A Real Haven! A Great Escape from Manila!”

I would definitely recommend Muro-Ami. It is a beachfront resort. Beside Muro-Ami are the upscale resorts - Bellevue & Ananyana. It's really a better option if you want value for your money. You're sharing the same white sand beach with the 5 star resorts. I'm super happy with Muro-Ami Resort, they have awesome staff and good food at their restaurant. Budget 200 per person per meal and you're good to go! Ask for their countryside tour and sea tour, both are very enjoyable!

It was that one lucky night before going to Bohol, we didn't have any idea where to stay, and then I started searching and saw Muro Ami in Agoda and it was perfect, the seafront location, the price for the room with AC, hot and cold shower, tv w/ cable, a clean room and of course! the yummy food! I would highly recommend this resort for they have a friendly staff. Thumbs up! See you again Muro Ami!

Morning beach view and foods ”

Pros: if you only want a nice white beach view in the morning when it's lowtide.Not crowded. Foods are fine. Sharing serving. Just beside bellevue. Iocation is better than alona, sea shore in the morning is really good. Shore is far from the sea during mornings, unlike in alona that shore/sands is just few steps going to the water. Cons: 15mins alona but need to take tryk. Bring foods in the hotel, 7 11 is the nearest to buy foods.

The view is very good but far from downtown ”

If you don't like night life, just be satisfied with the beach and sea view, it would be nice to stay here. If you like crowded and want to have more chances to ask for different services like massage and island hopping, it's about 6.8 km from Arona. The sea is 10 meters from our room and a scuba diving shop is 10 meters from here as well. Nice to enjoy the view here.

Most of the staff except for one provided really great service. Location is excellent for people who want to be away from the crowds... the beach was nice. The room was not so ok... bathroom was clean enough but poorly laid out.

It's perfect valued for the money we pay, I feel i made such a right choice choosing Muro Ami than anyone else at the Alona beach, Muro Ami has got its own white sand beach and amzaing food,after all, seeing the ocean as soon as I woke up and open the door is what i needed, plus very tasty and reasonable priced food:)

The stay in muro ami was wonderful. ”

It is a very quiet place and you can walk along the beach. The beach itself is nice, but not the best for chill-out. It has a great view and you can also book tours with the staff of muro ami. If you rent a scooter you can explore the island and go to the more touristic beach alona. If you're looking for a place not directly in the buzz and not surrounded by touristic markets, it's the right place to stay. Moreover, they had great food to cheap reasonable prices.

HIghly recommend”

I had a wonderful time with Muro Ami especially with the delicious food which I think is one of the best in town as many locals go there to have dinner. The beach is not very attractive without white sands but from there we can take ship to Virgin Islands which is not very far. We choose the sea tour and countryside tour from Muro Ami too and quite satisfied, but the countryside tour is not very interesting though as the driver dont speak English. Basic room but well cleaned, free water,delicious food with reasonable price and especially wonderful staff are the things I will recommend any one with tight budget

Lovely hotel with great service”

I loved my stay at Muro Ami, it was quiet and a nice location. The food was the best part! The chef they have is fantastic! Literally, the best adobo of my life! The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs, and were helpful with information as well. Cheap hotel, and cheap food.

a lovely hotel with a private beach”

- the location is slightly far away from the centre of panglao island-Alona beach, which could be a pro or con. - Room and the surrounding are comfortable and clean. - service provided by different staff there is great as everyone has been really nice and friendly. - And as the hotel restaurant is like the only restaurant there, so you might as well just try the food there as the food there is actually as good as other restaurants do.

nice seaside view! good food for a good price. staff are friendly. the economic room is not a good choice,better to book a higher price room. cos there is funny noice from the roof,like the cat was running above.

Hotel with a beautiful white beach @ a great price”

we absolutely loved our stay in this hotel. the restaurant serves really great tasting food at half the prices of other hotels or standard resort restaurant prices. the room we got (economy, the cheapest) is very well-priced (cheap) and yet it was in front of a beautiful quiet, powdery white sand beach. the shore itself was wide and long, not too small, so you could walk long enough to enjoy the beach. its beside the bellevue hotel in panglao island so you could say it shares the beautiful beach in front of the bellevue too. this is such a cozy, small, great-priced yet lovely hotel with its own beach front it would be a shame not to try it at some point if you're visiting panglao. the location itself is not populated/crowded at all since its in another barangay (thats still part of panglao but quieter) called duljo. the hotel also has wonderful staff and the most diligent, helpful and friendly hotel staff named lito.

Great customer service”

Our room is outside the dining area, facing the beach. Although it was a little bit noisy outside, it was highly compensated with a great customer service! the room is small with a little drawer, but at least it was clean, with a functional air-conditioner and shower heater. when we arrived, the air condition is already turned on. the staff is very polite and they listen and understand your concern.

Great when travelling on a budget. ”

It was good enough for the amount that we paid for. There are just a few cons that I would like to mention. First, the water from the shower was salty. Second, the hotel was far from Alona Beach. Third, the food took a while and it wasn't that great either. Fourth, it was very difficult to get a tricycle. Kudos however to the staff for being hospitable.

we arrived at the hotel around 7pm but we're not able to night swim because it was low tide. we just did sand sculpting and afterwards one of the staff suggested that we can have dinner by the beach in which we conceded. we asked them to cook sutukil and adobong squid for us. and man, that was one of the best dinners we had! everything was delicious! they gave us 1 liter of iced tea for free as their welcome drink (according to them). as for the beach, the sand was finer than the sand in panglao nature resort & spa. the water was so clear too with a wonderful view. we regret it that we did not stay longer. our check out time was 12noon but we checked out around 9am. *sigh* overall, it was an awesome stay, thank you muro-ami beach resort!

Great location and great value for money”

The room was located right on the beach so I had breakfast while looking at the ocean which was fantastic. The room was pretty dull and had no cupboards, only a broken tv stand. There was aircon though and the bed was fine.

Positive - beach front - room near the front desk - staff are pleasant Negative - shower knob has problem and has leak ---- we reported it but they werent able to fix it. So we have to settle with the "tabo". - beddings for the 2nd bed (for the kids) are kinda old and looks not clean. - aircon is not working properly or may not be enough for the room. Neutral - they have wifi BUT speed min - .05mb max (during night time) - 2mb. - beach front, BUT not maintained trash is everywhere. Very visible during daytime. - they have food choices.. BUT a bit pricey for locals. But i'm sure it would be cheap for outlanders. - they have huge beach front BUT if theres a party.. you will need to bear with the noise of the party or the karaoke (which we experienced) Overall, i'd say it's still a win-win scenario for us. If not for their contact - tricycle driver.. we wouldn't be able to visit and enjoy Alona area at night.
