Across from the beach”
Nice little hotel. Not beach front you have to go through other hotels but it is very nice. Restaurant is good value if you just want to eat there or compared to other resort restaurants in the area. Of course if you go to local canteen it would be cheaper, but I think the menu here was good. Cold AC, hot shower. Bathroom was a little on the small side but for one person it is a fine room. Might be back for another trip if I end up in Subic again.

RELAXED ATMOSPHERE”
I have stayed at The Lagoon Resort many times. The Owners and Staff are great. It is a little bit out of the main stream (about 15 minute walk or 5 minute trike ride) but thats what makes it ideal and quiet. Good value for the money.

I was staying at Treasure Island but the dates I wanted so I tried Lagoon. Clean nice room but what made it for me was that the restaurant prices were the cheapest I'd found along that 'strip' and the food beautiful

The hotel is small and a bit far from the bars if your fond of drinking and party. The pool is small but you can use the pool in the resort just across the street if you order a food... The staff are very friendly, the food is good , they are very accommodating. Clean spotless room. Very nice hotel

Value for money at the expense of comfort”
We were in a haste to book a hotel and bumped into Lagoon. It's a bit far from central Subic, situated deep in Barrio Barretto. The staff are kind and attentive. We enjoyed playing billiards but did not enjoy the noisy aircon and the smell of the room. For someone whose on a tight budget, don't settle as you can find somewhere else better than this. We booked the standard room. I hope they could freshen up the room as it smells old.

Great place to relax”
This was my second stay here and enjoyed it once again It has a great pool and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Close to the beach and ,any other activities but far enough to be quiet and private. I am happy to recommend this hotel to everyone. It is not the most plush or flashy but it is certainly the best value and gives a better service than the price would indicate. So if you want good value with comfortable lodgings then this is an excellent choice.

Awesome place since when you went out of the resort youll see some tricycle to ride along the place if you dont have car, o the other side the beach. And not too far from the resort you can go to there wet and dry market to buy foods for your beach getaway

Fine for budget travellers”
We arrived here a day later than planned, due to a cancelled flight, which meant we lost a night's booking. We were allowed to change our dates and add the missed night on to the end of our stay, which was appreciated. Our room was upgraded to a standard room (we booked a budget), but I'm glad we hadn't paid the extra for it as it was very small, dark and the shower was unusable. We didn't complain though as we didn't want to be downgraded! The toilet also broke on our last day and wouldn't flush. The aircon unit in the room was very noisy and difficult to sleep through. The room and bathroom were both dirty and old. The restaurant food was really very good though, and was the highlight of our stay, with a wide range of dishes and prices. The pool was murky and very small, with nowhere to sit except the raised edge of the pool. This resort is on a short road of resorts, and a taxi/tricycle ride away from Olongapo. The nearby beach is nothing special but ok to walk along, so be prepared not to go far or to spend a lot on taxis. While we were here we chatted to the owner, who said he has been running the place since July 2015. He's a very friendly Australian man, who was keen to share his knowledge with us. Hopefully he has plans to upgrade the rooms in this hotel, as for now I would only recommend it for budget travellers in the quiet/wet season.

A sidetrip”
It was me, my boyfriend, and a friend. Went here to stay the night prior to hitting the Camayan beach (it was fully booked). Room: It was standard - AC, big bed, toiletries, shower, tv, fridge. I was going to request an extra mattress for my friend but when I saw the bed, it was HUGE and enough to fit 3! So I cancelled that extra mattress and just paid for extra head, which is 200. Fair enough, I think Facilities: The pool was cold and refreshing, it wasn't large but it had enough space. It was clean except for some fallen leaves. The billiards table is free to use when you order at least 1 drink Food: Food was amazing! It was worth it. I loved the Caldereta and Pinakbet. Staff: Absolutely friendly and polite. They smile at you and make you feel welcome despite being the only Filipino group in the middle of an all American guests. They didn't make us feel as if we had less money than the other guests which was common in the area, kudos! I would definitely come back here if ever I'm in the area.

Great staff and good facilities. Food good but availabilty patchy with chef often not available for breakfast before 9am and dinner after 7.30pm. Lucky plenty resorts around for these things.

Excellent this is 2nd time i have stayed here and would recommend to anyone that is on a budget it is clean and has great pool that is kept clean as the owners are australian and use the pool themselves. it is a very friendly helpful place to stay Internet is good It is a budget hotel but you get first class service

Anstandslos gepflegte Zimmer mit dienstbereitem and freundlichem Personal. Schöner Pool mit Mangobaum (?) beschattet und Fangnetz überspannt. Die Preise sind meines ermessens hart kalkuliert. Selbst unser kleiner Junge hatte offensichtlich nichts zu beklagen. Close to the beach & excellent cuisine with friendly room service. Try the Steak tenderloin. We were offered a discount of 10 % on food.

OK for budget travellers. ”
We stayed in a budget room for P1000. It had basic amenities; aircon, hot water, cable tv. The room was ok as were the staff. Nothing fancy but a good deal in that area for budget travellers. I would stay again.

Friendly staff are very accommodating. Rooms were clean with completely working appliances. Quiet inside the room despite the surrounding bars outside. The pool is well kept too. My family enjoyed our stay especially the kids.

Tidy and quaint resort”
An average hotel that provides the basic necessities of a traveler who roams around the city and just stays in the room for sleeping and a little resting. Room size is just right for a family with 2 kids. The location is within a few steps from the beach and nearby convenience stores. The place was quiet and the staff were courteous. Thanks for keeping us safe during our stay.

Disappointed. Booked and paid for two nights. We just stayed for a night and left the following day. Towels are worn out.. Dark place..mosquitoes.. Guest need to use other resorts right of way to the beach.. The beach is very dirty, you can see all the trash along the shoreline, ships.. Barges, big factory.. We didn't even dare to swim even a second, beach water smells and looks toxic.. Sorry but this is 100% review.. Baloy Beach is a sad place to go in terms of beach/swimming.. Good enough there is this front each resort Treasure Island resort that has nice pool, food and ambience. We basically spent our afternoon and morning on this Treasure island resort not at lagoon resort.

Great value for money”
Even for its reasonable tariff, this property over-delivered. It has its own restaurant serving great food at sizable servings until 2000H. The location is something that can't be helped, as it is deep into the road to the beach, but I can't complain nonetheless.

Great Staff!”
The room is quite small. However, they compensate for it by having great staff. The owner even greeted us and have table and chairs setup while we are using the swimming pool. Overall, a very satisfactory stay.
