The location of this property is the best thing about this resort.
We travelled in March 2019 and I would say this is one of the best places to stay in Lachen.
All meals were included in the cost and the staff serves delicious food with several options to choose from.
The property is beautiful.
The staff is wonderful, they took very good care of us.

Amazing stay! ”
We travelled in March 2019 and I would say this is one of the best places to stay in Lachen. The property is beautiful. The view from the room is breathtaking. The staff is wonderful, they took very good care of us. The resort tariff might seem a bit expensive as compared to other places but it is well worth every penny. All meals were included in the cost and the staff serves delicious food with several options to choose from. We particularly liked the little attention to details like, they gave blanket heaters along with room heater, gave hot water in flask for the night, started the fireplace before dinner and served us food with much love! The location of this property is the best thing about this resort.

Rude staff make you feel unwanted”
Lachen has very few decent hotels given the location. Within that Apple Orchard promises to be the best but falls short due to bad staff behavior. Among the pros is nice property and decent/basic rooms. The bad part is that they just don't want to attend to you. Given that it has only 11 rooms, the owner couldn't justify keeping enough staff and that hurts me as a customer. The staff that is present is overworked and wants to vent out it's frustration on the guests. The luggage pick up, room cleaning, housekeeping and restaurant bell boy et Al roles are performed by the same guy - can understand why he was so furious all the time. Overall, given that you don't have many options, I believe many will still book this property but in my view it's not value for money. Better to stay somewhere else where it's cheaper bcoz anyways people won't stay more than 12 hrs here.

Very Nice Resort”
We had a white Christmas here ! It snowed for the first day in the season in 2016 on christmas & we loved the experience. It was amazing & also the food is amazing.

Good but not worth the luxury price. The hotel rooms are nice in terms of decor and ambience. The biggest issue is car cannot reach the entrance and there's an uphill climb which makes it difficult for senior citizens ( i travelled with my mother). For others as well, it's difficult if it's raining. The views are nice but not unique to this hotel. Food was strictly average. Of the 4 full meals that I had, 3 had the exact same menu. However the staff was very nice to give packed food early in the morning while going to Gurudomnagar as well as during my return journey. There is no TV in the room, no in-house entertainment. Heaters are provided in the room. No wifi. Cards are not accepted for payments. If you get a good discounted deal it's cool but surely does not command the luxury rates asked by the hotel.I

Stay was unpleasant ”
Booked 2 rooms for 29/3/17. We were the only guests. At 9:30 the generators were switched off ( we were told there was power cut in the area since 2/3 days) & we had only 1 light in each room. Phones & cameras cldnt be charged. Room heaters & Bathroom lights weren't working as well. The manager refused to listen to our request. We had to call Agoda to settle the matter & they did a fantastic job to restore the electricity for that night. After a Long journey one needs to climb quite a few stairs to reach the Hotel reception. Cars don't go anywhere near the hotel lobby & this wasn't mentioned anywhere. The climb will not be easy for the elderly & faint-hearted. It's the only decent hotel in Lahchen though which is an extremely small town.
