Fabulous location just a short 15 minute walk to the old town (or 5 mins in free shutttle) this resort is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous rooms with dark wood features and lush garden surrounds maintained immaculately. Buffet breakfast with made to order hot dishes were a class above the standard fare and we ate dinner at both restaurants - again the food was fantastic. La Siesta has its own area of private beach (15 mins by free shuttle) with snacks and cocktails served to your shaded lounge at very good prices. We did a day bike ride tour booked through reception which was the highlight of our stay. Flat and easy paced, with lots of village stops along the way. We recommend this resort highly and will certainly return - for much longer next time!

I had a superb experience at Pool Side Villa. During my two night stay, the owner is very helpful and friendly. The staff were informative. Room is large and very clean! The only downside is the location a little far from the town centre. Though the hotel has the motorbike and bicycle for rent. Also provide laundry service on a cheap price. Overall I would say it's a 9.5 out of 10 for a budget hotel.

I had read some good reviews and decided to give it a try. The price was very fair and the room was probably the best I had in Vietnam at any price.The owner has spent some time in the USA and has added small touches you don't always see at other resorts. The room had great lighting beautiful hardwood floors and plenty of locking storage that actually worked. The included breakfast was simple but tasty usually i had an omelette with baguette and fruit and coffee . I actually stayed there two different times and on the second visit they had added a thick mattress pad to address complaints of the mattress being too firm. The water was being heated by a solar system so hot water was more plentiful during the day. The large window in the shower was an unusual feature but it did help to let more natural light in and the bottom part of it was frosted. It was a pretty big step getting out of the tub area to the floor but not a big problem for me. The location is 15 mins out of the center but the free bikes they provide make it an easy trip and I was surprised to find the road back was lit well enough to see at night.There is a large dog and he does bark in the evenings but when things settle down at night he gets quite and never kept me awake. If you go away from town there are some other interesting areas to explore on the bike. There were plans to begin construction to add more rooms and a pool and I do not know if that has stated yet.The staff is very helpful and can provide competitive prices on arranging tours in the area and even flights from Da Nang. Also I found the minibar prices to be very reasonable and the internet was fast and reliable. Hoi An is a must visit place if you are in Vietnam I took day tours to Hai Van Pass that stopped at Marble Mountain and also a side trip to Hue to see the Citadel which was quite interesting to me. I hope to be able to return to Hoi An for another visit and will happily stay at this wonderful Villa!

We had booked this homestay after trawling the reviews of a lot of places and decided to see what a homestay was all about. it turns out its just a small family ran hotel. from the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcome and offered tea, coffee and watermelon or bananas on arrival, which was very early. our bus arrived at 7am and the owner was very happy to pick us up from the station for a very small fee. after settling in and having a well needed nap after the long bus ride in we met our receptionist Khu'u who not only helped us gather as much information on hoi an but vietnamese life itself. hoi an has been our favourite place and i wanted to wait to write this review until we had visited other places and i would like to confirm it is yet to be trumped which myself and my girlfriend have both agreed that Khu'u made that possible. so kind, thoughtful and helpful. we are already planning our trip back next year to hoi an which is all down to Khu'u. amazing lady. the hotel are lucky to have her. both the owner and the wife are also a pleasure, we got invited for dinner which was awesome and very thoughtful. the actual rooms are incredible for the price, by far the best bed we have slept in while in vietnam. breakfast was brilliant with a good selection. motorbike for rent if you choose and the option for a free bicycle is at the homestay also. i will recommend my friends, family and i will be staying here again next year. Riverside pottery village is fantastic. quite, out of the town but not too far. see you again soon
