One of the friendliest hotels in Gangtok”

The hote staff is very friendly and courteous. We had an amazing time with Nettle and Fern. The food is awesome. The only thing the hotel need to improve is on cleanliness and hygiene.

A hotel with value for money”

The staff service is good and they are polite. The dining quality and location is also good. The only drawback was the room provided did not had roadside view. However, the facilities and infrastructure is good. Would highly recommend it for other travelers who are interested in quality staying

Clean large rooms with heaters, rooms with view and comfortable beds. Nice restaurant. Breakfast could have been better and heater in the bathrooms weren’t effective.

The stay was pleasant. Staff is coordial and polite. Although the hotel a 20 minutes walk away from MG road but the stay is altogether good.

Fantastic little boutique hotel”

We booked the valley view suite rooms, which were very spacious, well appointed and had everything we needed - from hairdryers to fans to huge wall mounted heaters to back-up lights And cable TV. Breakfast was decent.

I was there with my friends, we all agree it's superb to stay with them. Their staffs were very kind and helpful. Their rooms were clean, safe and nice. As a budget traveler, that's all we would ask for right?. I could say this will be my first and only choice to pick up for my next-time in Gangtok.

We booked here based on other reviews and it did not disappoint. Had dinner in the restaurant the first night and did not return as restaurants in town were better. Breakfasts were good though with lots of variety. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed Gangtok very much.

On a ridge overlooking a valley”

I had a delux room which had a separate lounge sitting area. The windows looked out down a wooded slope to a valley. The only issue was the water which lacked pressure and wasn't hot but you are up near the Himalaya's so so what. There are 3 floors and no elevator so be prepared to carry you luggage. The restaurant in the 'basement' (it also looks over the valley) is good and the pork and potato curry was very good. Its a Nepalese traditional dish. The hotel can arrange a pickup from Bagdogra at a reasonable price and a private taxi is essential for getting around unless you are part mountain goat.

Very good value, exceptional views”

This is a fantastic budget hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is only a short walk to markets (10 minutes). I booked the deluxe room with a view and was very happy. The staff are only to willing to assist you with any request and are very friendly. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

the room looked clean, bit it was not! 4 of us stayed in the hotel, 2 went for injection due to serious red spot and itchy! worst hotel!

Great Hotel. ”

We had to extend our stay here for an additional 2 nights to 4 nights total as we loved the place so much. The valley view rooms are superb, the breakfast is great and the atmospheric restaurant is a perfect place to have a beer at night time. The staff are friendly and only to willing to help.

I highly recommend the nettle and fern hotel in Gangtok, the view of the valley is splendid, the hotel is well located 10mn of walk from Mg Road but better because it's calm, the staff of the hotel was Perfect, the restaurant is really good, what a wonderful stay in sikkim.
