An incredibly strange but wonderful stay. A++”
In the many times that I've stayed at a backpacker/budget hotel during my many travels, this hotel has to go down as the most interesting experience I've ever had, even though me and my girlfriend only stayed for one night. The Red Tulip itself is hidden in a very discreet location within Angeles, which is good since its mostly quiet, without the bustle from the main roads but within walking distance to the town center. The room that we got was enormous and had everything we needed. I think they were fully booked, so the only room remaining was one of their biggest rooms. Free upgrade! We just needed a clean place to spend the night since we had a connecting flight back home early the next day. Instead we were pleasantly surprised with an engaging dinner and night out on the town courtesy of the owner Rob, the man with the key to the city, or so it seems that way. Had a fantastic dinner prepared by the in house chef who makes tasty local and European food and affordably priced at that. We were then given a private tour of the bar scene in Angeles City by Rob, who kept us away from the sleazy red light section of town and instead took us to proper bars with live bands that the locals go to, and everyone there knew him and treated us like we were the guests of honor because of him. He even paid for our drinks and shared a few interesting stories about life in Angeles City. The next day, when we were checking out, Rob was the one who drove us to the airport and even stopped by the local fruit stall so that we could sample some of the local fruits before we left. All in all, it was very nice of the owner to take the time to do these things for us and made our stay a very memorable one.

Good Place to Sleep”
If you're travelling in Clark and wanting to just relax after an exhausting activity, Red Tulip is a good place to stay. Great service from their friendly Staff. Very welcoming. Location is near at the Mall, Airport (Diosdado Macapagal Internaional Airport), Duty Free Shops and other activity centers. For solo travelers like me, you can expect to get the best from what the hotel offers. Spacious room for a single person. Air-conditioned, Television. You'll almost feel like your just at home. The staff is very accommodating. If you need someone to talk to, they'll be there ready to chat with you. Thank You Red Tulip for a great experience at your hotel!

Our staff of 1 was booked for a fan room. (Un)Fortunately the last room was taken and the only vacant room left was with an A/C. So it was an instant upgrade for our staff. He was very happy they didn't charge him extra. Plus, the hotel owner himself was the one who ferried the guests who were bound for the Clark Airport for an early morning flight - for a reasonable fee of course! No need to haggle with pesky taxi drivers. All in all, our staff had a very pleasant stay at Red Tulip.

My girlfriend and I stopped in on a layover and were treated great here. As soon as we checked in they made sure to hookup the cable box immediately. There was a mini fridge with drinks in it and AC. Later on they let me use the computer free of charge to print something out. At one point one of the owners gave a us a free beer and chatted with us for awhile. He ended up taking us out to a couple of local bars with bands and paid for everything. A very friendly guy and excellent host. They also have Dr. fish massages and more traditional massages included in the room service. The rates are cheap and the location is just on the edge of the action in Angeles. They are expanding soon too so expect this place to be a favorite for years to come. It will be the only place I stay whenever I return.

Only about 15 mins from Clark airport,very near the SM shopping mall,also only by walk you can go to the bar street,first time in Clark stay this hotel,I feel very comfortable here,boss of this hotel is very friendly,also workers very nice,next time when I travel to Clark,I will still stay in this nice hotel with the nice people!!

i only spent one night in this hotel so i can't really say much about it. i arrived there pretty late at night (better say early in the mornin) because my flight was delayed. it was not far from the airport at clark and the staff was very friendly and helpful even at such an early hour. the room and also the bathroom was clean. the hotel also has a restaurant with good food and fair prices.

its a wonderful place, at first i had fear how to go to this hotel. Onces i am at the angeles city the direction placed to approach to this hotel is simple and walking distance from the main happing place(Walking Lane) in Angeles City. Its only 6 peso to reach the main bas station.The night duty security guard is very helpful. He makes sure that you are safe till you walk passed the church coner. Keep up the good service. quiet place for longer stay”
the place location is about 10 minutes (by foot, not by tricycle) away from the main road with many convenient shops, jeepney terminal (known as c-point) and the red restrict zone. for low budgetery travel, it suits me as it cover all my needs, although some of the facility is a bit old like aircon. nevertheless, the staff are nice and friendly. there's also safeguard for security purpose (this is norm in clark-angeles).

Simple and nice ”
Its accomodative place for cheap price.. purchased through agoda with a price of MYR38 per room per night. The location is basically in walking distance from SM shopping complex and Angeles City about 15 min, however the route is actually not through main road but through small streets with not much publics going around.However it is safe if you are moving in group. The rooms are clean but the water pressure is low in the bathroom. What i like about the place is they had good lobby with cushions chairs and with low volume of nice musics. The staff are very hospitable especially Neri ( whom i believe is co owner of the place). If you plannivng for a budget trip with accomodation for one or two nights in clark.. the place would be accomodative enough with basic fasilities. Additional info : Airport tranfer to hotel would cost 500 Peso and from hotel to airport would cost 350 Peso.

i arrived at 2.00 a.m. at clark airport and was hoping for airport pick-up which i had requested through agoda special request column. however, since there's no pick up from the hotel, i took a taxi which cost me peso. upon arriving at the hotel, i was told that all rooms were sold so i had to wait till one of the guests check out at 5.00 a.m. meanwhile, the staff, ms mylene had courteously provided me with some pillows and bed sheet so i can take a nap at the reception area. got my room finally at 6.00 a.m. and i was pleased that it was big and clean.

quiet location and friendly staff”
Located away from the action, but close enough to whatever you might want, this is a quieter budget option. The standard rooms are not great, but I upgraded to a deluxe and it was well worth it. No wifi signal in the upper rooms, unfortunately. The dining area has a pool table, and one of the two chefs puts out great food. Found all the staff friendly and respectful, even as some of the guests can be quite rude to them. For me, the clincher was the owner, an outgoing and endlessly entertaining guy. One evening he offered to take me to see the 'real' Angeles City, away from the tourist-oriented girlie bars. Had a great time, with cheap drinks and fantastic live music... so did it again the next night.

we were amazed by the restaurant. the owner of the hotel was dutch and therefore offered all kind of dutch food. the hotel was basic. we only stayed there to get our connection flight the next day. for one night it is okay however clark is not a place where i would like to spend my holidays

Friendly hotel perfect for any kind of traveller”
The standard room in this hotel is very poor so I upgraded to a much better room for a very reasonable price to cater for my 2 week stay. The hotel staff are friendly but only clean the room on request rather than as a matter of course. The 24 hour restaurant is excellent and the food is of a very high standard prepared by a very experienced Dutch Chef along with his also good Filipino sidekick. Do not give any expensive clothing for washing to the hotel as it will dissapear with no reasonable explanantion or remorse. The hotel is located in a quiet peaceful area only 5 minutes walk to the main road where you can find many bars and restaurants. Good place to stay for first time visitors to the area or if you want a peaceful nights sleep away from the hustle and bustle.

OK place but had roaches”
This place was OK and could have potential. It is located an easy walk to fields. The dirt road leading to the hotel was always very safe. The TV and cable worked, internet connection was stable. My belongings and items I left in room were always safe and never touched. The place is somewhat old and run down. Do not expect quality showers, new bed sheets, etc. The biggest problem I had for my stay was the roaches. During my longer stay here I probably killed over 10-20 of them, sometimes killing 3 in a row over my long stay. Many days I did not see them but many days I did see them. Usually they were in the bathroom, but they were in the room also. I saw them coming out of one of the drain pipes in the bathroom. When turning on the bathroom light at night I was almost always guranteed to see them in the bathroom. They were roaches of all sizes, big, small medium. I would have blamed the philippines but I never saw any roaches in any of the many hotels I stayed at. Sometimes when walking by rooms being cleaned I would smell roach spray. The problem I think is the hotel is not using proper techniques to kill roaches. Sprays are useless, you need the stuff like gels and bait. One thing that surprised me is that not one other review complained about the roaches. I honestly can not understand this because I spoke with people in the hotel and they say they saw some roaches. While the place isn't infested with them you will see them often enough. I guess the people are very nice at the hotel so nobody wants to give negative feedback. However, I rely on the reviews to look for stuff like this so feel obligated to let people know that they may have roaches.

Cheap Budget Backpacker-type Place”
Stay was just as expected. Very very basic and extremely budget place. Dutch owner was not around. Quite possibly cheapest in AC catered to foreigners. Hidden in a local street in Josefa Subdivision, down the street from Eruptions Bar, Red Tulip is a no frills basic lodge located in a local neighborhood. Rooms & facilities have seen better days and needs an obvious upgrade. Other than that, nice quiet sleep here and a decent stay.

Nice and safe, good location. Close to the bars but far enough from the noise. Staff is very friendly and ready to help with anything. Good hot shower and great water pressure. Wi-Fi is one of the best in the hotels i stayed in the last few weeks.

It was pleasant stay in this hotel in Angeles city. Hotel is located in quiet environment but not far from bustling center of Fields. Big jacuzzi room is newly renovated, everything works there with friendly staff.
