Unique place”
I am very happy I got to stay at this unique place where thai and burmese youths are getting opportunity to be well educated in catering and hospitality. For me it was great experience to see the process of education as I was part of it during breakfast, dinner and accomodation. The service was with one word fantastic, I felt like in 5* hotel as the food was delicious I could not resist to extend my stay one more day. Students are still learning english, so they cannot understand all but there was always very pleasant to talk and capable manager near by willing to help. This was so far in my trip biggest little surprise among accomodations I chose.

The Budget”
This budget hotel is a training dummy of the hotel and culinary school as its name indicated. The students have the potential for their politeness and willingness to serve. The hotel is located in a remote place far from the downtown of Mae Sot, therefore, you may have to plan ahead how to get there. The room is very spacious with sufficient facilities. Be aware of the slippy floor of the bathroom especially if you are a senior traveller like me.

The hotel is kind of a training school hotel but this it really doesn't matter because the staff and girls who are learning are great. Good staff, they informed us about everything we needed to know and the are friendly. The hotel is 10 minutes by car out of town but taxis are cheap and is good for resting been outside the town center. The only downsite here is the shower, the bathroom is really nice but the shower door had no separation at the bottom and the water was coming out being retaining on the ground, so we have to asked for a mop to dry it.

Pros: kettle in the room, clean, quiet, spacious room, green grassy garden, free pick up from border checkpoint, staff keen on helping to get around Cons: very limited option for food around I was sad I could not try the Passport restaurant food as they seldomly operate during the week, and now they just closed for the holidays! Overall I would recommend it!
