Quaint Respite”

Paradores is a quaint and restful respite away from home in a historical setting. What a sweet little nook to end one's day in after touring the heritage homes of Taal. It is beautifully appointed--making one travel back in time without sacrificing the convenience of modern amenities. Our only problem was that the rooms weren't soundproof, which can be a pain when there is a big party taking place in the restaurant downstairs.

It was such a treat to go back in time and stay in an old Philippine "bahay na bato." It heightened the dreamy historical feel of the town. The hotel is beautifully preserved and renovated. But the staff and the owners are the best!

The staff here are super nice and very helpful. They can actually make you feel at home. The location is also very good since the hotel is located at the middle of the heritage town. You can actually just walk to all the museums and churches from the hotel.

Beautiful place. Very clean and comfortable. With just the right facilities we needed for the trip. Central location - close to diff places of interest. Food was excellent too. Awesome service from their staff. Highly recommended! :)

Its got cool architecture. Nice view from restraunt and yard area in back. The restraunt and bar was already closed when we went at 8:30pm which seemed quite ridiculous. The cheapest room (3,500 peso) is very small and seperate from main building.

Lovely place in a great town!”

This place is really nice- and so are the fantastic members of staff! Definitely worth a visit. I'd love to visit Taal again just to stay in this place! The location is perfect too. 1. A couple of things to be aware of: The airport pickup was very expensive and they were more than an hour late. They were very friendly, though. So, next time I'll probably arrange alternative transport. 2. It can be a bit noisy at night- in particular the week end. 3. The week-end has buffet breakfast, other days you order the breakfast, so the breakfast is much better on week-days. Really yummy.

Historic but comforts!”

Taal was a stopover and fine for a day - largest RC Church in the Philippines is there. Hotel has comfortable beds, lots of English TV Channels and best coffee and breakfast so far on our trip - 5 weeks in! Staff could not be more helpful! When I could not get the hot water to work they put me in room next door and when it did not work I realized I was not reading the instructions correctly! So nice about it! We wanted to catch a Van to Tagaytay- be aware that no schedule- they simply wait to fill it up unless you want to pay more!

Fantastic all around ”

It's walking distance to most of the galleries and places you want to visit (market, churches, etc.) but is still in a quiet and secluded area that allows you to relax and unwind. The staff is attentive, friendly and very accommodating. The hotel and grounds are well-maintained and there are very many instagrammabale nooks and crannies. Not only would I recommend Paradores del Castillo to my friends and families but I would definitely come back to visit!

Lovely place, great staff, excellent buffet”

This was our second stay and it doesn’t disappoint. We had the Queen deluxe room( two beds.. which we didn’t need but that was all that was available.) It was located on the first floor across from the front desk. I was concerned about noise but it was very quiet. We loved the extra space. The garden area has a lovely view. Very peaceful and serene. They have an outdoor bar( beer, wine mostly) with bar stools but it’s better to just sit at the dining area. We visited on the weekend and the buffet was excellent! Good choices of Pinoy food and a grill area as well. Excellent service. The staff is very attentive. The attention to detail impresses me the most. From decor to service they do things right. If you are visiting Taal treat yourself to a great experience and stay here.

Everything was great in the ancient town, walking distance to the famous Taal Church staff very helpful for our Taal day trip, lovely room, great Mountain View, delicious breakfast and dinner, unforgettable sunset view Nice swimming pool~

Luxurious stay”

Everything is great. The only downside would be the location of their pool - which is inside a subdivision (clubhouse of the subdivision).

Relaxing staycation”

The location in Taal is great, as the tourist spots (old houses,church) are easily accessible from the hotel. The b&b itself was quite interesting--lots of antique and the garden was nice. Breakfast was good! And it was served in the garden. We loved the friendly staff.

first time to stay here and i wanna come back already. the staff's service is exceptional. their room is very homey, actually the whole place itself. the food is good and the serving is more than enough for 1 person. good value for money. if you wanna just relax, chill and be lazy this is the perfect place for you. i will visit this place again for sure.

Excellent food, location, and SERVICE”

The cherry on top of stay in Paradores, aside from great food and place, is the service our family received from the staff. I remember one staff (Ms. Jane) going the extra mile, assisting my 6 yr old daughter to the rest room while we were having our breakfast. Kudos to Paradores for making sure each and every guest are well accomodated through the quality of service we receive.

Great place to stay for a weekend getaway”

I love the rooms.. reminds me of our old ancestral house. Mostly touches of vintage mixed with a bit of modern. Food at restaurant was great and reasonably priced. Staff are all accommodating and quite helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Charming Place”

A very charming and relaxing place. Accommodating and friendly staff. Great historic yet comfortable ambiance with authentic antique furniture and memorabilia. Wooden floors add to the ancestral beauty of the place, but can generate noise that can be heard inside the 2nd floor bedrooms.

Great management and staff”

We loved the antique charm of the hotel. It’s right in the historical „zone“ of Taal and you can do everything by foot, tricycle or jeepney. There was a slight mishap/misunderstanding with us being vegetarian and the lunch buffet... but management responded quickly and gave us a big fruit platter on the house. The old wooden structure of the hotel makes noises travel fast and so it can be quite loud if in the room next to you are very active kids which wake up at 6am and start hopping around - but you can’t choose your neighbours, can you ;-) if you’re a light sleeper you should consider that, though!

Fantastic setting and view”

The place is magnificent both inside and outside (garden) with a nice view on the town. Their staff is really charming and helpful. Food is so so and more adapted to local taste than to international travelers but still fine. Real good value for money

The Paradores is an old renovated turn of the century mansion converted into a hotel. ”

It is almost a century old private residence that is rich in history and owned by a wealthy family of Taal. There is a sense of going back in time. Although we stayed at a 2 storey villa a few blocks from the Paradores, nevertheless the villa which is a replica of a "bahay na bato", was decent and axcomodating. There are touches of modern amenities i. e. Air conditions, refrigerator and modern bathroom with cold and warm water also a TV. Other than that the room is charming and a throw back living in the past. Outside the room is oir private garden and a parking space. You can bring a beach chair and take a quick nap under a big shaded tree. The sorroundings are xlean and away from busy noisy streets. There are also no loiters such as dogs and cats. There is also a pool for guest use which is in another location only blocks away but a shuttle is provided by the Paradores staff. It was ice to have the pool for our personal family use and it was clean and bath towels were provided.
