Great value”
A nice little hotel in the lively Hamra neighbourhood of Beirut. Room was clean and comfortable, all staff were professional and very helpful, there's a really nice lobby bar which doubles as a breakfast room (with outdoor seating) and a choice of three set breakfasts. Hotel also offers airport pickup/drop-off for a $20 charge which is very reasonable. During my three nights here there were only two power outages, both lasting 30 minutes, both on the same night and at around 4-5am and signage throughout the hotel advises about this. Lots of nice restaurants and bars within walking distance and there's a main shopping street a couple of blocks over if you need to pick up things or go to the currency exchange. Recommended and would definitely stay here again!

The location is great. Room was clean. Price was fair. But to charge for a water bottle which is always free, that's not nice and to charge 10 times its price is unacceptable.

Nicely located in Al Hamra. The hotel is an exhausted building with old furniture. The carpet looked very old and dirty. The only smiling person is the bellman who looked so nice. I inquired about an iron before arrival and I was told it is available upon request. We found out that it is available only in the morning.

Exceptional”
Lovely vintage hotel in a great area. Staying at this hotel felt like going back in time. Some reviews complain about the dated rooms, but I found them really charming. It's easy to imagine that you're staying in Beirut in it's heyday in the 60's. Walking distance to loads of nice restaurants, cafes, and bars. About a 20 minute walk to pigeon rock. Breakfast is simple. As a vegan, there wasn't much for me to each besides bananas, but the coffee was nice. Will stay again during our next trip to Beirut.

clearly past its prime, but the mayflower is still an alright place to stay in central beirut if you don't need much more from your hotel than a reasonably comfortable sleeping place. so long as you can tolerate the car honking horns. room 604 facing the side-street, plenty of light, although location in front of elevator not good. furnishings, bath, everything dated, but functional. flat screen tv with good package, excellent free wifi. good breakfast with real coffee. many, many hotel options in immediate vicinity. mayflower priced fairly, and nothing glaringly wrong here. seems to be popular with british. would stay here again unless opting for something in higher price category.

Good Cheap Hotel”
The Mayflower hotel is a relatively cheap hotel for Beirut, the rooms are clean but very basic. There is a good quiet bar for a drink at the end of every day. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is a great location in Hamra. You can easily walk distance to the Hamra shops, the corniche, and AUB etc I would recommend this hotel to people wanting to stay in Beirut.

Good all-round hotel”
this hotel is like an institution in beirut. all the locals and taxis know where it is. its in a great location. the service was second-to-none and always came with a smile. the rooms were good and the bathrooms were a good size, clean and refurbished like new. breakfast was yummy and filling (disappointed when i had to leave actually!). i would definitely choose to stay here again if/when i returned to beirut.

Sailing with the Mayflower”
The Mayflower is in a nice location in the Hamra district of Beirut. The staff is pleasant and is always busy but attentive. Breakfast is very good in a nice room with good service. They have the best croissants that they keep warm and fresh in a special warmer. Would be nice if they had eggs other than hard boiled eggs on a daily basis.. the one day they had scrambled eggs in addition to hard boiled eggs was nice. The room is clean and comfortable. The bigger rooms are better than the single rooms because the bathrooms are much bigger. The staff is professional and genuine in their concern for guests. Thanks, I enjoyed my stay at the Mayflower.

Charming old hotel, professional and reliable”
The hotel should have a shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel could provide help with airport transfers since Beirut is not convenient for everyone. This means that the front desk could take extra time with professionals who are traveling long distance; I almost missed my plane, not because of the hotel, because there is a need for a service which provides convenient check to traveler itinerary and plans. Specifically, airport information at the desk and a clerk who can check times of regular flights.

We arrived early in Beirut and wanted a place to rest as one of us were taken in. Requested to check-in early at 8am and by 8.30am the room was ready for us. The male counter staff (didn’t manage to get his name) was very efficient and polite. Room was basic but clean with a very nice washroom. Bed was exceptionally comfy. We managed a 5 hours rest before we checked-out on the same day to continue our Beirut journey. Definitely an excellent start to our trip. Thank you for the superb service!

Very much for the money”
Located only 2 min from Hamra Str. The building from the 70ies but in very good condition with very spacious public areas; 2 nice and comfortable lobby areas - one with PC and printer and luggage lockers, a very large and coosy bar and a spacious roof top sitting/resting area with a bar and a small pool. No fuss but spacious bedroom with fully modern and spot clean and fully equipped bathroom. I have stayed at several similar hotels in this area but The Mayflower is the one that by far has given me the most for the money. Will certainly stay there again and can highly recommend it.

Great Value for Money”
Good location, great value for money, clean room, and helpful staff. But it is not a famous hotel, which makes it a little hard to find. But you just ask for Crown Plaza Hotel then you can find the Mayflower in street across from it. And there is no night club in the hotel, which is good for a peaceful sleep. the swimming pool is very small but it is clean. breakfast is delicious.

Great location with decent room”
The Mayflower Hotel is conveniently located near the Hamra shopping and dining area and is a 15 minute walk to the beautiful sea front. The hotel appears newer and better maintained than its neighboring hotel, the Napoleon. The rooms are reasonably sized and clean but could benefit from an upgrade as the decor is dated. Staff is generally helpful and breakfast is good.
