Brompton Hotel London July 2019”
The Hotel is a very short walk from South Kensington railway station. Come up out of the station , (don’t turn right towards the museums), cross the road and it is on the right opposite a pharmacy and car showroom. The hotel is in an older, narrow building, the reception is up a flight of stairs. The room I had was basic, clean, small bathroom and the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. A small bar fridge was in the room and safe. No air conditioning but a fan was provided. Be aware that there is no lift, and lots of stairs. My room was on the top floor and there were 80 steps to get there up increasingly narrow staircases. This hotel is not suitable if you have mobility issues / can’t manage stairs. There are several banks and ATM’s around the hotel, a pharmacy opposite, and several small eateries adjacent / nearby and plenty more around the station itself. About a 5 - 8 minute walk to the museums. Buses and taxis in the street behind hotel.

Location was excellent”
It was only a 2 minute walk from the subway station which was great for our trips into all the tourist stuff. No elevator so it was a bit tough with luggage, baby and stroller. Nice room. Small by US standards, but good by European city standards. Friendly staff.

Excellent”
Twin mattresses ("Natural Choice", made by "hotelcontractbeds.co.uk") excellent and VERY comfortable, better even than at home! Shower-room well-tiled and shower-pressure excellent. Water hot second day, almost too hot at times, though just warm on first morning. Internal room was always quiet and peaceful. TV channel selection could be better [e.g. no BBC] and TV antenna cable socket could be improved. Carpet could perhaps be cleaner. Would certainly stay at Brompton again, if same room at lowest elevation possible.

Family gathering successful”
Checked in, no problem, didn't expect to have id copied and a credit card taken but it happened. Staff friendly enough, Bathroom tiny, bedroom functional and comfortable. Sheets very clean. Towels provided also spotless. Staff on check out very good. Amazingly, they even responded when my wife definitely left her expensive AirPods earphones in the room but unfortunately, they were not located, not the fault of the hotel. Would book again as I was delighted with the location, price and functionality.

Disappointing”
The Brompton looked reasonable from the outside and the staff allowed us early access to a warm room . the bed was clean and comfortable. Clean towels were supplied on both nights that we stayed. Hot water for the shower was not always available and a small hand basin in a small en-suite meant that shaving and filling the complimentary drinks jug was difficult. The TV. provided one channel with no news.

Above average”
Not particularly friendly receptionist. Offered no maps or suggest for dinner or breakfast. The balcony door did not shut properly so could not be locked or keep out the traffic noise

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired”
Pros: Good central location, mini fridge, decent sized room, near lots of cafès and restaurants Cons: Poor customer service, you have to hand in your room key everytime you leave the hotel and when you come back there may be no one on reception to give you your key back for some time, unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Terrible Experience”
I have never have such horrible experience during my journeys. We checked in at weekends that some guy opened my room's door with key at midnight on the fist day we checked in. The next morning, I have told it to the reception and have been responded that they would check CCTV and give me an explanation on the first workday. But after two days waiting, no one actively gave us explanation at all. We have had to ask for the reception again. But this time, the staff was directly deny it without providing any evidence. It is a very horrible thing to imagin what would happen when you had fallen asleep some guy would enter in your room! To make us more angried is the irresponsible attitude of the staff and the hotel! We would never choose it and kindly give our advice to other travellers not to choose it which with badly frastructures.

amazing hotel, perfect location”
I loved my stay at the brompton hotel. The area is extremely nice. The rooms were clean and we had breakfast delivered to the room for free every day. The train station that takes you to all the main london attractions is directly across the street. Only downside is no elevator, which might be problematic for some. But this hotel was the best priced hotel I found in london. It is a few blocks from kensington palace and the victoria and albert museum. There are nice restaurants down the street and the hotel gives you a discount pass to use at most of them.

Friendly and Convenient”
Only a couple of minutes from South Kensington Tube Station The Bromton is in a perfect location. Straight in on the Underground from Heathrow on the Piccadilly Line and thereafter an easy hub for whatever you need to do in London. For the tourist, the hotel is perfect for visiting the Museums and Knightsbridge, Hyde Park and other sites. For the business traveler it offers a good base with reasonable facilities (Sat TV, tea and coffee, on suite). Breakfast is basic but delivered to your room on a tray and came exactly at the time requested - tea and toast. I would be happy to return. Staff were very friendly and helpful - let me check in a little early and also looked after my bag for a few hours after check-out.

excellent loction, low price”
Clean room and excellent location, very near (about 60 meters)to South Kensington tube station and not far (a few stops in the tube) from Victoria Coach station. As i wanted to do some shopping at Harrods and also be close to Victoria coach station where my coach would have arrived from Stanstead airport, this place was just perfect! The hotel generally exceeded my expectations, considering its low price. Just two small things could have been better: The breakfast is a bit poor (just 2 slices of toasted bread, one small hard boiled egg, butter and jam tea and a small glass of orange juice)and it was delivered to my room perfectly on time, but just left on the floor outside my door.It would have been nicer to have more choice in the kind of eggs (scramble, fried...)and if they had waited for me to open the door to give me the tray, instead of leaving it on the floor. Th other thing is the safe. My safe was locked when I checked in and I asked to open it . Unfortunately the manager, who only could open it , was not there when I checked in in the evening and I was told he would come in the morning. The following morning the safe was not opened during turn down, nor was i given any explanation...Aside from these 2 small things, I was happy with my stay and I would recommend it to other people

Great and hotel location was fantastic.”
The Brompton Hotel is very central to all amenities and transportation. The Brompton is not suited to children or the infirm as there are no lifts. The Bar is very expensive for drinks. I would recommend the hotel for a short stay.

Easy to get around”
I needed a hotel for a few days while in London and found this hotel to be perfectly located as is was just a short walk to a tube station and even shorter to a bus route. I found the rooms to be small but the rooms were clean and in good repair, and to be honest I spent most of the time out exploring London so I did not notice the size. The choice of food wasn't that great but there are plenty of cafes/delis nearby. The service was good and friendly.

The room rate is the only attraction”
Sometimes a low price is not worth it but I had to travel to London with my daughter for six days on short notice to attend to a family matter. When I booked this hotel I knew there were no lifts but the room rates were very affordable in London terms — my room's condition was no where near the three stars it was advertised at. The room had old, stained bedding and carpets, electrical outlets and lighting fixture that didn't work, a fan that only partially worked, a shower door held together with duct tape and a continental breakfast that was missed on my first morning and half a breakfast served on the second. The worst part of my stay was the cockroaches I had to exterminate without letting my daughter know as this would make her upset. This hotel cleanliness is suspect — the front desk staff was friendly but not enough for me to ever come back to stay. My hard earn money deserves a better — I feel if this hotel is still offered on your site please advise potential renters that this is more of a 1.5 star hotel. To be fair this hotel's location is excellent for the Tube and bus service, which is the reason I chose it. There are lots of restaurants close by, short walking distance to Hyde Park, Kings St. and Harrods shopping and the neighbourhood has a safe feeling for visitors who are not familiar with London.

Great location but small room and bathroom”
The location is terrific. It's one minute away from South Kensington tube station; surrounded by shops and restaurants but not noisy (at least not in winter). Though small, the rooms and bathroom are spotlessly clean with amenities such as fridge, kettle and hairdryer. There's no lift, however, but the nice receptionist helped me with my suitcase up the stairway. Breakfast is served in your room: coffee/tea, egg and toast.
