Paradise in the Delta”
The Island Lodge is a superb getaway, boutique luxury lodge on Thoi Son Island in the Mekong Delta. What we found most impressive about the lodge was the attention to detail, the service and the care the proprietors, Michel and Francoise, provide to the guests. The food is excellent, the staff is very attentive to all of our needs, and the view of the river from the swimming pool makes everything so relaxing. We really enjoyed our two days, two nights at the Island Lodge and highly recommend it for anyone with or without children. It is such a worthwhile getaway from Ho Chi Minh City.

Le Mékong autrement ! Perfect stay in a perfect place !”
At first, I was staying in the 4 th hotel of Ben Tre, truly not international 4* star, but had the worst experience with their private tour to discover the area. I then decided to give up my room and contacted the owner of Island lodge to find me a driver in order to join his place for a night, asking if I could have a chance to really discover nature and day life of the Mekong. What a marvelous change ! Everything was so perfect and I had a chance to have a private 3 h and half tour with Khay, one of his fantastic employee, to finally really discover the area - and for a 1/3 of the price charged by the previous hotel. At Island Lodge, you are treated more as a friend, and from the HUGE perfectly clean pool, to the food, to the room, to the garden, to the bar, to the spa, or the sauna, everything is above expectations ! I tried all ! Everywhere you do look is just beautiful and perfect... I of course then decided to stay more... And will be back again as soon as possible ! There are so many options to discover this part of Vietnam from here ! Thanks to Michel and all his fantastic team ! I am very thankful for all delicate attentions I got from all of you, including Giaó ! This young waitress's dream is to be a photographer one day so just ask her to take picture of you, she will, with her lovely smile, and she is so talented ! Negative point : just fear I won 3 more kilos with the Chief specialties ! Well, it is my fault as all is delicious... Merci encore à vous, cher Michel, d'avoir rattrapé in extremis mon séjour dans le Mékong et d'en avoir fait un rêve !

Amazing and peaceful hotel near Ho Chi Minh ”
Our trip was perfect at Island Lodge. It is the place to go to have a break and avoid the noise of the city at only 1H30 from HCMC by car. The 1st moment we arrived in My Tho we were welcomed by the owner who came himself to pick us from the bus station. The swimming-pool is very relaxing with the beautiful view on Mekong river. Then the restaurant is good quality with both Vietnamese and french food, everything is excellent and I particularly enjoyed the large choice for breakfast ! I highly recommend the Island Lodge hotel to have a privileged moment and relaxing trip while discovering the beauty of Mekong Delta.

Simply Relaxation and Self Retreat”
For the Tet Holidays I wanted to go out of town to a place where I can simply relax. One that will give me adventure, relaxation and serenity as part of my self- retreat. It was my first time to go to this area alone by public transport; I was a bit scared, but the staff had guided me and gave me the confidence, the adventure I was looking for. What first caught my attention upon arrival was the view, and the hospitality. Upon reaching my room, I immediately knew, perfect; and it was. I got what I wanted, and even more; relaxation, time to ponder, time to plan, adventure and fun. My friend had suggested The Island Lodge, and I do not regret choosing it and will definitely go back. Fabulous luxury escape from hectic Vietnam ”
Absolutely loved the Island Lodge. It is more expensive than many Vietnam hotels, but still very reasonable compared to prices in other countries. Anyway, it is worth every penny. It is a small boutique hotel. We were there in the rainy season and it was so quiet that the staff outnumbered the guests by far. We were spoilt and pampered by everyone and nothing was too much trouble. Michel and Francoise, the owners, welcomed us personally and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms are comfortable. The pool area, bar, restaurant and gardens are all open plan and there are many areas to escape, with seating dotted around the complex. We sat under a huge gazebo in the garden on our first full day, while it rained heavily. It was quiet and beautiful and gave us a chance to stop and relax and unwind. The spa was great and I had a lovely massage, pedicure and manicure. The food was lovely, always served with a selection of delicious bread and an amuse bouche. Breakfasts were as big as you wanted. Everything served at an unrushed pace by smiling staff. Just go and unwind and slow down. It's a treat and I'll definitely go back if I come to Vietnam.

Exceptional”
This is a lovely little lodge hidden away in a beautiful spot facing the river. We only stayed one night but really enjoyed the facilities and view from our balcony. The staff are very courteous and professional and take great care serving guests. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and enjoyed delicious French and local cuisine. The food was excellent. We especially liked the idea of a breakfast menu to limit waste that often occurs with buffetes. My only complaint is that the bathroom was a little dark but that’s a minor thing! Overall a short but very pleasant stay. Thank you.

Glorious, welcoming, hidden, shame about the kids though”
Everything - and I mean ev-er-y-thing about this place is sublime. There are very few rooms, which means it's quite private. The pool is lovely, the grounds are well-maintained and peaceful. The food is just fine, and there's even a vegetarian menu. The only less-than-perfect part of our stay was the loud family with three children under the age of 5 that we shared the resort with for two days. I think it's wonderful that people with children get the chance to take holidays together, but in my opinion this resort is not for children - while the family was checking in the little boy, who had been running round the lobby, slipped and fell into the fish pond. Between the screaming baby, hollering toddlers, pool-side nappy changes, and sibling squabbles, it was a mood-killer. I'm not saying children shouldn't go on weekend holidays, but parents, please choose your venue wisely.

We loved our stay!”
We stayed 2 nights with our two boys (1 and 3 years old). We had a really relaxed time, the hotel is charming, facilities are great and view on the river is nice. We enjoyed the pool and kids loved to play in the garden. Owners and staffs are lovely and very helpful. Restaurant is good and that's important because there are not many other options as the hotel is quite isolated. Maybe a couple of comments, a small fridge would be nice in the room (it's always useful with babies/kids...) and, as it was really really hot, we would have enjoyed standing fans in the restaurant.

A small beautiful quiet resort”
This resort is small at only 12 rooms, but the resort is large in size, providing ample space for privacy and quiet reflection. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with many places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. We occupied a garden view cottage, which is larger than the riverside rooms, and more private -- great for couples on a romantic outing from the city. I consider this to be at least a 4-star resort even though it is not currently rated, and has 5-star service. The staff and the owning couple are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this resort for all travellers, but especially for couples looking for an easy get-away from the city.

Paradise Island”
The property is lovely and is ideal for a peaceful and serene get-away. It would be perfect for a honeymoon because it's mostly quiet and there's only 12 rooms so you get personal attention. The food is the best hotel food, bar none and the staff is extremely attentive to your every need.

Perfect place in the Delta for a few days! 5 stars!”
The very nice French couple running the place is very dedicated to their place with warmth, a sense for details, a positive attitude towards their staff members and extremely client oriented. Breakfast is brilliant, we stayed in the garden rooms without direct view but liked the garden view and would definitively come back! Ask for the vegetarian menu if needed, there is one, too.

Amazing property, rooms were authentic but modern and clean, waterfront to the Mekong, staff were extremely helpful and had great customer service skills, make sure you eat at the restaurant the food was delicious, the owners greeted us on arrival they live at the resort.

"Almost Paradise”
The hotel is new and really attractive. It has a French colonial theme to it which is refreshing. For little kids the balconies are dangerous because the rail is easy to get past. The rooms are not very sound proof but they are attractive. The shower plumbing did not work well In all three of the rooms our party rented. The food was really good but the service was frustrating because the ordered items did not come in a coordinated way....one person would get their main and their partner would get their main 20 or 30 minutes later. This happened at every meal we had and it did not matter what was ordered...two people could order the same thing at the same time and receive their meals 20 minutes apart. The site is purposely isolated and nicely kept.

Peace and quiet with great staff”
Came for a quick getaway for peace and quiet from Saigon and was very satisfied. Staff great with attentive service, pool and rooms spacious with great views. Recommend River view for views of Mekong in lieu of garden (though Garden suites more private). Food was impressive as isolated locations can produce odd western dishes or sub standard meals- but everything was delicious. Will be back.
