A Diamond ”
This is the best resort I have been in Cherating. They have set an unbeatable standard to other 5 stars resorts. The owner, Hijas Kasturi is a team player in architectural world. I was blessed to be staying here, in a wonderful suite right in front of the beach. Every little touch they prepare for us made us feel very welcomed. The personalised letter, the welcoming drink, the fruit basket of tropical fruits made us touched our heart. The bed was very huge and comfortable, the living area was perfect with modern-traditional fusion that reflects the great mastermind of the designer. The big glass wall allowed sunlight to enter our suite and the view was majestic. They prepared us our own coffee machine at the small pantry. All amenities provided were of high class. The bathroom was very clean with clear window direct to the blue sea. The staffs were very friendly and courteous. I am going to be a regular here.

My family and I immediately fell in love with this hotel soon after we pass through the hotel security gate. The hotel workers were very polite and helpful. The staff welcomed you from the parking lot to pick up your belongings and bring the family directly to your room using a buggy. Another buggy carried only the PIC of the family to a super simple check in phase. Check in process and the procedure was super easy. Soon after we got into the villa, we instantly decided that this hotel could definitely be our annual family gathering place. We love every inch of the hotel. This hotel was built by considering each of the members of the family, including the handicap family. My nieces and nephews love the pool a lot. The mothers of the family love the fact that this villa provided a kitchen to serve family food (we packed home-cooked food and brought air fryer to heat up the food, no microwave provided, dads loved the coffee machine provided in every room in the villa). If I had to point out the mistake, I would prefer if the staff need to complain/communicate about anything with the family, I would appreciate if the staff only communicate/call the PIC of the family only. Please don't just randomly complain to any family member, because they just drove hundreds of kilometers to your hotel with the anticipation of going to the holidays and meeting the family members, but unexpectedly disappointed with a complaint from the staff due to a misunderstanding. But shortly after that, everything was sorted out with a good note. We decided to pick this hotel 2 days before the check in date after cancelled a booking at another hotel. We were so glad we made this decision. Thanks so much the Kasturi for the great memories.

Great place for family holiday”
We booked the beach front resorts for our family holiday. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The setup was great and the staff were very accommodating. The beach was nice and secluded and they had placed boulders so it was safe enough for young kids to play in the seawater. The staff at the restaurant went out of their way to assist us in what we needed. Room service was a bit slow but it was easy enough to head to the restaurant for the meal. Good breakfast selection and we had the bbq by the beach which gave a nice ambience and selected of food. All in all it was a good and comfortable stay which we enjoyed and would return.

Intimate service”
They have only 23 accommodation units here which explains why they are sold out almost all the time. All head personnels know you and your room number. They welcome you at the parking bay and walk you to the lobby. Buggy is heavily used here. But you can always opt for bicycle or even cycle the trishaw yourself. I had the beach front villa but sadly beach is not within the visibility of the eye. Sea view villa would best describe all the beach front rooms. To get to the beach will require you to climb over the long line of tall stacking gigantic rocks. And the beach is not kids friendly as it is rather steep. Playing sand castle etc wouldn't be something that you can do here. Expect to be greeted with spectacular room with enormous bathroom with two shower areas. I enjoyed the outdoor shower space the most as it opens up to the sky with plants and tree surrounding you. Overall it's a memorable stay here and I would definitely come back again. Hope you'll enjoy your stay here too.

What do I like about the Kasturi? 1. The view and sounds of the South China Sea - heals everything. Walk the beach. Feel how small you are. Gives a fresh perspective everytime 2. The room - furnishings, decor, the complimentary f&b. Just chill. Pack a bag of books & munch the peanuts. Just be careful of the occasional simian visitor 3. The environment - yes! Trees ARE cooling and calming. So very good for you & everyone else. Listen to their silence 4. The staff are friendly, helpful, well-trained 5. The resort - has all the touches of one of Malaysia’s best-known architects. Check them out 6. The facilities - are all there .... swimming pool, spa, gym. Private villas have own pools & lots of privacy 7. The F&B is befitting of the resort and surprisingly not too expensive

Good for family”
Initially I booked a corner studio however in view of I have few small children I was not allowed to stay in the corner studio. I had to upgraded to other room/ villa to accommodate me and my family. This is a bit up setting for me as I was not informed about this during my booking online and I had to await for more than 1 hour before I can go to my villa/ room as they need to do room service. Overall the stay was very comfortable and luxurious. Thank you for the staffs who help me during my stay. You know who you are.

Wonderful Place ”
We had a really good time during our stay here. Should have booked for more nights. The staffs are friendly and attentive, thank you to Ema for the hospitality.. many activities can be carried out here... but just staying in the room, enjoying the pool is also perfect... the family villa is huge, and clean... the whole place is just perfect for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city...

All the staffs are superb friendly, helpful, professional! Hotel is very nice and clean, truely peace in mind staying there 4D3N! Hotel restaurant is very affordable, my whole family of 6 adults + 1 child had a wonderful fine dinner! Breakfast is very delicious too, if not much occupancy they provide ala carte order which is really good experience! Truely highly recommended for people wanna relax!

Honestly it is very relaxing to be here and I did not regret my decision. The place was very nice and clean, the staffs were helpful. The place is very quiet and calm, at first I thought we were the only ones there but surprisingly the staffs said the rooms were fully booked. At its best”
It was a 3D2N stay and due to MCO, we decided to enjoy a short trip to Cherating. From the arrival until check out, all was superb. Breakfast was served at room - only few guest, maybe not worth to open their cafe - but we can order food without limit. Room and pool are clean. Few steps away from the beach. Hotel staffs are really helpful. I hope to come again in the near future.

From the entrance we didnt expect the beach resort to be huge and beautiful! Love the tranquility of the mothers nature at the place. For those who love beach, pool and the natural forest. This is the awesome place to choose. Staff, facility, cleanliness all maintained. Just don't left food outside the villa since the monkeys will share your food too. Nice beach and you can enjoy the sunrise by your villa or the beach. Easy access to the private beach and shower was provided before entering the villa. Beach activities such as playing the kite and volleyball beach will be an added value. Open shower was stunning. Shower with nature concepts and they provide with tanamera. Just to be improve on the breakfast menu. Limited menu and the chef need to be more friendly. Range of menu need to be upgraded. The breakfast is not value for money and also limited space. We need to wait almost 15 minutes to have a breakfast. Baby chair also need to add more since only 2 baby chair provided Overall is awesome just for the breakfast and the chef

Outstanding Villa and Service”
Our stay at the Kasturi was beyond amazing. The villa was exceptionally clean and well furnished, the private pool was great. What topped it off was the immaculate service by the staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I would 1000% be staying here again if I visit cherating and I’d recommend anybody whose visiting cherating to stay here.

Escape to this luxurious retreat nestled between centuries old rainforest and the glistening calm of South China Sea. This resort offers elegant pool villas with direct access to the beach and a spectacular sunrise vista. From lavish villas to the excellent services, facilities and superb choice of breakfast, this resort will be on my list for transit from KL to Terengganu in line with Club Med, Royale Chulan Villa, Hyatt and Manggala. I am very frustrated to know about this resort very late. Hopefully one day this resort will join Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt portfolios. Stayed with my parents and siblings in the forrest villa. It is a 3bedrooms villa with private pool. It is a nice design!! Expected from a famous architect Hijjas!! 2 storey villa with 1 room at lower level; suitable for old parents yang tak larat naik tangga. Even the toilet also oku/orang tua friendly. Has private beach by walking distance. Super calm. The staffs are super friendly and accommodating. Thought the foods may need some upgrade. Err not to our taste. Sorry. But overrall, it is the best staycation ever!! And i will definitely come again.. Zen

I had a super pleasant stay here @ The Kasturi. The unit was marvellous, i was stunned by the design & ambience. I would definitely rate 10/10 for the villa (mine was 2 bedroom beachfront villa). But, the breakfast was quite unsatisfactory. The taste was so-so, i’ve been to multiple resorts & hotels, the breakfast served only deserved 2 stars from me. They’re not having buffet, thus, no wide range of delicacies offered. There’re just 3-4 sets of meals to be choose from i think? Anyway, for the stay, its worthy. Had so much fun & privacy here.

We stayed 1 night at 3 bedroom forest villa with private pool. Villa was very spacious. The ground floor room was very suitable for the elderly and those with special needs (OKU). The private pool was very big n clean with nice forest view and fresh air. Food was great and service is excellent.

Spent 3D2N with my young adult daughters and wife, for a quick recharge. We enjoyed the simple yet comfortable villa with nice private pool and access to the beach. Surroundings were clean, quiet and relaxing with staff every ready to serve almost all our needs. Worth the trip!
