Magical stay!”

We loved everything! This was the most beautiful and charming cottage we've stayed in. We only stayed for one night but wished we had stayed for longer! The whole house was very clean and spacious. The house was very old but it's been taken care of so well that its age gave it a nice charm to the house. It also had many modern touches to it and new modern tools that were usedul. The location was superb, on a hill top with views over the garden, mountains and the ocean. Our favourite part of the house was the conservatory that had some amazing views. We can't wait to come back to it!

Great location and perfect for families”

To start with, we thought we were booking an apartment within the property as that what it says in the website but it's the whole house! The house is big. We are a family of four but has enough beds for 6 and all the areas are big. Plenty of spaces to sit and relax. Wonderful views of the see. The beach is a walk away or 2 minutes in the car. The whole Skye is beautiful but this area in particular is amazing. You can find dinosaur footprints nearby on the beach! The house is just fully equipped. Just bring some food if you want to cook. We found oil and spices. No coffee though. There is a small shop down the road and plenty of walks, sheep, beach and beautiful scenery all around. Thus house is just a perfect country woody stoney place to chill and relax after a day out. You will find dvds, books and a fireplace for rainy days. The host is really nice too.

Beautiful setting”

The old inn is situated in the most beautiful setting with views overlooking the sea. The house itself has a great history and is so beautiful- it is tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable and well equipped. Calum the host of very friendly and helpful, he has the most well behaved dog who loves to play and adores children. We really had a wonderful stay and hope to be back again soon!

The place was amazing, we had great views and very good amenities. The owners were great and facilities clean. Unfortunately due to Covid we didn't get the chance to spend time more time with the owners as we would have loved.

Amazing property, great spot”

Great property and location for our family of 5. Really a great and tranquil spot with coastal views and cattle in the adjacent land. The property has been refurbished with great talent and it makes a great retreat in an amazing island. Location is great, very close to the Meatfalls and the Quaraing. Would absolutely recommend. Great value for the money.

5* accommodation! Stunning views all around. The house has good size bedrooms, all nicely decorated. There is a lovely large fully equipped kitchen. The conservatory is like a cherry on the cake as it allows you to relax in the evening while enjoying the panoramic seaview. The house is within a walking distance from the beach and only a short drive from a couple of view points and the Storr.

Absolutely gorgeous location”

The house is lovely, and in such a gorgeous place, it has everything you need while away, and we even had a visit from a little sheep one morning, the beds were comfy and cooking was easy, we will definitely be back at some point to explore more, I could sit and look at that view forever
We ran out of hot water, not sure if we we’re supposed to of done something but the kids ended up with a cold bath 😂 and there wasn’t any logs, a fire would of added to the experience, and we couldn’t seem to find a WiFi signal, but this turned into a positive as we were all cut off from the world for a bit 😁

Cracking location with amazing views. 2min walk from one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. 5mins from Kilt Rock and 10mins from the Old man of Storr. Property itself has everything, topped off with a fully glass sitting area which has fantastic views out to the Atlantic Ocean.

Flawless! Beautiful location; house itself speaks history, yet is very modern and well maintained. Everything is double glazed, so even the conservatory won't be affected by the weather.

Lovely old building in a fantastic location for getting away from things.”

Big old house in a fantastic location. Lots of cooking pots/utensils and a double cooker. Plenty of parking. Great outdoor space. Comfy lounge. Welcome gifts (wine and biscuits). Heating warmed the house really quickly despite the open space. Wood burner was an added bonus. Easy walking down to dinosaur beach and slip way.
Lighting in the kitchen was a bit dim and not much space for food storage (although the kitchen was a great place to eat). Conservatory looked fantastic but was incredibly cold when we visited in the depths of December. Description should include location off road to beach/slipway.

The house had so much character, and was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated . It was lovely that a bottle of wine and some home made biscuits with wild flowers were left on our kitchen. It gave a lovely personal touch and all the facilities were available.
