The Funny Lion was our home in Coron for 5 days. My favorite thing is the service! The best kind of service is being able to anticipate the guests' need and they did it exceptionally well! They arranged and upgraded our rooms near the pool side area as we have kids with us. Water was served when we were lounging at the pool without even asking for it. Towels are already prepared by the pool. A little nudge on the start of the Happy Hour was given when the staff learned we were excited for Happy Hour to start. When we went on day tours from an external tour company, they prepared us some towels in tote bags. My sister asked for the breakfast to be packed since our day tour starts at around 7:30 AM as her kids won’t have time to eat in the hotel. They not only packed it ala take-out food but they put it in a cute rattan backpack which is easier to transport! There was even a day we had free champorado when we came back from the day tour. It was among the best service I have ever experienced in a resort. The funny lion team remembered our names and favorite drinks, brought us water to the pool without us even asking, helped us with anything we needed, provided us take out breakfast for our ferry trip in the middle of the night. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. Beautiful pool, jacuzzi with an amazing view of the sunset. It's a beautiful place with good vibes. Would be nice to have more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu and in the breakfast buffet.

The consistency of quality and personalized service is amazing”
I've never stayed in a resort that has the same warmth and quality of service across ALL the team members as the Funny Lion. Everything was so effortlessly perfect - the hotel ambiance, breakfast food, common areas music playlist, welcome amenities (we stayed as part of our honeymoon and didn't expect a wine and a lovely setup with lots of goodies, it was a beautiful surprise), turn-down drinks such as buko pandan juice which they refill everyday, cocktail drinks (try the Maldita), but most noteworthy of all are the people. They not just greet you as you pass by, THEY REALLY GET TO KNOW YOU in a very anticipatory but non-intrusive way. We felt the sincerity and warmth out of everyone's smiles and stories, we loved getting to know them too! It was truly a wonderful experience that went beyond all our expectations and set the bar high for our next trips. We wish we could've stayed longer! Impeccable customer service ”
The staff were very accommodating to our needs. They always made themselves available without question. The king room we stayed in was very spacious and cozy. The breakfast food was generous in serving and delicious. The roof top deck, with jacuzzi, was a great place to hangout, unwind and catch the sunset. Don’t expect to have WiFi in the rooms. We could barely get it by the front desk. If you’re not catching it at all, ask the front desk and they’ll give you the password to another WiFi which is much better. The rooms were very clean, the staff is so thoughtful and is there to help you 24/7. Location is incredible. Less than 5 minutes away from the main road in Coron. We had a really great time here!

Amazing first time in Coron”
It was a great experience to stay at The Funny Lion. The amenities are so complete from the rooms, pool, restaurant, bar, jacuzzi and transportation. Everything looks high class, clean, and in order. But the staff was the best thing about this property. They went above and beyond to meet our needs like providing towels and packed breakfast for our island hopping tours. They really cover everything to make sure you get the most out of your trip to Coron.

Best travel experience, value for your money”
We had the best time at Funny Lion and I'm so glad to have stumbled on this hotel while checking out places to stay in Coron, Palawan. The staff are genuinely sincere, friendly and very helpful. Their facilities and amenities are highly impeccable with a touch of first class but amazingly, their prices are decent and not that high end. I hope they can keep it that way. Bang for a buck indeed. The only downside is they don't have elevators but floors are relatively low- I think 3 floors or so. Seniors should request for low floor. Over all, it was a great memorable experience for our family and would definitely recommend to friends/family. Keep up the excellent service and thanks for our amazing stay!

Pure Bliss and Serenity”
Coron is a beautiful province in totality! Loved all the activities and tourist spots. The Funny Lion Hotel made our trip even more memorable. All the staff, amenities, rooms, and food were all accommodating and with pleasing personality that will surely make you feel at home and uplifted. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here and it definitely did not disappoint. All that you need to feel relaxed and happy can be experienced here. Sunset, happy hour, food trip, swimming, sunbathing, jacuzzi, romantic dinner buffet, breakfast buffet, it's all in this hotel! Love is an understatement to describe what we felt for this hotel. It was pure bliss and serenity!!! Will definitely go back!

Exceptional”
The place is clean, very pleasant staff especially their manager JB, Ryan, Ruby. The staff at the deck bar and hotel restaurant were awesome too. Food pricing is fair and even cheaper instead of eating out in the town. I liked the complimentary pandan and gulaman drinks daily. Despite the bad weather in Coron, our stay in the hotel compensated for it. Will definitely comeback at The Funny Lion and try their other sister companies!

Incredible hotel & staff”
Funny Lion exceeded my expectations. We arrived at the airport and unknown to us, a complementary transfer was waiting to take us to the hotel. The property is located close enough to the main town to be central yet far enough away from the noise of traffic. We had the pride room which staff had kindly decorated to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. Our room was spacious and comfortable with daily replenished refreshments. Facilities were great with a spa, a restaurant with a great food & drinks menu and a nice pool area. The only thing I would say is that it would be even better if they could get sun beds rather than chairs but that’s a small thing. We were in this hotel when the lockdown was announced and have to say that the staff could not have been more helpful. They helped us book tickets off the island, refunded our last night and dropped us off free of charge when we left. Under the circumstances, it was very reassuring to have them looking after us. The amenities were great especially that it’s like in the middle of the jungle. All the staff was very hospitable, kind, and they smile all the time! I also love their buffet breakfast! You know it’s a buffet that’s cooked from the heart because it’s really good, almost like home cooked kind of a food, unlike those greasy food from other five star hotels! I would definitely go back to this hotel for sure!

Impeccable service! The staff went above and beyond expectations. Everyone was very friendly and happy to serve. They have a beautiful pool on the ground floor and a roof deck bar with a spectacular view! Everything is sanitized and health protocols are strictly enforced so you feel safe the whole time. We enjoyed our stay in FUNNY LION coz the staff were so friendly and attentive. They even decorate our room for our special occasion. Special mention to DEL and the girl staff in the restaurant. Food is good even though they are pricey. The outdoor pool and PRIDE DECK is a plus. Highly recommended and we`ll surely would like to stay there again

I was extremely pleased with our stay at the Funny Lion. It was a charming hotel with just the right amenities. The staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodating without being too obtrusive. The small details added to the charm as well, like signature drinks in the room, welcome gifts, prepared towels as we left for the island tours, etc. Will definitely comeback and will highly recommend to anyone!

+ Very well organized hotel + Staff were ALWAYS there to help with anything + Clean rooms and comfy beds + View from the rooftop bar is the best in Coron - Nothing to complain.. If I had to say one negative thing that would be food. Dishes were too small for the price we had to pay. There could be also more choices for breakfast.
