Exceptional”
Great place to stay. The hotel was immaculate with all the facilities you could possibly need. Lovely room, and great facilities. Would be nice to have the option of a cooked breakfast, but really great place to stay.

Warning - if you are attending weddings etc and poor breakfast”
If you are booking this place for a wedding or if you're planning to get back late, just be careful. We got locked out of the reception as they lock the doors at 11pm, furthermore, once we were locked out there was no answer to the night porter bell, poor service. We raised this with the reception and they advised they stipulate check in time as 23:00 on the emails, however it is not clearly stipulated that the doors get locked at this time. We luckily had some friends staying in the rooms facing the car park, and slept on their floor. Some feedback for the hotel - if your guests say they are attending a wedding and they're staying in the main building, the likelihood is that they will be back later than the time you lock your doors, you should stipulate this a lot clearer on your booking confirmation emails, and also in person when checking in. You need to warn your guests of this or even give the code for the key safe when people check in. We woke up other guests in the hotel from trying to get in, and we apologised for this, however i'm sure this happens a lot where people come back from a wedding too late, dont realise the closing time and get locked out, so a word of warning if you're looking for a good night sleep here. Oh and after waking up from our sleepless night staying on our friend's floor, we woke up to a breakfast where the weetabix was out of date by a few weeks, the brie was old and crumbly, the apple juice decanted in to a jug had a weird skin on the top. Mind you, there were a few edible items such as the waffles in a packet, the tea was ok, no option for fresh coffee which was a shame. The room was ok and had basic amenities - although no iron, which is a shame for a venue popular for wedding go-ers

Good value, clean”
We had a nearby wedding so the venue was perfect. Clean, friendly staff, just what we needed and as expected. Breakfast isn't exciting but as per reviews and you get what you order. Would go back if I was I the ares for another event

The one chap who was running the place was great. But only continental breakfast which we skipped in search of hot. Good car parking. Room was clean.
