Nicw comfortable B&B”
Only stayed one as I attending a wedding. Room was comfortable and clean. Lots of room! For a one night stay, would definitely recommend. Only down side is the there's not much in the way of pubs or places to eat after 4pm as the hotel pretty much closes. There's a Spar shop across the road but drinking beer on the street corner is a bit common!😂. Having said that, there are pubs about 3 miles away in the next village so if you're a walker, then this might not be too bad. The brekkie in the morning was really good. Nice selection of food with Vegan options, and all cooked fresh to order. I paid £99 for my one nights stay and I think I got value for money. Would recommend

Crazy Hot Sweaty Room with no fan”
My stay sadly was very uncomfortable due to a lack of a fan in the room. I can't believe after charging over £100 a night for a room, they dont feel it their responsibility to have the room to a bearable temperature. I've stayed in many hotels this summer in the UK and this was the most expensive and the only one that didnt have a fan. I asked on arrival was advised there was no fan. Its no excuse as we have had a very hot summer now for more than a month and they cost as little as £15, yet I had to spend my first night in appalingly hot conditions. I had friends arrive the next night who kindly brought me fan. They are hoteliers themselves and couldnt believe the crazy hot temperature of my room when the arrived to bring me the fan! The room is also just not worth the money, it is very basic indeed, there was no coffee in my room (lots of tea but no coffee) and the furnishings were not very desirable for the money. I only stayed as I was at a wedding close by but I really wouldnt recommend. There is no way to get any food or drink after approx 4pm so you just sat in your basic, expensive, sweat box of a room! Also whilst having my breakfast my first morning, I was asked what time I would want my breakfast the next morning (a whole 24 hours later), I said I had no idea but she repeatedly asked me 4 times so I felt pressured to just say anytime. A very disappointing experience all round. This hotel has so much potential to be nice, if they would just put their hands in their pockets and spend a bit of money so that the guests can be comfortable.
