Located in Cai Be, a river town along the Mekong River, The Durian Lodge at Mekong offers a contemporary Vietnamese fusion cuisine restaurant, operated by chef Loan Nguyen. The lodge has a variety of accommodation types for varying needs. The lodge is about 150 metres from the famous Cai Be Floating Market. It is a 1.5-hour drive from Can Tho Airport. Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) is a 2.5-hour drive away, with hotel shuttle services available at a surcharge. All accommodations are air-conditioned and provide guests with a patio and seating area. The rooms feature windows that look out into the garden and/or a durian tree plantation. The en suite bathrooms come equipped with a shower. Other facilities offered at the property include gratuitous grocery deliveries and a tour desk. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, such as boat touring, cycling, attending Vietnamese cooking classes and fishing your own catch-of-the-day. The property offers free parking. It also offers chargeable chauffeured cars-for-hire.

Lovely Retreat From Saigon”
We enjoyed 3 nice nights at this quiet Mekong abode. The bed was ultra comfortable and we also liked the partially outdoor bathroom. Food is decent and they sell Corona and Peroni beer at a fair price. Soon the place will have a small spa so that will add to the overall experience. My only real suggestion is more artwork and decor in the rooms. They are perfectly comfortable and functional, just a bit Spartan.

Fue perfecta para conocer realmente como se vive en el delta del Mekong, pero lo mejor fue el poder desconectarnos de las preocupaciones habituales y normales del viaje para vivir como si estuvieramos en nuestro hogar. Pasear en las bicicleta que te presta el hotel por la zona del delta o por Cái Bè, salir a pescar durante la tarde, contratar paseos en lancha por el rio, hacer curso de cocina vietnamita, etc. son todas actividades que disfrutamos mucho. Obviamente que esto se consigue debido a la inmejorable atención de Loan, la responsable del hotel, que se encarga de todo, desde hacerte de comer y asesorarte en como utilizar el tiempo de estadia, a en general solucionarte todos los inconvenientes o dudas que puedas tener. Como el lugar en donde se encuentra está a cierta distancia de Cái Bè (Tiền Giang) que es precisamente el encanto que tiene el hotel, es conveniente comunicarse con el hotel antes de arribar a Cái Bè, y ellos te indicaran que es lo que tienes que hacer, donde tienes que bajarte si viajas en autobus, e ir a buscarte para llevarte al hotel.- Repetiremos nuestra estadia en ese hotel, el próximo año cuando volvamos a visitar Vietnam, por el entorno, por la atencion recibida, por lo bien que lo pasamos, y por la excelente relación calidad/precio. Mi opinión es favorable en todo sentido y aconsejaria a visitarlo.-

Nous avons passé 2 jours fantastiques dans cet hôtel. Tout était parfait: l'accueil, les chambres, la cuisine préparée avec soin, le prêt des vélos... et surtout, on a apprécié les matelas bien confortables, un vrai luxe comparé à ceux de beaucoup de guesthouses au Vietnam.

De Durian Lodge is niet gemakkelijk te bereiken (alleen per motobike/fiets), maar Ms Loan en haar personeel regelen het vervoer perfect. De lodge is erg mooi, leuke bungalows met een buiten-badkamer en het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten is heerlijk! De omgeving is op de fiets goed te verkennen. Kortom, erg aan te bevelen.

Phòng lưu trú nằm trong khu vườn sầu riêng ở khu dân cư địa phương cạnh bờ sông nên không khí rất thoáng mát, nội thất rộng rãi và đầy đủ tiện nghi được trang trí theo phong cách tối giản. Chị chủ nhà rất hiếu khách luôn hướng dẫn và sẵn lòng hỗ trợ khách khi cần...sẽ quay lại lần sau!

Великолепное место. Правда добираться самим нереально. Мы заказывали трансфер из Хошимина. Очень гостеприимная хозяйка Лоан. Любой каприз тут же выполнялся. Вкусная еда. Отличная кровать. Непривычно, что отсутствуют стекла в окне и санузел частично без крыши, но для Вьетнама это нормально. Можно взять велосипеды для осмотра окрестностей. Все экскурсии заказывали у Лоан. На рынок Кайбе она сама ездила с нами, все показывала и рассказывала. Из минусов это плохой Wi-Fi, только на ресепшене более или менее.
