Acceptable”

Never been so disappointed! Nothing like pictures on site...never been so misled by an online booking site.Room was rundown, dirty, stained, furniture dirty & burn holes, walls dirty & missing chunks of paint.Mattress was old ,could feel springs.Room was damp & cold.No toilet paper.Wifi didn't work. (why would it when everything else was so bad).I lasted 20 minutes then checked out & booked into a nearby Travelodge.

Probably one to avoid!”

Good location if you like student pubs (I do). Hotel and room itself are old, knackered and run down. Lots of noise from other rooms and outside (students). One tiny hand towel in the bathroom and you had to run around the shower to get wet. No toilet roll either. Room also very cold. Not the "safest" feeling hotel either (hard to describe why...) As others have said it is acceptable, JUST, if you are having a night out close by and need somewhere to crash, otherwise spending an extra £10 and upgrade to somewhere a bit less sketchy if probably the way to go.

Disappointed with lack of cleanliness and maintenance.”

The room we stayed in was decent for one night and the price we payed. But I wouldn't stay for a week or ever again. The hotel and the bar looked tired and in desperate need of a refurbishment (the bedding especially needs updating) and there was a terrible lack of cleanliness and we weren't able to leave our key in the departure box on our exit because it looked like it had been broken into. The only good things I can say about the place is how good the service was and how comfortable the beds were.

Could feel every spring in the bed. No towels in the room. Lock was falling off the door. Staff did sort towels and lock out straight away.

Nightmare stay”

Stayed at many places for the same price but this was by far the worse. Pub says it all as soon as you walk in, dark hardly any lighting quite spooky really. Place was run down, my room had no lock on the door so had to put a chair against the door. People in the next room had a party till 3 or 4 in the morning and had no concern for any of the other guest. No one around to ask them to keep the noise down. Hot water for a shower in he evening but none in the morning. All in all would never stay there again
