My stay was not very pleasant and will not go back”
Really not very good due to no hot water in morning and a not so good experience with food the night before

Not fit for purpose. AVOID”
It's hard to put into words how bad this place is. Avoid at all costs. Beds were all ripped. Sofa had knife slashes all over it and looked like it had been pulled out of a skip. The draws had been scratched to death by good knows what. The carpet was clean but full of stains and marks and Tv did not work 1 star is very very generous One thing I will say is the staff were very helpful and polite but we did not stay in the room for long. We got a full refund and left as soon as possible.

A little tired”
If you are looking for a reasonably priced room with a bed and en suite facilities then this is right up your alley. Access to major roads is excellent if a little busy. However, the hotel is in need of refurbishment. Cracked porcelain, split veneers etc. Staff were very helpful, though and the hotel does offer an on site restaurant. Gym faciliries are right next door.

Ok for a budget stay”
Stayed 3 nights for a business trip. Good location for Wigan. However, the pictures of the rooms were obviously taken a few years ago. Room looked very tired, a thick layer of dust on the bedpost and on the wall above the bed. It's quite noisy 24/7 as on a main junction, didn't help as the window was broken and would not close fully. Advertised as having a gym and swimming pool, beware these are both closed and as far as I am aware have been since the pandemic. The hotel is non smoking, however my room smelt heavily of cigarettes, as did the corridors. Its OK for 2 or 3 nights as I was purely sleeping there for business. Any longer and I would pay a bit more for somewhere nicer.

Basic”
This hotel is very basic. It suited our needs for an overnight bed and no frills breakfast at reasonable rate.

Recent stay away”
This hotel is ideally located from Manchester the staff on reception were informative and polite, the food I couldn't fault for value and standard, service was spot on. My only criticism is that the rooms furniture looks tired and dated and the shower was very lack ĺuster, bath was excellent 👌, I was in room 302 and throughout the night the fire door was being slammed by a group of young lads racing in the corridor however the security and night staff did attend this matter I think personally they should of been extracted from the premises, however I still feel this is not a reflection on the hotel in general just a few bag eggs, and I have booked again to stay in July, I still got sleep despite this isolated incident.

You get what you pay for ”
Very very basic room, dirty walls/carpet/everything. Smelly, boiling hot room, can’t open windows as the noise of traffic keeps you awake. Tv could only pick up bbc1 and bbc2. Was advised not to use swimming pool (by staff) as it was too cold. Pub was fine for drinks, food was very cheap but again, for a reason as it had no flavour, and 2 of us were up all night with a bad stomach after eating in there. Breakfast is good value for money though! Staff aren’t very chatty, and we were made to feel like a question was too much hassle at times. Sleeping was very hard in such a hot room, people banging on doors and pillows thinner than a pancake.

Disappointing overnight stay”
Arrived on a very hot day and when checked in to room the heating was on! Went to reception to explain the heat was unbearable. She was very kind and swapped us rooms and gave us a fan, only to wake up early in the morning to find the heating on again. Not pleasant at all🥵

AWFUL”
the shower was filthy, the windows do not close, the bed was so soft you sit on it and roll off. The hairdryer should be condemned! The pat testing was last done in 2012 for this, it overheats every 12 seconds. Just an utter shit hole!

Bit rough around the edges”
The whole place is a little tired. For example the hot water took so long to come in the shower that I was just finished when it came! Felt like it was coming from across the road 🤷🏻♂️ It’s cheap enough though so I suppose you shouldn’t expect the Ritz for the money!
