Lovely staff, made us feel welcome the moment we stepped through the door. ”

Rooms were basic but very comfy bed and clean sheets with clean toilet and shower. Ideally placed in Morecambe on the sea front near the centre. Had a good night sleep and lovely full english.( what happened to the black pudding though!). Also dog friendly. I would stay again

Nice Hotel”

The staff were friendly and courteous when asked anything. The facilities were okay, bar prices competitive. Breakfast well cooked. It was worth the upgrade to a sea-view. Hotel right on the front. Clean although a bit tired looking as is the case with most of these hotels and B&Bs'.

Short stay at Morecambe Bay Hotel for pleasure”

The location was great. The staff were Friendly. The food was good.

The room was too small and the furniture falling to pieces. Bathroom door wouldn't open properly as bed was in the way. There was no socket near Mirror for hair curlers or other devices. I had to lean at an awkward angle to try and see what I was doing. The bathroom curtain had fallen down or wasn't put up in the first place but we were able to fix that. The lounge and dining area were nice so it was a shame about the room itself.Linen was clean though. Staff were friendly.

Great location but found the whole place unfinished, dirty and a bit cold. Room needs a lot of love!”

Pros if where the hotel is situated and the money. Would have liked more info on breakfast though and maybe to be included. Also would have liked a hair dryer in the room. It would have been nice also to have been greeted in a nicer manner and to have handed back my food key rather then just leaving at the desk. I wasn’t sure what to do and the door was always open which meant anyone could just walk in and take the key etc. Better security needed I think. All in all I really enjoyed morcambe-would consider coming back again if the room had a little more attention to detail although I could see workers doing up other room so maybe this is a work in progress. Thankyou!

Value for money”

We paid £15 per person (no breakfast) amd got what you would expect for that amount. The rooms where little run down but the bed linen was clean and bathroom had been redone recently. The rooms where small, however we were only staying night while travelling north. You cant expect more for what we paid for it.

We were given key to room, then never saw anyone in the hotel at any time throughout the 2 night stay. We could not regulate shower, had a fire exit door in our bedroom, no replenishment of tea, coffee, milk etc. this place should be renamed 'The Marie Celeste'. Overall a poor set-up.

Avoid at all costs”

The place is so very dirty. I had a double room with sea view. I considered sleeping in my car rather than stay in the room. The carpet, walls, skirting ...everywhere really was dirty. There was no where to hang a coat or clothes, there was no tube in the light above the bed, the floor boards in the bay window felt like they were going to go right through, and the bed sheet had a couple of very dubious stIns on it. The blinds were a struggle to pull down, and the centre one could not be pulled all the way. There was a very scary lift in the building, with no number to call if there was an issue. There was no one around in the morning when I checked out to address my issues with.

The worst bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in”

location, seaview

firstly I think the image shown on website should be the front of the actual hotel and not the lifeboat station. On arrival the door was locked and we were left standing with our luggage in a strong wind while we repeatedly knocked to attract attention. E ventually we did spot a member of staff and when she realised that we were locked out went on a hunt to find the key. When checking in there was confusion as to how I had paid.Went up to room and could not believe how poor it was, website shows well presented rooms but this looked like it could belong in a hostel. The door did not close unless you pushed it with your bottom, bathroom looked grubby needed a complete refit, when you opened door into room it touched the bottom of bed, room was that small. flex on kettle did not reach plug, again had to track someone down before we could make tea.mattress was cheap and uncomfortable so slept poorly, light over bed did not work.. Could not have a meal in hotel as we had planned ,restaurant, was closed.went for breakfast, admittedly they were busybut length of wait was still unacceptable, husband enjoyed his but as a veggie mine was very sparse. toast did not arrive with food. I asked for it and was given cold hard toast. when i spoke of my disappointment in room was told to have a family room next time but shouldn't have to do that to get a decent double room. we paid vastly overpriced.
