no heating”
I stayed in room 206 at CitySpace Bermondsey. There is no heating in this room. The windows are single glazed meaning the room was noisy from the road outside and cold from the snow that had fallen earlier that day. The floor in the room is tiled providing no warmth unlike a carpet. There isn't a radiator in the group, no air conditioning, not even a towel rail in the very small shower room - no source of heat at all and the room was like an ice-box. I had to sleep in my clothes, including socks to keep warm. And then in the morning the shower ran out of hot water.

If you have to”
But I'd avoid it. No reception or staff present. Dirty laundry in the hallway. Stained carpet, peeling walls. Stifling heat and can't turn it off. Constantly slamming doors from 9-11pm. Can clearly hear showers or toilet above and next door. It's a shame as the bedding is comfortable - and newly renovated bathrooms are lovely.

Clean, small room with shower”
We booked here as it was close to the show we were seeing. Clean, small room which met our needs

Only recommended for the experienced traveller”
City Space is not really a hotel. Its more an appartment rental. There is no in-house staff. My room was just renovated and very good, but some basics were missing, like a glass, a bin. Checking in is a bit difficult, because it all works with codes, both for the main door and the room. The bathroom looked great, but the washbasin was to small to shave, without making the whole bathroom wet. The equipment does not look like professional quality standard, so I am not sure that it will survive more than a few months intensive use. Tower Bridge Road is very busy, so earplugs are essential, to have a good sleep in the excellent bed! The staff I did see was nice and friendly, though. So I might go back, but I would not recommend it to the inexeperienced and demanding traveller.

Really nice hotel”
A really nice, functional hotel room. Rooms aren’t massive but only stayed for 1 night so didn’t really see that as an issue. The room was lovely and modern. Seemed very clean. Was very hot though and we couldn’t work out how to turn the heat off. Besides that I would definitely recommend!
