Best value for money”
Stayed at this hostel for 4 nights and immediately fell in love with its industrial aesthetics. The bed was comfortable, and we each had our own lamp and 2 outlets to charge our devices. There’s a locker under your bed to store your bags/things, but there’s more than enough space in the room (at least in Dorm C) to keep your things out. The communal toilet and shower area had enough cubicles for everyone that you didn’t have to wait in line. Do take note, though, that only 1 shower cubicle has water heater and it’s in the first floor. There’s also an area with clotheslines where you can hang your clothes and beach towels to dry. Staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful. If you’re not sure on what to do or where to go during your stay, just ask one of the receptionists and they’ll help you out. Just a couple of notes: - some doors are squeaky - no place to hang your towel in the room (maybe put a towel rod at the foot of the bed?) - add curtains for each bed

Second time to stay in Flying Fish and would still choose this hostel if ever I will come back to Dumaguete. The rustic interior is just 😍. Also, staff are all good. Their bathrooms and CRs, despite being shared to all backpackers who are checked in for their bunk beds, are always clean. They also offer tours and have acoustic nights every Friday and Saturday. Would recommend the Friday noughts since Arnold Christopher is the artist. He is a good local singer. Heard him last year and still in awe with his calm voice.

If you are looking for a place that is away from the city bustle, that is clean and affordable, then the place is perfect for you as well. I like how the atmosphere feels like I'm back home in my papa's hometown province. Very serene. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. What more can I ask for. One of my favorite places to stay here in Dumaguete.

Definitely will recommend specially for couple like us. We enjoyed our stay. The staff we're friendly and approachable. The manager is so kind that they let us extend our stay because we didn't used our first night stay due to inclement weather. We experienced power outage during our stay but they have back up generator. Kudos to the team. Thank you for making our stay at dumaguete comfortable and memorable.

The room was very spacious. The staff was kind and accommodating regardin our requests. There are also transportation services available. I would especially like to recommend Kuya Guyz (+63 935 740 4185). He will tell you a lot of tips and recommend places you should visit. We also availed the Manjuyod/Dolphin Watching tour, and it was worth it. A bit pricey but still worth it. The food was good as well!! Overall, it was a good stay. We would definitely stay here if we have the chance to come back.

Always a great time here at flying fish. Thanks to the staff for being so helpful and accommodating. Their staff are very thoughtful and they really care after your welfare. I mean, they’d give recommendations where to eat and such. That’s not part of their job, that’s great customer service and love the warm hospitality. They also let us leave our bags after we check out, so we don’t have to carry around a big backpack around duma. Thank you! Hope to stay here again on my next visit.

Really recommend this place. They keep their rooms and Toilet clean. The best dorm type I have been into. Especially common toilets, though there's no heater if it's rainy season water gets a little colder.

This is a great place to stay and crash if you plan on visiting Dumaguete. It is a boutique hostel with decent facilities and wonderful staff. They also have a restobar in the area and an acoustic night to just enjoy and relax. Worth every penny!

Two things that impressed me-- 1) I booked a wrong room (mixed), and my request to alter it into an all-female room was granted. 2) We arrived 3 hours earlier than the official booking hour, and still they allowed us to check-in. It was a nice stay :) The staff will greet you with a smile every time they see you go out from your room or you enter the gate. The beds are clean. The only "struggle" I had was there was no full-size mirror. But overall, this is hostel is quite nice.

My Go-To Place to Stay in Dumaguete”
I've stayed in two of their dormitories and they were totally worth it--big, comfortable beds in big, spacious rooms. Loved having their own tricycle as an option for airport pick-ups and drop-offs. I do hope they work on three things: fixing their wifi connectivity at the lobby, the water pressure of the showers, and the presence of mosquitos in the common areas. So far though, still pretty satisfied and this has become my go-to place to stay in Dumaguete when I visit several times a year.

This is a great hostel in a central location, which is close to restaurants and a 15 min walk to the shops. It is beautifully designed and has a lovely restaurant. In addition, the staff are absolutely lovely!

As a solo traveler, I always look for cheap yet very unique place. Seeing flying fish hostel for the first time in Agoda, I was literally hooked up. From the price, down to their interior, I was so amazed! They just need to improve their water supply. That's it. Everything is great! I will still recommend this Hostel to my friends and colleagues from Manila. (99/100) Special thanks to Michelle, and Nathan for your assistance and for my Banana Split as their Birthday Gift :) Btw, I stayed here for total of 9 days and 8 nights (6 bed dorms).
