I was a Dad with 2 boys that only had a night to spend at Guimaras. It was a very good decision that we spent it at The Clara Beach. It had a clean beach to swim in , a kids pool in front of the rooms and lounge area, really good food, board games, a motorbike to rent and roam aropund the Island, a noce lounge area, a barbecue roasting place for fresh fish that you can buy from fixhermen in the morning, And of course the very hospitable and nice people that ran and owned the place. That was all we really needed and more to make 3 of us pretty satisfied with our one noght stay. We wd have stayd more if we had time. For travelers bit of details for this trip- *** Beach front was mangrove to the left and clean clear area to the right. Beige and grey sand but really clean and non rocky on the right side. The mangraoves was beatiful giving my kids a feeling it was a remote pirate haven where they buried treasure. *** food had a lot of variety, I tried the super burger and the 40 cloves chicken( that was gd for 3 of us), the simple vanilla ice cream with extra heavy cream and licorice chips , and the banana shekes the the kids had several of,and all of them were good and very deligjhtful, You can find the menu with the price at the clara beach website/***the room was a cozy native hut made of bamboo and nipa which completes the nature experience yet comofotable. We got the one w the private bathroom. which had Good water was clean. Thank you owners for being very nice to the kids and even giving them your home made pie and shakes for free to welcome us!

Must Visit, Best for a Silent Retreat”
I booked with The Clara Beach because I was intrigued by its exceptional ratings. If you're coming from Bacolod, the best way to go here is via Pulupandan, but their ferry schedule is quite erratic so I couldn't really recommend that route. In the end, I just took the Bacolod-Iloilo-Jordan, Guimaras route going here. I was already beat by the time I got to the resort, but much to my surprise, Bena (one of the owners) graciously offered to upgrade my accommodation. And I absolutely loved the room they gave me (an entire cottage with its own bathroom). It was much more spacious than the room that I initially booked with them so if you have some cash to spare, better get this one instead. Bena and her staff (especially Syrus) are very warm and accommodating. They are very hands on with their guests; Syrus even helped me book a land tour. The place is very secluded and located far from the island's swimming beaches, but if you're looking for some quiet time, this place is perfect for you. And while there isn't much to do here, the food here is superb (most especially their Thai curry selection) and absolutely worth the long travel going here. I'd strongly recommend this place to any person planning to visit Guimaras.

Fantastic getaway from the city”
The Clara Beach is probably the best deal you can get in San Lorenzo, Guimaras. It is situated a little far from the capital which gives you peace and quiet throughout the stay. The beachfront is amazing!

Best stay in the Philippines!”
The Clara Beach was definitely the best accommodation we had during our 2 months stay in the Philippines. We were welcomed so warm and kind from the first second and felt so comfortable in this lovely small Hotel. The room was clean and new and nice furnitured with everything you need. At night you hear the waves and the sounds of nature and feel the fresh breeze of the wind (you actually won't need an AC!). The Clara Beach is located between small local villages and a little bit far from everything. But nevermind, you get almost everything you want: perfect and delicious food, nice pool and hammocks for relaxation, games, music and smalltalk with the more than friendly staff and owners but also the privacy you need. The staff also fulfill your wishes the best they can, if it is transport, motorbike rental, tours and so on. So if you look for a quiet but incredibly nice place away from touristic and crowdy areas, this is it!!!

Perfect place to relax”
Clara Beach is the most beautiful resort you can stay at for their reasonable pricing. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating, the food is the best we've tasted so far in the Philippines, the place is spotless and very beautiful. It is simply perfect to relax. It's hard to get around the island if you don't want to drive a motorcycle or hire a private car and driver, but they can arrange both. The beach is great for long walks and sunset watching. A previous reviewer complained about the ants: there were some on the terrace, but it is completely normal when you are surrounded by nature like here. It was just wonderful to hear the waves at night - no karaoke at all during our stay. Wifi was coming and going, but still okay compared to many other resorts.

Fantastic place”
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at The Clara Beach, we planned to stay 2 nights and in the end we stayed 3 nights. It is located on a very quite part of the island, so there are no other resorts, restaurants or shops nearby, so if you want't to go somewhere you need a motorbike. They offer a boat trip to a small island (which is really small) and you can stay there for a couple of ours on your own - we really enjoyed this experience. The pool is very nice and you have a lot of places to relax, at the beach you have mangrove trees, so it is not so nice for swimming, but it is a nice walk along the beach and you are nearly on your own. Once for dinner we had fish, which was really delicious and also all the other meals we had were fantastic, so there is no need to look for some restaurants, and the price is good.

A good place to unwind”
It was a really nice cap after a long tour. At the end of the day all you want is to have a good dinner and a nice peaceful night and this is what The Clara Beach offers. The food is soooo good. The ambiance is just so right for the moment. I wasn't able to try the beach, though there were some who seemed to enjoy it. It's not a "wow" kind of beach but the sand is yellow and the water looked nice. The location though is quite far from the wharf, but then again, in this island, what isn't? Definitely recommends this place!!!

Great stay in Guimaras ”
Bena and Frank are a lovely couple and have build a great place to stay. You can view the sunrise from your bed in the cottage. Since their place is a little remote, you'll need a motorbike to get around. And guess: the Clara Beach does offer both a scooter and a motorbike, both in superb condition. Don't waste your time searching and negotiating somewhere else. Mileage is low and everything is working without any hassle. Last but not least: the kitchen was superb! Frank is a great cook, and every meal I tried was really delicious. Just go and check out for yourself.

A prefect place to get away from it all”
The Clara beach resort is located right next to a lovely beach, it's a peaceful place to unwind, Frank and his staff go out of their way to look after you and help you make your stay enjoyable, there is a selection of rooms from basic huts to a two storey chalet with stunning views over the bay, the food here is home cooked and delicious, it would be easy to spend a lot of time here.

Such nice staff and a beautiful location”
Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful stay at Clara's! The staff is super nice and attentative. Were originally staying there for one night, but managed to book one more night with no hassle, seeing that they had a room available. The rooms are simplistic and in an "open" bungalow standard, in a good way, but you so get in touch with nature! It's remote, so if you're looking for a place to relax and unplug, this is it! But if you want happenings, people and restaurants, then this is not the place for you. They serve really good homemade food here and the prices aren't bad considering. Also be sure to say hi to the two dogs/puppies living at the hotel, Brownie and Clear. Definetley recommend this place, thank you for a very pleasent stay,

This place is very new and started not a long time ago. The owners and their staff are very nice. Very humble person. Both of 'em. She's more the front person. he acts in the back. Our kid(2)went to church to a christmas party with their daughter(4), which was so n1. Escorted by her mam. In general u need to know: perfect place to relax, if u look for a awesome beach u r wrong. Is quite abroad, but they organise tricycle, food is expensive, but it's worth the price. They do a really good job. A lot of details making this place special. Woody and lovely. Around u is not much. U cannot go somewhere just like that. I can say for 2 nights I enjoyed so much doing nothing for a wile.

The place is very homey and comfortable!! The beach was not very nice since the hotel is located in the part of the beach in front of man grove. The place is very relaxing and room is so clean! The food is prepared by owner himself and are very delicious!! I also met the wife of owner and they are all so nice. I recommend this hotel if you just want some rest and relaxation,

Wonderful place but not the beach area ”
It is quite far from to reach from san miguel drop off of jeepney, have to use habal-habal. Cannot go out at night, far away from any establishment but their own food is superb and price just right for the big servings and nice quality. The owners are there and very accomodating. The staff are excellent. Overall, if u really want to relax quietly, this is the perfect place.

Convenient and Great Place”
Pros: near tumanda wharf if you want to go to bacolod and they will make a book reservation, great for soul searching, great staff and accommodation is superb! Beautiful place too. Well spent night and they have free shake if you'll check in !! Cons: far from city, the road is not good, not cons but a reminder. BRING INSECT AND MOSQUITO REPELLENT. I had a great stay here. I will surely recommend this place to my friends if they will visit in Guimaras. Thank you for your accommodation.

If you want a quiet location, you should resort to this place. Ambiance is great especially with the hut-inspired room. I stayed in a room with shared bathroom. Bathroom sharing is not a problem since by that time of my stay, I'm the only one who is using it. There were just some minor problems in the lightbulb for I had the difficulty of turning it on everytime I used the bathroom. Luckily, Vena, the owner is pretty much willing to help. The food is worth the price. I was informed already that the place is really far from the port. Hence, if you really want this place, you should be patient during the ride. No worries, along the way, you will be amazed of the green sceneries.

Relaxing Stay”
Place is great and peaceful. This is a place if you want to relax, beach is not white sand but the shore plus the quiet place will make you calm and forget the hustle & bustle of Metro. A must stay for those who want to chill, eat or drink with great music and talk with friends. Great food, value for money. Pool is ok to use anytime of the day. We had couple of bottles of alcohol while relaxing our body in the pool
