Guests can enjoy contemporary cuisine in the Bistro or opt for something with a Mediterranean twist from the Meridian Cafe Bar situated right next door. Enjoy a walk along the promenade, discover 'Rabbie Burn' country, horse racing, golf or just enjoy the pastimes in the surrounding areas. On the ground floor you will find the reception, the bistro and the Shire Bar. The Shire Bar is a warm, welcoming place where you can enjoy a hearty dram in front of an open fire.

5 mins walk from Ayr train station. My room have private toilet with hot bath and shower. Room is very clean. Room temp reasonable warm around 20 degree. There is a bar downstair but my room is quite quiet.

I was in Ayr to see a band in the Twa Dugs, the A&G is basically next door. So hardiness was perfect. It's situated in the center of Ayr. Room was small(single) but perfect for my stay. Staff were helpful and informative. Bar didn't open till 4.30 but plenty others around. Food was good . Smoked Haddock risotto, mmm. Breakfast was, well I'm waiting on that now. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A dated but clean and tidy place to stay that was central, with friendly, helpful staff and served our purposes very well. The only negative was the band that started at 9:30pm and went until late, which would put me off staying there again. It would be handy if the address of the car park was given, due to the one way system, the post code takes you to the front door, but that is not where the car park is.

Wonderful location close to the train station, shops, restaurants, bars etc. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We extended our stay and would come here again.
