FABULOUS! ”
I went on a solo trip to Hoi An. Before visiting Hoi An, I was really not keen on visiting after the city trips of Saigon and Hanoi. But my view on Vietnam completely changed after visiting Hoi An, and especially the homestay at Moon River. The hosts were absolutely friendly, sweet, caring, and the lists of PROS go on....!!! The location of the homestay is in the ricefield area, and I LOVED IT! As I am a born and raised city person, I required sometime out of the city. The breakfast was absolutely delicious made by Nguyet. Bioth Tri and Ngyuet were extremely helpful, and they even picked me up everrytime I was venturing out in Hoi An town. Their dog is super cute as well, and she comes along with them all the time, even on the motorbikes! If Also, the location is a close bike ride to the beach. Very relaxing. If you are going to visit Hoi An and want to get all three= relaxing, beach, and the UNESCO town, do stay Moon River. Room is clean, shower nice, yummy breakfasts, and FABULOUS HOSTS !

incredible place ”
An outstanding, beautiful place to stay. Genuinely kind, graceful and attentive hosts, Moon and Tri, operate this homestay, creating a home away from home. My sister and I stayed for 2 nights, 3 days, during a rainy week. Sudden bursts of thunderstorms and heavy rain threatened our adventures, but every day, Tri, our host, would offer to pick us up from wherever we needed. He was honest and casual about -- just didn't want us to get too wet or lost or uncomfortable. It was so helpful, and felt like we had family concerned with us. Staying with Moon and Tri (and their cute cute dog) felt like staying with family or very close friends -- people who care about you. We asked for a late check out and it was arranged with no hesitations. We had the best breakfast from local Hoi An served in their dining area, which faces their stunning river front organic vegetable garden. Organically fed chickens roamed freely (they were shockingly quiet, too!) offering such a calm, rural, lovely scene. Truly the most unique stay of our two week multi city stops throughout north, central and south Vietnam. A must do in Hoi An, which is an incredibly nice breather from the hustle bustle of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The place was cleaner than most of the 4 star hotels I've stayed, the surroundings lovely, homestay offers free bicycles for guests which was perfect to get into town (15-20 minute beautiful ride) and just a quick (10 min) and fun ride to the beautiful beach. It was such a wonderful stay, I'm left dreaming of a way to return long term.

Clean, calm and welcoming”
In the middle of the vegetable village, where biological farming is the main occupation, a couple have their lovely homestay, only 30 meters away from the river. It is serene, calm and relaxing to sit outside in the overgrown garden on the rickedy sunbeds, listening to the birds in the bamboo tree and watch cranes hunting for fish, crabs and frogs in the riverbed and the neighbors' Chickens, peacefully picking seeds and occasionally getting chased by dogs roaming the streets. Speaking of dogs: The owners have a cute little dog, who is friendly to all who are friendly to her. She loves being pet but jumps up as soon as she sees a cat, chasing her away. So cute! The room is spacious and clean, the bath modern and the warm water quite quick to come when you open the faucet. In my room (Bottom floor) I could smell dampness and the onset of mold, which is quite normal for this very rainy season. Nothing to be worried about, except if you have respiratory problems or have an illness that is currently attacking your health. In this case I would advise to get a room on the top floor. Another plus of the room were the animal guests. One night, I had the chance of watching a big beautiful moth flapping in my room, attracted by the night stand light that casts wonderful pattern of light and shadows onto the rooms' walls. This again attracted a gecko, which easily entered the room through the rather big slit on the bottom of the room door and I got to watch a Gecko chasing a Moth along the walls from the comfort of my bed. The breakfast is the usual, I got a tasty noodle soup and a savory mango shake. Please note that it's one food and one drink per person. That is very reasonable for the price as it is included. I recommend getting a shake for breakfast they are much more filling, than the also tasty coffee :-) The owners are very nice. The wife took the time and talked to me for a quite a while, because I was the only guest. She also shared a very tasty durian c

Perfect stay, loved it! ”
We really loved our sty here, perfect! Location: - very pretty among the vegetable gardens where locals tend to their crops - lots of nature, cows/chickens roaming around in the garden! - 10-15 min walk to an bang beach - further to hoi an ancient city but Tri (owner) provides free shuttle whenever you want Breakfast: -good selection - you choose the night before -served overlooking the river Staff: - very friendly & helpful - eager to please and really take pride in their service Rooms: - spacious airy light - good bathroom, separate shower cubicle and hot water with good pressure - comfy beds! - perfectly clean We were lucky enough to be here over the full moon so our hosts provided local foods and beer in the garden for the guests under moonlight, it was a lovely way to end our stay and completely free. This place is excellent value for money and the nicest we've stayed in Vietnam! Tri & Nguyet (and their friendly little dog Ny!) were a delight. Stay here! You won't regret it! Thanks for everything x

Lovely and Relaxing Homestay!”
I had a wonderful time staying at the Moon River Homestay and Villa. The hosts are extremely kind and will introduce you to great local food. They helped me book tours and drove me to the airport for my departure, and in general were very accommodating and helpufl. The house is situated in a quiet, peaceful area a short distance from the beach and a short motorbike distance from the main town. The most relaxing stay in my 3-week journey in Vietnam!

Lovely homestay!”
The rooms are spacious and clean, and beds are very comfortable with the soft mattresses. The included breakfast, which was made by Moon every morning, was always very fresh and tasty. Moon and her husband were great hosts that made me feel very welcomed at their homestay. They always helped me with anything I needed, and Moon even drove me to my hostel for free after I checked out. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Hoi An in the future!

Perfect homestay experience!”
Tri and Moon are wonderful people who graciously welcomed us into their home, took us to their favorite local coffee shop and made us delicious breakfasts each morning (even a to-go packed breakfast for our early morning flight). Adorable home, clean rooms & comfy beds! They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, including upgrading us to two separate river view rooms (we are two friends traveling together on a budget who booked one room with two beds). The homestay is located among rice fields and vegetable farms and is a surrounded by beautiful scenery, cooking schools and a few local restaurants. It is a few miles into town, but they offer free bike rentals and will also call a taxi for you to get where you need to be. If you're looking to be in the heart of the ancient town, this might not be the location for you, but if you're looking for great accommodations and an authentic experience with a very sweet local couple, this is the place for you!

Wonderful stay”
The location, in a vegetable farm village, is just perfect for those who are looking for peace and quiet and not too far from the beach or city. A few minutes bicycle ride which they lend for free. They even arranged for motorcycle rental for us which we used exploring the areas around Da Nang. The couple who own and operate the guesthouse really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and trouble free. Sometimes they take us out to try and enjoy the food of Hoi An in the city and other times they let us share their own food. They also offer pick up service to and from Da Nang airport which is very convenient avoiding the hassles of negotiating with taxi drivers. The condition of the rooms is not bad. A homestay with hotel like amenities. I really cannot say anything bad about this place which I think is one of the best if not the best guesthouse we've stayed and for the price.? How can you go wrong! Breakfast? A choice of western or Vietnamese food. It's like staying with old friends. We would have stayed longer if we had a choice. Definitely a place to come back to.

Lovely homestay in peaceful area”
Absolutely loved our stay there. It's a little bit out of Hoi An but they rent out Scooters and the drive from Hoi An to there is really sceneric. The room was super clean and had a nice view and the whole garden was very peaceful. Perfect escape from the busyness of the cities. The Lady who owns the homestay as Well as her husband were just the sweetest. They helped us out every time and even got up with us in the middle of the night because we booked the sunrise Tour to My son. I would absolutely recommend this homestay to everyone who likes an at home atmosphere and a serene peaceful place to stay at.

Beyond excellent”
Our stay at Moon River is probably one of the best throughout our trip to Vietnam. The room is clean, comfortable. The staff - a couple of husband and wife - went way far beyond what we expected to take good care of us. We will definitely plan to come back to this beautiful place whenever we return to Hoi An in the future.

Perfect 10/10”
Stayed here 5 nights and loved it. Everything deserves a top rating for this place. The couple that run it are friendly, warm and happy. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by greenery, fields growing fruits and vegetables, small lakes and river. The owners provide bicycles so you can ride to the best beach in 5 minutes or to the town in 15. Perfect location. I was also very surprised about the quality of the room. For the price you pay it is exceptional. Very comfy bed, clean, modern, fridge, wifi, good aircon, luxurious bathroom etc etc. You cannot go wrong with this place, the reviews are all well deserved

Great hosting”
We enjoyed our stay here : Moon is very nice, the breakfast is good and you can borrow bicyle for free, which is good to go to Hoi An center or to the beach (10 min each). Moon also provides cooking lessons : we did not have the opportunity to try but you should definitely ask her !

amazing hosts made amazing stay”
If you have the opportunity, get to know the hosts. They took us out to breakfast and coffee in town several times. They teach you more about Hoi An then you would learn on your own. They're the sweetest people and their homestay is just lovely. We're already planning a trip back next year and without a doubt will be staying here again.

Homestay is not a Hotel”
Staying at the Moon River was just ok, the rooms are clean and location is a bit isolated, that means silent, but also well located between the beach and old town. The staff is very friendly and trying to be helpful, but they need to pay more attention in order to make the guest's stay more smooth, and maybe specifically with me and my wife they were unlucky and a bit careless: - On the arrival at the airport, our transfer got there more than 30min late, and although they have been very communicative before my arrival at the airport, they didn't reply my emails when I need it. - I've booked the biggest room and paid in advance on Agoda, but they put me in the room next to it, which looks the same but is clearly smaller. When I complained about it, he mentioned they are the same size, but since it was available, I've asked to change anyway. Also because the refrigerator at the previous room was noisy. - At one night the silent was badly broken by the neighbor who kept a loud water bomb running by gas the whole night to drain a fishing pool. This was just in front of my window, but feels like a truck inside the room. So bear in mind that neighbors are make their living and won't keep the silence for you. - And finally the breakfast, what I've ordered one day had things missing, also another day they were out to buy ingredients while I've been waiting at the table for it. So it's basically a homestay, and Hoi An became over tourist, with all it's people trying to go into this business to make their living. So if you don't expect a professional service, you would be fine at their place. But for me I had a few disappointing experiences that made me change to another place.

Amazing stay!!!”
My wife and I stayed at this property for 5 nights and had an unbelievably great time. The room was excellently appointed, with great air conditioning, a super comfortable bed, and a perfect shower. And although everything was fantastic, it paled in comparison to the hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay the best we've had in all of Asia thus far. They offered to drive us to town and back, lent us bicycles for free, and even let us use the motorbikes when the bicycles were all taken. One night they hosted a wonderful BBQ with enough food and beer to feed a small army. Breakfast was always delicious, served at any time, and came with many options. I really can't recommend this homestay highly enough. Please just go, you won't regret it. And if you do, give Ny, the cutest house dog, a few scratches for me.

Exceptional! My friend and I stayed here and we were very sad to leave. The couple who own the villa are very friendly and helpful. Free pedal bikes, awesome breakfast, great quiet location, and the beds were comfortable. We also did a cooking class and it was a lot of fun! Great way to get to know the culture. Don’t miss out ! Unbeatable quality”
Not sure where to start. The hosts are wonderful, going above and beyond for you, the rooms are spacious, with AC. Breakfast is not only included, but you can choose what you want from a long list of local and western options. Very fast internet is available, and all that located in a charming rural area, less than 1km from a beautiful beach and 2.5km away from the city center. They also have a pick up service from airport, which is cheaper than all the taxi companies. WE LOVED IT!
