Misleading Bedroom Setting”
Truly disappointing about the room furnish. Especially the squeaking bed which a totally turn off when I sat on it. And linen looks as if it’s unchanged or not sufficient detergent used during washing. We booked it for two days on the weekend intended to have a relaxing staycay. But the comfort factor turns us off.

Check is is 2pm arrive 0150pm was made to wait till 0225pm before getting my room. The room is very small corner room and can hear people talking beside. The bathroom can see the road only pasted with paper that is falling off in the corners or sides. This is the worst visit with the hotel used to visit this place quite frequently.

So far consider quite not bad and the location quite convenience , but the only things we was stayed with the room are faced main road , and the sound of project renovation it's was too loud, unable to rest well & the window curtain color is too light not even can cover the sunlight in the morning.

Staycation with bestie (2pax): initial thought when I first arrived was horrid - it was located with a pub right on the first level and a funeral casket company right beside. Toilet at the bottom was disgusting with people smoking inside. Hotel allows for travellers on VTL and SHN. However, we were lucky to have gotten a pretty large room. Aircon was good, heater was good. Bed was comfy as well. Do note that when you were to request for a change of towels, the housekeeping staff was preaching and mentioning that it is off schedule and they do not make up the rooms. After reemphasizing that we only need a change of towels (at 2pm in the afternoon, they then went to change the towel). Service receptionist at the counter was not friendly or welcoming as well. Overall value for money for the room (if you get the family room).

Price wise is decent for a no-frills stay. Unfortunately we were given a room on level 3 facing main road. not sure if it's because of the fire escape window in the room or if all the rooms are like that, but we couldn't sleep at all as the birds chirping and cars/bikes zooming past could be heard all night. it was very loud... not just 1 bird or 2 birds but an entire orchestra of birds sitting on the tree outside the window. sound of motorbikes revving could also be heard the entire night. plus it was raining, the sound of car tires skidding against the road could be heard loud and clear...

Hotel is old”
There are many 3-Star hotels in Singapore that are almost same price as The Quay Hotel. They need to improve the facilities. The aircon is old and not cold, it even broke down twice during my 2 nights stay. Even at the hallway is very hot. Food delivery can go up straight to your room. No security. I was shocked when they knocked on my door. I was thinking of going down to collect it at the lobby. I won’t be surprised if there’s more people inside the rooms that were not accounted by the staff. Overall… though cheap is still not value for money.

Solor Traveller - I Do not Recommend”
Took me some time to find the place. Room was not that clean. I had issues with the Aircon and rather than change my room, I had to go back and forth with the maintenance guy which was so inconvenient as I was there to have a relaxing stay. Staff were okay but it really takes time before they respond.
