea weeds on the beach but the resort staff always cleans the area so, lounging at the beach early in the morning was pleasant. There is also an Al Fresco dining at Mangaon Ta (their in-house restaurant) so we got to enjoy the sea breeze during breakfast. High tide started at past 930am and it got too hot and bright around this time already that we spent more time in the pool and outdoor jacuzzi than the beach. And we were able to try the paddleboards and kayaks for free! For dining, there is Moadto Strip which houses a lot of restaurants but some were a bit pricey. There's also 7-11 and a pharmacy nearby. All in all, it was a very restful and splendid experience for us. The resort staff was very accommodating and all smiles, which made us feel really welcome and special. We will definitely come back!

Best resort in Panglao that I've been to”
We've been to Panglao 4 times already and this is the resort we want to return to AGAIN within this year. I traveled with my family (with a small child) and this was one of the best vacations we had. The resort is so relaxing, the beach is perfect. White fine sand, gentle slope perfect for kids, crystal clear water and without the huge crowd. You can have the relaxing weekend here as the beach front is huge you can have your own space and away from other guests. Activities: We did kayaking and paddle boarding. You can even go to the mangroves. Just outside we contacted the tricycle drivers for a tour of Panglao. We rented a motorbike instead for USD10+ for 24hrs. Same contact also referred to us to rent a boat for dolphin watching, Balicasag and sandbar island tour. We just cross the street and go to the other beach to board the boat at 6am and there were 3 huge groups of wild dolphins we encountered. STAFF: Staff are well trained! Room service is fast. They help you with what you need. They taught us how to use the paddle board. They contacted us when the sea urchin from a boatman we ordered came in. They are all polite and willing to go out of their way to help. They prepared packed breakfast for us for our 6am island tour! Excellent service! Facilities: I love the infinity pool, the availability of lounge chairs at the pool at the beach and even the towels. Too bad the jacuzzi is not working when we're there. My child enjoyed the kiddie pool but not as much as the beach. The room is huge, with balcony and chairs at the balcony where you can take your coffee, and something to hang your wet clothes. TV is huge and I can access my Netflix from there without hiccups. Bath is huge, I love the luxury toiletries. I love that the resort is eco-friendly, they provide drinking water in glass bottles and not in PET bottles. Their toothbrush is made from bamboo. The toiletries are in refillable containers and not those mini ones you dispose after.

Best of Bohol 2022”
I highly recommend Modala Beach resort if you wish to experience luxurious hotel in panglao. Im very thankful to Sir Carlo housekeeping supervisor and his team for the bed greetings "Happy Honeymoon" I and my husband is super kilig. I'm just disappointed to the 1 front office agent I forget his name (gay). We're enjoying swimming with my friends (2 only) when he souted on me said I need to pay for extra 900 each for my 2 visitor. His so rude. He can address that upon check out not infront of my friends! I feel he was watching me everytime I use the hotel facilities. I'm not comfortable on his action! I remember him because his the one I ask if the kayak is free and he don't know. I understand if his new I suggest to brief your new staff. I always stay in 5 Star hotel w/ my friends but they don't ask me to charge them, Upon check out he was there and he was trying to charge us for 3 adults, I told them 2 adults only. I don't know what's wrong with him, but I not feel welcome from check in to check out! He don't even wearing a name tag. Anyway, your hotel standards is five star higher except from staff specially the Gay/man in front office.

Big clean room, superb & friendly staff”
Clean and nice smell room, ample charging plugs, tables, chairs etc were placed on the right areas (well-thought of). We got the room overlooking the Moadto strip mall, but there’s no problem with the noise (even baby slept well). Super accomodating and friendly staff(reception,dining,beach,pool,guard). Spacious lobby for waiting guests. Infinity pool + jacuzzi and kids pool were superb. Wide beach area! Lowtide was morning afternoon (april1-4). Good number of beach lounge chairs, kayaks. Buffet breakfast super worth it. Restaurants in the moadto mall were in the ₱250-500 price range per viand. Cons: need to go 39 steps down to go to the beach area vice versa from the pool/room/reception area. 26+steps going down to the mall if from the main lobby. Very tiring more so going up (plus have to carry our 1yr old baby everytime). Unless there’s an elevator (that we didnt knew :( ) Super good hot tablea chocolate drink offered during buffet breakfast but it was just so intense, got LBM for 2 days. (

Spent our honeymoon and my birthday at Modala Beach Resort and wouldn't have it any other way. They were very thoughtful in upgrading our room when they found out it was my birthday and we just got married. Despite us having the room at a promo rate. The facilities were superb and the rooms were super clean. AC was so cool that we didn't leave the room for an entire day. That's how cozy it is. The location is about 15-20 mins from the airport and the Moadto Strip is just next to it for your hunger fix. Bathroom and shower were spacious. The bath essentials were provided and they even use Badgley Mischka for their Shampoo & Conditioner and Body wash. Breakfast selection was 10 star too! It was complete and delicious. Lastly, we loved the friendliness of the staff. Everyone greets you with a smile and attends to your need. We'll definitely be back. Choose Modala on your next stay, it will be worth it.

Remarkable stay in Modala Beach Resort!”
We don't know what to expect with this trip since we arrived 2 days after the onslaught of Typhoon Odette and the province of bohol were one of the badly hit areas. No power and water supply, branches of trees scattered along the roads, people lining up on the streets to buy mineral water, and vehicles were jampacked on every gas stations. We were picked up by Kuya Alex, the resort's shuttle driver and with a smile going to the hotel. He had alot of stories to tell while we are on our way to the hotel. In short, hindi ka maboboring sa kanya and he is a courteous and responsible driver.👍 Upon arrival at the Hotel, we met Nish who welcomed us warmly like all filipinos would do when they have guests visiting their house. We were amazed that our rooms were upgraded, beach front with the best balcony view!👌 We had our buffet breakfast and we met Edwin, the all around manager in the restaurant which will give you the best of his ability to serve every customers staying at the hotel. We would also like to appreciate Steve, for helping us arrange our island shopping with Dolphin watching for the kids, we really enjoyed it with our kids. Kuddos to him for waking up so early at 5 AM to arrange our breakfast and shuttle service. And last but not the least, to the management of Modala Beach Resort for giving their 101% customer service, despite being affected by Typhoon Odette, they were able to deliver quality service for their customers. 🙏👏👏👏 We will definitely go back again to visit bohol and to have our stay in Modala Beach resort! I love my overall stay in Modala. It is so homey. All the staff from the guards to the dining, housekeeping, reception and recreation were courteous and accomodating. The food breakfast buffet has good choices. The rooms are spacious and clean. I like that this resort offers horseback riding, kayaking and other water sports. The Moadto Strip is also one good advantage being just next door to the resort. The restaurants gave us more choices to choose and no need to go far out. It was an experience dining out under the stars. I am glad I made this choice of picking up this resort among the rest. I will be back and also recommend this place * Didnt get any sanitation kit I hope you can add teabags with your complimentary coffee Please do add showercaps in your toiletries Could be better if you have a notepad and a pen/pencil on the desk of each room

My best friend and I were delighted that we chose Modala for our vacation. This was my first ever out-of-town trip since the pandemic happened and I am so glad I was able to spend it here! They even went above and beyond for accommodating my request of providing a special congratulatory message to my newly wed friend. The entire place gives you a very relaxing vibes not only because the resort itself is already beautiful, but mainly because of the impeccable service we got from all the staff!!! Kudos to everyone especially those we have encountered such as: Reservations Shan, FO Reggie, Raffie & the lady receptionists, Bartenders Markie & Manny, the Kuya Lifeguards at the pool & beach, F&B attendants Carlo & Bobby, and the housekeeping attendant who made up our room during our stay! Good job as well to their bosses, I assume it was their GM and F&B Manager whom we seldom see walking around the resort and checking if everything is in place. Tumoy Leisure Village is where you can find everything… resort with a mall (Moadto Mall has restaurants, convenience store & pharmacy) beside it! So convenient for us who decided to just stay in the hotel the whole time. Indeed, they gave me a much needed rest and relaxation. Thank you, Modala Beach Resort. I would definitely consider coming back with my friends and family soon! :) This trip is one for the books!!!

Best Accomodation in Panglao”
Booked this resort twice already, the first one was last April 2022. Definitely worth your money - the rooms were clean and well maintained, staffs are nice and courteous (everyone will greet you once they see you), reception will really do their best to accomodate your requests (we asked during our first visit if we could do a late checkout and they happily agreed), the pools are a sight to see, and the beachfront... ONE OF THE BEST IN PANGLAO. While the Alona Beach is open to public and might get crowded during peak seasons, the beachfront of Modala was so clean and serene. This is a perfect place to stay for those who want to just relax after a long day of Bohol Tours, or if you just want to get away from the busy streets of Manila. Will definitely book this resort again on our third visit in Bohol 😉

Best Hotel in Panglao”
Modala Beach Resort is a very good place to go if you want to go to Panglao in lieu of Boracay. The place is clean with attached mall that you have a variety of restaurants to choose from. The location is at the end of the island so it’s good and isolated to most of the people. The beach is clean and they have free facilities that both kids and adults can use and enjoy. The staffs are polite and friendly. The buffet breakfast is good especially the hot choco and coffee. The band and the music is good at night. The room is very spacious good enough for the family of four. The rooms are cleaned everyday and they can arrange to clean it at your request. The bathroom necessities are complete. Highly recommended.

Best Staycation so far!”
We had a verrry relaxing time at Modala. The beach is solely for their guests so you can really relax, and chill while appreciating the beauty of the ocean. The room smells fresh and the bathroom is clean and because of that, we were able to get a good long rest on our first day at the resort. They also have a sanitary kit ready with daily supplies of towels, toothbrushes, and soaps. They always change the sheets and the bath towels so they do housekeeping every day. The food was delicious and freshly served every morning. And last but not least all of the staff were all friendly and courteous. We are definitely going back to Modala when we decide to take some time off from work again. Love the resort overall!

This hotel is simply amazing. The size is just right, the crowd is just perfect, not too crowded. Big thumbs up to the staff, they are very kind, helpful & accommodating to guest. They dont discriminate whether you're a local or a foriegner, you are treated well. I love love the hotel. I love how clean the place is, i love the room, i love the location (away from the crowd but it has everything you need). I love the food here. The staff isnt strict, they dont mind if you bring food from outside. I love their beach, its very clean, very "swimmable". 5 stars isn't enough to rate this place. Can't wait to be back. Perfect stay”
Everything in this hotel is luxurious and modern. All the staff are extremely polite. Special thanks to Sherwin who drove us around, and to Ralph for taking care of us every breakfast. The room is big, clean and modern. The bathroom is lavish, and the best part is the view from my bed which faces the ocean. I don't want to leave. I even forgot to mention how good their food was, either breakfast, dinner and we enjoyed the cocktails. The welcome drink also was very refreshing. When I posted pics on my social media, a lot have asked where we stayed coz they too love how nice the place is.

A Must Stay in Panglao”
It was my friend who's been living in Panglao that told me about this place and we're so happy we decided to stay here last Dec. Though a lot of their facilities were still closed and it was Amihan so the private beach was full of seaweed, we still enjoyed our stay. Bed is big and comfy. Perfect for hubs and I and our then 4-month old. I love that they are more eco friendly compared to alot of other resorts. They do refillable shower toiletries that smell like a spa and give water in glass canisters vs plastic bottles. Aside from the gorgeous room, fresh water simming pool and Moadto Mall downstairs, the best part of our stay was the service - esp in the resto. Phenomal waiters. Buffet breakfast is great too! This place is perfect for people who wanna unwind but also have options for some kinda night life. I really believe Moadto will become a mini Boracay once more establishments open up. Can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely stay here everytime we go to Panglao. 👍👍

We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary & my husbands birthday when we decided to choose this hotel as also recommended by a friend who just went to Bohol. And it was a very pleasant stay. The location was good, also beside Moadto Strip Mall which has a lot of restaurants. The staffs were also nice to accommodate all our request. They gave us a cake and a postcard to welcome us. Also they prepare us a packed breakfast during our Island hopping because we wont be able to join our free breakfast in the morning. That was very nice of them! The room were spacious, and I dont usually use the free toiletries but theirs was different. Ang bango ng shampoo at conditioner! And ofcourse, all of their staffs are nice, helpful and very friendly. We stayed 4 days & every night they would call and ask if we are doing okay or if we need anything. Just amazing customer service! We will definitely go back again and will recommend it to family and friends.❤️❤️❤️

Best Place to Stay”
I would definitely recommend this hotel 💯! Everything was so good. All the staff are very well trained in handling guests, from the room service to restaurant everything is great! The rooms are well maintained and cleaned, sanitized and ecofriendly. The pool are always clean and with lifeguard visibility for the kids. The beach is not crowded, you can enjoy sitting and relaxed on the shore. The resort itself are kids friendly and safe. I will definitely stay on this resort if I go back to bohol. Home away from Home”
What I like the most about this resort is its location. It's 10-15 minutes away from the airport. It has its own mall where you have a variety of options for food (Japanese, Chinese, Filipino) and a nearby 7-11. Though if you want cheaper options, you may want to stay at Alona Beach. However, the best part of this place is you have an almost private beach. It is on the more quiet side of Panglao and as not as crowded as Alona Beach. Perfect for introverts like me lol. The food in Mangaon Ta (in-house restaurant) is superb! The staff are all very courteous and accommodating. Shout out to Ms. Maita for her recommendations for the tour! Love the overall design of the place from the Koi Pond in the lobby to the infinity pool and of course the very relaxing rooms. Those Badgely Mischka shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel really smell soooo good! I will definitely be back here with family and friends!

Highly Recommended”
Definitely one of the best vacations my wife and I had. Pros: 1. World-class facility (room, restaurant, beach activities w/c includes free use of kayak and paddle board) 2. Excellent customer service (daily cleaning and supplies replenishment, fast check in and check out) 3. There's a mall nearby (restaurants and 7-eleven) 4. Less crowded 5. 15-20 minutes airport proximity Cons: 1. Lock on the balcony door is not working 2. Less food options on the nearby mall. Some of the stalls are still not occupied but you can also eat at a nearby restaurant La Vara just outside the mall (Moadto Strip)
